This book was published as part of the "Bad News Ballet" series in the U.S.

I read this book as a kid in the early 90s and it stuck with me for years. Rereading it again was a fun flashback for me. The story held up to my memory of it surprisingly well.

"Camp Clodhopper" celebrates the triumph of the underdogs at their rundown art camp over their privileged counterparts, the snooty, stuck-up Bunheads and their fancy summer camp across the lake. It harkens back to a time before cell phones and the internet, when you made friends at camp and sent each other letters (and made the occasional collect call) to keep in touch.
