She’s in town to find herself, not lose her heart to a single dad.

All Kayla Jones is good at is work. So, when her friend talks her into taking a solo vacation in a beach town, work remains her foremost thought, and she rear-ends a stranger’s truck while on a business call. Having a nervous breakdown in front of the handsome driver wasn’t part of the plan—neither was getting her Airbnb reservations messed up.

After his wife walked away from their family, single father Tucker Boudreau’s priority is taking care of his son, even if it means running a daycare. When his neighbor asks him to host an overflow guest, Tucker isn’t prepared to fall in love with the beautiful tourist—yet from their first encounter, he feels an irresistible connection with Kayla.

But even though she seems to reciprocate his feelings, she’s never been around kids, and his puppy terrifies her. So what happens when they realize they can’t be apart, especially when her vacation ends and she gets a promising call that could heighten her career?

Fast, happy romance…

Beach romance in this great read that takes place in a whirlwind story. It is cute, fast paced, and slightly unrealistic, but sometimes that is exactly what you need for a “beach read”.

Hmmm… their meeting was nothing but awkward, that is if you call a fender bender and a panic attack awkward. But then when Kayla learns her room in the B&B is not available, things just might get a little more awkward.

Tucker and Kayla’s story is sweet, not full of angst but definitely one of opposites attract. It’s not easy for a workaholic to be suddenly thrust into a scene of children, a rambunctious puppy and a little boy named Ace who steals her heart. Tucker definitely is a family man and as Kayla finds out, a man who has shielded a lot of hurt. But, he’s also a man whose family has been there to support him.

Kayla’s parents were distant …. all work and no play type of parents. So her burying herself in her job was all she knew. When Tucker invites her to church and she hears the pastor using Luke 4: 42-44 to talk about priorities, she couldn’t help but reflect on her own life. As the book points out, “When was the last time she trusted God to take care of her? Didn’t God help those who helped themselves? Didn’t that mean burning the midnight candle? She squirmed beneath the sudden weight on her chest as the pastor talked about Jesus’s prayer life and ministry,”

Yes, Kayla had a lot to learn, especially about herself. And Tucker had to emotionally deal with abandonment insecurities from his ex. And, they had to face some hard truths. This budding relationship was new, they only had known each other a short time. Can love really exist without having time to truly know each other? Were they allowing their own form of loneliness control them?

As they struggle to find answers, they realize they are meant to be and that their meeting was no accident at all. It was planned way ahead of time… God’s ways are not our ways and He knows the end from the beginning.

I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving my personal thoughts and opinions.

A workaholic city lady is forced to take a holiday in a small town B&B...then she rear ends a guy while distracted by a phone call - thankfully he seems more concerned about her than her car and helps her get to a Doctor who tells her she needs to reduce the stress in her life or her panic attacks will worsen. Kayla then finds out her accommodation is unfortunately double booked so she is offered a place in the home next door...with the guy she ran into. Sure the room is bigger with an amazing view... but the single Dad runs a daycare in his home and has a dog which she does not appreciate! However the slower pace of the town, going back to church and reconnecting with God - not to mention the genuine friendships, slowly make her reassess her life. Tucker was devastated when his wife left him and their son and never wants to get married again and knows that Kayla is only here for a few weeks before she too will leave them. Both have trust issues they need to work through - but realise this will only happen with Gods help.

I liked that this story had a single dad, Tucker, running a daycare out of his home since his wife left him a few years ago. He wanted to be there for his  three year old son, Ace.  It was fun to learn how he ended up hosting his neighbor's Airbnb guest when she had over booked her rooms.  I also liked how religious Tucker was and that he had a  cute puppy that Kayla was not too fond of when she first arrived.I liked Kayla, a workaholic who was sent on a much needed vacation from her stressful job.  She was supposed to be finding herself.I thought it was interesting how Kayla first met Tucker.  It was such fun watching the sparks between them fly and to see how the story would eventually end.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Tucker is doing his best to be a good dad to Ace. When Kayla comes for a vacation, and ends up staying in Tucker's house because of a booking problem at the house next door, Kayla learns that what she thought she wanted is NOT what she wants! Tucker finds out that he's falling for a workaholic who doesn't want to stay in Chapel Cove, and who doesn't really like kids. That is, that's the first impression. The more they spend time together, Kayla and Tucker find out that what they "thought" is NOT what really is!! I LOVED this book!!!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.

