Sweet Christmas romance. Check. Matchmaking Santa and Mrs. Claus. Check, check. Two lonely hearts. Check, check, check!
She’s a country girl living in the heart of the city. He’s an ex-SEAL teaching kindergarteners.
Sadie McCluskey loved the holidays until she lost her parents in a car accident at sixteen, then her ex-husband left her a week before Christmas. She’s content spending the holidays working her urban farm until Hank Dabrowski walks into her life. Now, all she wants is to get Hank under the mistletoe.
Hank needed a change after ten years as a SEAL. When he breaks his engagement, he leaves his hometown of Angel Falls, Vermont, and moves to Snowside to teach kindergarteners. Burned, but not broken, Hank still believes in true love, especially after Sadie gives his kids a tour of her farm. Watching her share her joy of farming with them ignites a spark deep inside him. But can he convince her he’s the Christmas gift she’s been longing for?
Jody and Nick Claws arrive on Sadie’s doorstep in matching red and green plaid flannel shirts, the spitting image of that other jolly yuletide couple. Can these holiday matchmakers work their Christmas magic to help two reluctant hearts find their happily ever after?
Nothing kicks off the holidays like a pair of lonely hearts in need of Christmas magic, so grab your copy today.
Under the name K.T. Coatney, I write fast-paced suspense featuring the elite agents of FIRE—Federal Investigations and Reconnaissance Enforcement—where danger is real, the stakes are high, and love is the last line of defense.
As Kathy Coatney, I bring that same passion for storytelling to deeply emotional, small-town contemporary romance. My novels explore themes of love, community, and the agricultural roots that have shaped my life. Some readers may remember me as Kate Curran, but these days, all my books are published under the Coatney name.
I’m also the author of the nonfiction children’s series From the Farm to the Table and Dad’s Girls, celebrating the journey from farm to fork.

I liked that this story put me in the Christmas spirit. The book was full of love, hope, famly, romance, and a little bit of Christmas past. It was so much fun to see Nick and Jody Claws return to Snowside, Vermont and to wonder who they were going to play matchmaker with next. The Christmas activities at the farm sounded like a lot of fun. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
A perfect holiday romance! Sadie and Hank's story grabbed me from the very first page. What an engaging couple, and I rooted for them the whole way. And what a wonderful surprise to see all the Snowside characters, especially Jody and Nick Claws! Do yourself a favor and pick up Jingle All the Way to Snowside for the holidays!
I like that the story put me in the Christmas sprite. Th e book was full of love, hope, family, romance, and a little bit of Christmas past. It was so much fun to see Nick and Judy Claws return to Snowside, Vermont and to wonder who they were going to play matchmaker with next. The Christmas activities at the farm sounded like alot of fun. I would highly recommend the book to read.
Dropped at 55%- I was already bored with the back and forth between the main couple and not all that interested in either of them at 25% but tried to push through. I don’t care much for the writing style or Nick and Jody either. I’m glad others enjoyed it, it just wasn’t for me.
Also, the charity name keeps flip flopping between “Jobs Hunters” and “Job Hunters” in the beginning.
Quick little read with relatable and adorable characters. Without giving any spoilers, this book will melt your heart, and make sure you aren't a Grinch. Highly recommend door a good read with a warm drink on a cold night. Loved this one
I just finished this book. I won this from Goodreads. I loved reading it very much as it was very different. About a couple liking to arguing but in the end they do finally get together with some very good help. They found the love that they both needed and wanted.
This book didn’t put me in the Christmas mood. I really had no feeling about the characters one way or the other. The story seemed more intent telling people about sustainable living and providing access than telling a romantic story.
This is a nice Christmas romance in small town Vermont. Behind the scenes Angel scare working to bring a couple together. Meanwhile they are also improving the community. Its a good sweet story.
Very cute romance book. Dancing around each other, trying to get over past hurts without getting hurt again. Lots of fantasy making this book cute and sweet. Feel good book.
I loved all of the story. The people the pets. Everyone in the book. Written beautifully I didnt want.to put it down. Albeit I 💘LOVE christmas.stories and if peop!e like Cathy keep writing them count me IN.
This book was really good. A happy ending as always, but a good Christmas twist to those who still believe in Santa and the magic of Christmas. You need to keep the faith and trust your gut.
Sadie McCluskey came to the Snowside, Vermont, and is farming a rented property after her divorce from her cheating husband. The divorce didn’t bother her as much as the words he threw at her. Now she doesn’t trust men. Hank is an ex-SEAL needing a change after being in for so long. When he breaks his engagement from the woman that became a realtor and tried to cheat his mother out of her business that has been in the family for generations, he moves from Angel Falls to Snowside. He plans on teaching and after trying different age groups, he settled on kindergarteners. After what happened with his ex, he confronts Sadie about trying to cheat his uncle by trying to buy his land way less that what it is worth. This has set them at odds for sure. Will Jody and Nick Claws be able to work a miracle and get these two a happy holiday with their magic before Christmas Eve when they have to leave?
While basically a cute story, there were things about it that irritated me. First, this is part of a series that needs to be read in order, and this is #2. Many characters and details are mystifying since I did not read Book #1. Second, the book is ostensibly set in Vermont, but the city is a majir urban one. Vermont's capitol has population of less than 16,000 and Burlington, its biggest city, has about 44,000 people. A bed-and-breakfast with a restaurant that serves cocktails at dinner and has a dance floor is also absurd. There are simple corrections: just do not set the book in a named state and put the characters in a resort, not a b-&-b. I dislike this kind of sloppiness in a book. Each gross error pulls me rudely out of the fantasy world of the story so I cannot enjoy it.
Sadie McCluskey was hurt by her first marriage and does not want to go through that again. She and Hank Dabrowski do not like each other when they first meet as he thinks she's trying to get his uncle to sell her the farm at a price way below its worth. That is not the truth and he finally sees the truth. They become a couple but she holds back on getting involved. She writes him a letter telling him what her husband did to her. This is her Christmas present to him. Then he gets on his knees and asks her to marry him and gives her a ring. She knew he was nothing like Luke and she could trust Hank.
Another delightful book by the talented Kathy Coatney. Jody and Nick Claws take on Sadie and Hank as their Christmas matchmaking project. Sadie and Hank are at odds from the moment they meet due to a misunderstanding on Hank's part. Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, they realize they are attracted to each other. Getting past the initial animosity is only half the battle because they have both been hurt before. With Jody and Nick determined to see they have an HEA, Sadie and Hank are no match for the Claws' Christmas magic. I urge you to read all books by this author.
Simplistic and predictable plot but the setting with an urban farm and preschool in town is more genuine than all those inherited “cute but rundown” bookstores, bakeries, seaside cottages and the like that abound recent books of this genre. Plus, there was not that school sweetheart girl/boy left behind or gone away and the relation rekindled after ten years. Or the one-night stand who happens to be the new billionaire boss. Just that merits a few stars. The inclusion of the scheming couple - Nick and Jody - was also pretty original.
Hank was a Navy SEAL, but now teaches kindergarten. Sadie runs a local farm. They start off as enemies since Hank's convinced that Sadie is trying to con his uncle out of the farm property, but gradually become friends when the misunderstanding is resolved. An older couple with a passing resemblance to a certain North Pole pair arrive to help both Hank and Sadie, and to apparently do some matchmaking. A cute Christmas romance with a HEA ending.
Enjoying book and the unique theme however, the h became “boring”, “too negative” about halfway through it got old. It did end with a HEA but not reading any others from series. I’m afraid the author would do the same in other books.
