Mari's strength is in writing about Celtic traditions, that hold true in her guide to Lammas, or Lughansa for Wiccan and Druid tradition. The introductory chapters of the guide give a summary of Celtic, Wiccan, and Druid traditions. The middle chapter are about the deities, rituals, and traditions in both Ancient and Modern world associated with Lammas. This is a great addition to my mystical library for the Sabbaths of the Year Wheel.

As a witchy woo, I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and as a mythology scholar I enjoyed far more. It's an interesting look as the past and it's evolution. A reminder that these practices come from a real and living and vibrant people with their own culture. It doesn't condemn the new or old. It collerates the relationships and presents you with an informed opportunity to create your own worship as best suits you. I would love a works cited page. Fantastic read.
