Colette Strand takes her modeling career seriously enough that it gained her a stalker. She’s not afraid of him, but of men like him. Living an organized and private life keeps her anxiety at bay and her family out of the tabloids.
Long before their chance meeting while on the way to his best friend’s wedding at the Kingsbrier ranch business mogul, Devon Walsh, is familiar with the intricacies of Colette’s past. He refuses to accept the emotional disguise Colette wears to keep her world in order, and he shows her how freeing chaos can be. But for as fast as their relationship begins moving, Devon also holds Colette at arms length.
When Devon reveals the darkest places inside of him, Colette can’t help wondering if he wants her at all.
Jody Kaye writes interconnected steamy contemporary romance, including the unbridled Kingsbrier Quintuplets and the emotionally charged, multi-generational southern Shattered Hearts of Carolina series.

Okay, I thought Colette would end up with Colton. I was surprised that she didn't. Both Colette and Devon have a lot to overcome. I'm talking eating disorders and a father killing a mother. It's a lot but after reading the story I don't think Colette would have worked with anyone but Devon. He won me over in a big way. This one also sets up Colton.I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This review was originally posted on Wickedly Romance
As you may know by now, I absolutely love the Kingsbrier Quintuplets series! When I saw love, really what I mean is I am obsessed with the series and when Jody says she has a new book coming out, I jump! This series is everything that is good about the romance genre, and Colette is no exception! Characters that are larger than life, deep emotion, and sizzling chemistry are just a few of the qualities you can expect to find in all of Jody's books. I have to say that I really have had the expectation, all throughout the series, that Colette would end up with Colton, so imagine my dismay when it's not Colton, but Devon, Adam's friend and sort of boss! That being said, I found myself sucked in by Devon and he won me over - in a big way! I found it so easy to identify with Colette. Ok, the big differences between us being that she's rich and a super-model, and I am anything but... HA! However, she is so incredibly real - struggling with severe anxiety, an eating disorder, and PTSD, not to mention growing up as a ward of the state, and finally finding her family in her 20's. It was time for her to get her happily ever after! This book, can easily be read as a stand-alone, but really I recommend reading the ENTIRE series... Each book builds on the last, and you really must get to know the whole family! Jody, you have outdone yourself!! Two amazing books just a few weeks apart - and they just keep getting better and better! Thank you for letting me be a part of your world! ❤️
EEP! This is the fifth book in an interconnected standalone series - it can be read by itself, but I recommend reading them in order. I was so excited to read Devon and Colette's story - and I was not disappointed! Jody Kaye has quickly become a favorite author for me! All of these books are well written with amazing, yet very different story lines. AMAZING!
To anyone looking at Collette she appears confident and successful but inside her past has left her with doubts and insecurities that still remain with her. Devon has a painful past of his own but when fate, family and friends bring them together will they be able to help each other heal?
Hot chemistry, great characters and so much emotion.
This was a super read it is a really good well-written romance that will quickly have you hooked. The storyline is good and the characters are real and likable. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all romance fans.
Colette gets her story and I am so freaking glad to get to know her more. This girl has been through the ringer but I am so happy with how things turn out for her. Her and Devon just vibe so well and have a whirlwind romance that sets place in a LOT of drama. As with the other stories the overall series builds during this one and we can get a sneak peek in the last and final book of the series, Colton, not gonna lie, his was the one I was waiting for! I did enjoy Colette and getting to know this girl though!
PS: I received a free copy of the book to read and review honestly.
Wow, that's all I can say, is wow. I am generally not a fan of fast romances as they seem unrealistic to me. This one, GOT ME. I fell in love with Devon almost immediately. And, he's perfect for Colette. They have a chemistry you can feel!
I have loved "growing up" with this family and watching each character bloom. ....Patiently waiting for more!
This is a good, well written story. I have enjoyed the Kingsbrier Quintuplets series.
This series is everything that is good about the romance genre, and Colette’s story, as one of the Quintuplets is no exception.
Characters that are larger than life, deep emotion, and sizzling chemistry.
The story moves quickly and covers some serious issues in a plain manner that is so believable. Colette and Devon have such a dynamic relationship. A must read.

The fifth book in The Kingsbrier Quintuplets series a well written book that held my interest throughout, a story I enjoyed reading. This is Colette and Devon's story about all the things they both have to overcome. Colette's is her eating disorder and Devon's is the fall-out from his deceased father who was not a nice man and the death of his Mother because of his father. This story runs smoothly from one page to the other. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She took a chance on life. She always felt like the black sheep in the family. It wasnt until she accepted that being adopted is a good thing. She got her family and parents that love her just as she is. She also needed a hard lesson on just letting go. It does a major number on you when always hanging on and just attaching yourself to things that don't really matter.

I enjoyed this new "Kingsbrier Quintuplets" story! It's well written with great characters and a good plot. I love Devon and Colette's story including the wonderful ending! They both have things to get past but are great for each other. This is a very captivating story that sucks you in and keeps you there until the very end.
She has built a wall around her and it makes men want her but she gains a stalker but it is men like him that she is hiding herself from. One man wants to show her how to be free, although he has a secret. Does he really want her? Could it work? See if they can make a couple

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really liked it. I believe it is an add on to a series. Having enjoyed reading it, I will have to give the whole series a go.

This book was a bit of a whirlwind. Colette isn't one of the quints, but the whole family has a way of bringing people who are important to them into the fold, and just making them family. That's exactly what happened to Colette, and in this book we got to get to know her better. We also got to hear more about Adam's good friend Devon. I didn't expect them together. Part of me expected Colette to end up with Colton, although part of me knew that that was too easy, and that they both needed more of a story. This was not what I expected at all. Their relationship progressed a little too quickly for me, but Jody Kaye makes it work.
Well writing interesting and kept my interest through the whole book. The characters and the storyline were great. I received it from booksprout and voluntarily left my review.
Colette is a great addition to the Kingsbrier quintuplets series.
Thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the main two characters in this, Colette Newhouse and Devon Walsh.
Their love story is funny sweet and more importantly feels real.
The only reason this is a 4 star. Not a 5. Is because I feel it’s a side story to the Kingsbrier Quintuplets series, rather than part of the main series, as neither of the two main characters are quints. However it fits in beautifully and enhances the overall series.
