Not what I thought it would be, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Actually contained a lot of information about plants, how flowers grow, etc. Has some personality quizzes, what certain flowers represent, and some crafts. Lovely illustrations. No source notes, and a minor misspelling of a Mexican holiday which seems trivial but... annoyed me. Not sure I can booktalk it to a class, but I can handsell it for sure.
This is a great introduction to floriography that also includes information about flowers themselves and has ideas for craft projects to do with flowers. It's not fully illustrated, but the spot illustrations are colorful and informative. I might have like to have some real photographs of flowers, but the illustrations are pretty accurate and are fun.
This is a little treasure of a book with the history, science and use of many, many flowers. Cute illustrations too. While I reneged for children, this adult enjoyed reading this little book.
