The Guitarist and Composer: Learn the Guitar as you compose Muisc

Rate this book
A book written for those who play just a little guitar, and know a few chords, who have written some lyrics and want to know how to turn what they have written into a song. This is also a great book to learn the guitar with. It's not a beginner book but does take someone who is at the beginning level and can lead them systematically to an advanced level. This is a book like no other in how it teaches guitar, music theory, and song form all at the same time. This book will show you chord progressions, the theory behind the chord progressions, as well as teach you chords. The use of the capo is covered in lessons as well. All types of chords from the open position to moveable bar chords, as well as the C A G E D (five shapes) are taught. Styles of music are covered from the blues to pop music and beyond. Scales are presented with modal writing, and modal interchange to help you compose music. The guitar theory and music theory you need to be a song writer are within the pages of this study as well as how be a good guitarist.
