I’ve only just recently started reading this author’s books and have probably read them out of order so far…but never mind😁 I was wondering how this book was going to go considering the main character doesn’t talk🤔 But rest assured it was a great story…I loved how the story touches on the taboo nature of a lawyer and their client and Mouth’s story was sad and realistic enough to be believable🥹
Another one down and now to try navigate where to go next❣️
Loved Finley and Jude (Mouth)! These two are complete opposites, Finley is an attorney and fights for her clients and Mouth, well we’ll call him a vigilante exacting justice on men who think trafficking women and children is appropriate. Finley and Mouth meet when he’s taken into custody on suspicion of murder and the fact he doesn’t speak isn’t going to make her job any easier. There is something about him that pulls her to him, he’s different than any one she’s met before. Finley doesn’t pity him, and sees him for more than he believes he is and that’s giving him hope that he can have what the others have, love, family and a home. These two were amazing to read, sexy, steamy. I really enjoyed this book.
I could not stop reading about Jude (Mouth) and Finley, I just love them both! Out of all three of these guys stories, Mouth’s is the one that really plays on the emotions! After everything that has happened to him, it was amazing to be able to see him get something positive! Finley is just a bada$$ woman and she was so perfect for Mouth. These two make each other so much better. It’s sad that this is end, I don’t want to say goodbye to this bunch of guys 😒
What an ending to this series! Mouth is in New York to take care of some business and is arrested. Finley is the lawyer assigned to his case. Despite the legal association, the personal connection becomes more than they both bargained for. Mouth's story is such an emotional one and Finley is perfect for him. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
Clean Slate is a gripping, emotional ride that blends military suspense with raw vulnerability and second chances. Gwyn McNamee crafts a powerful tale of redemption as “Mouth”—once known for his quick wit—faces a new reality shaped by pain and silence. With danger closing in and love on the line, this stand-alone delivers action, heart, and healing in equal measure. A standout in the Scarred Heroes series and a must-read for fans of damaged heroes with fierce hearts.
I loved Mouth! I never guessed what had happened to him, or really there was anything wrong until the first time he talked. I loved that Finley was it for him. I couldn’t read fast enough even though I didn’t want it to end. I loved these scarred heroes. They formed a family together. These books were steamy! Finley’s job was interesting. It brought them together. I loved this one!
Jude/Mouth and Finley's story was amazing! He gets in trouble, and Finley is assigned to his case, and so it begins! Mouth needed Finley in his life to heal the broken past that kept him from real happiness. I loved seeing the return of characters as well! This has been a fantastic series, and each book has hooked me from beginning to end!
I found this to be a good story with Finley and Mouth. A glimpse into a little bit of the way the criminal justice system works really added to the story. Little things like that can really build a character, or can sometimes take away, and in this case it worked really well. Finley and Mouth were really hot together. I felt that this was a good way to close this series.
A very emotional read! I know I know what? Emotions and Gwyn but yes the queen of mafia and all things twisted really twisted my heart with this story!!
Finley and Mouth have a very unconventional not meet cute! Mouth is unlike any hero Gwyn has written before because his demons are demons that alone he can’t slay! He’s a man who has always been on top of his game but now hes so unsure of himself and of the world around him! Mouth and Finley have to have a level of trust that quickly helps them build into more, but who Mouth is might not be the person Finley can love!
Gah a very beautiful final book in this series! I love the tie in to some of my old faves as well as meeting some possible new faves….!
All the feels for Mouth and Finley. Their story has touched me deeply. I think I like this story best with Reaper & Chaos tied for second place. I would totally recommend this series to everyone.
Well I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Love both mouth and Finley and enjoyed their journey. She was a real firecracker and his stare and lifted eyebrows spoke volumes. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I like the idea of Mouth - a good guy criminal getting rid of bad guy criminals, but I just didn't feel the chemistry between the two characters. The storyline seemed to take off in the beginning, but then fizzled out.
Great book. Books 1 and 2 gave me no idea of the struggles Jade (Mouth) in book 3 has been dealing with for the last 4 years. So glad he found Lindley.
