They always say that the eyes are the windows to the soul; transparent, and unable to lie. What happens when those eyes reveal a broken soul? Eyes that are made of glass that reveal a neglected heart?
Drusilla- a woman who wears her heart on her sleeve, a woman whose eyes are always...sad, is forced into a life that she never wanted to be her own. Her Italian father forces her to marry a man who is feared in the underworld- a man who is incapable of loving, and a man who finds pleasure in breaking every human being that he comes across.
There's not much to say about me, I'm not quite as interesting as my characters. I'm the kind of girl who prefers to live through their imagination- forever on the outside, looking into the world that I have so perfectly created but will never be a part of.
This had so much potential from being a ménage de trois to being like a battle for who would get the girl while still being the dark toxic romance that I love. But the was just circles or nothing actually happening. Like I don’t see why he all of a sudden found her interesting there was no real interaction between them at all. It could have been average or even good but the author did not really have the patience to flesh it out. Which is disappointing.
I'm liking this new author to me so far, but she tend to repeat the same formula in all the stories I read so far, it can become boring (I'm still not bored). This one is my least favorite, too short, she didn't explore the cheating episode at all, which bring to my main complain about her, her FMCs are too spineless

Ansa the author is so disturbed and the formula is horror side of the “dark romance” - no romance just craziness-you will be triggered do not go into their stories lightly
. And yet I will read the collection.
This one was my least fave as I thought it was too short and didn’t really explain what was going on.
Wow this was some read! Didn't expect the way Drusilla story would go. I thought that it would be a love triangle kind of read but I'm thankful that it didn't came to that. It definitely was an intense read this author is definitely becoming one of my favorites to read.