I had not read any of the other books in the Chapel Cove series. (Now, I want to do so.) I really enjoy reading books by Rose Fresquez though. I was delighted by this story. Kayla and Tucker were genuine and I felt deeply interested in them finding a happy end together. This was a wonderful book. Christian values, a belief I treasure. I enjoyed reading the journey they each took to come together and find a way to make a future believable. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants a beautiful clean romance.

Always Satisfying

Wow! Ms. Fresquez is so very talented. Her stories have so much heart and sweet passion. When needing a break from her fast-paced job, Kayla booked an AirBnb in tiny Chapel Cove. Unfortunately, her hostess overbooked and she ended having to stay with single dad Tucker. On her way into Chapel Cove she met Tucker by running into his truck. They fell in love just as hard. This story is so enjoyable on so many levels. Kayla is only in town for two weeks and the angst of their pending separation is palatable. Lovely God filled story!

Trust. That was what Kayla learned a lot about in this book. Her vacation was the opposite of what she had planned, but it was exactly what God had planned for her. Both learned important lessons in this story. If I could pick one line that sums up the whole story, it would be this one:
"Their marriage was beyond logic—a marriage built on faith, trust, and love for one another."
Very well done!

Workaholic Kayla Joes has to take a break before the anxiety destroys her health so she goes to Chapel Cove for two weeks. The Air B&B she reserved is overbooked so she stays next door with single Dad, Tucker Boudreau who runs a day care in his home so he can be with his young son. The plot of this uplifting book features choices and priorities, plus putting God first. A great addition to this heartwarming series.

I listened to this audio book. It was very entertaining.

I loved the story of Kayla Jones and Tucker Boudreau. Kayla was a workaholic and did not have much family life with her parents although her grandmother had a huge impact on her life. Tucker had wonderful parents. He was divorced with an adopted son.

The romance in this book was very sweet and clean. This was my first book read by this author.

Loved it

Another great story of love, family, friendship by Rose
All her stories make your heat feel good
Kayla had to learn to love and let go work which she wasn’t happy doing
Tucker had to learn to let love in his heart again
With the help of his son Ace and loving family they both found their HEA
Great job Rose
I have read one of stories that I have not enjoyed and learned something from them

Trust Me is one of the sweetest love stories I’ve read in a long time.
Tucker is a great dad, perfect for Kayla in every way. With his three year old son Ace he brings a closeness of family to Kayla’s life she never had with her parents. I loved every character in the book, but Ace stole the show.

Cute......

This was cute. This was the longest two weeks I have seen in a long time. Sometimes you wrote as the time had moved on, then they would say something that says its only been three days. You wrote a whole book about two weeks. I love Ace. Can't take away from the story, it was okay.

This is the first story I have read in this series and I genuinely enjoyed it. The characters are very likeable and interesting; I loved the fact that when the father's son is mentioned in the book; he really had a part of the story. Very enjoyable and captivating all the way through the story.

Charming story!

A sweet and warm story stressing God's providence and guidance in the care of His creation. I enjoyed this message that God governs all things, even love between two people. Although I was entertained by the story, it did not have the grace that I'm accustomed with the author's writing.

Refreshing Story

I loved this book. So refreshing reading a book without profanity and too many sex senses. MS Fresquez you did an amazing job. One of my favorite scriptures is Psalms 103, you used it beautifully.

Sweet story about two workaholics trying to find balance in their lives. The pastor that spoke about priorities had it right, what we spend our time on is important to God. Loved to see them put God and family first.
