"Forbidden fruit is the sweetest, don't you think?"

MERCY

He calls me his good girl.

I call him Daddy.

He says good girls get rewarded, and Dr. Liam Lexington never disappoints. Every touch sends a shiver down my spine, every word makes me fall to his feet.

I’ll do anything to please him, to hear his praise. What about what I want, though? Can he give me everything I need?

LIAM

She’s off limits, but that’s not stopping me.

In the field of medicine, rarely do you have control. Which is why in the bedroom I demand it. Mercy Madison is mine, and if she’s a good girl, she’ll have everything she’s ever wanted.

But, little girls rarely know what’s best. I’ll protect her from other men. I’ll protect her from my own son. But, how in this world can I protect her from herself? What if I’m not enough?

I hate talking about myself. I'm awkward AF and write super spicy books with twisty plots. Most of my books are dark romance so always check the content warnings!

4/5 I loved this so much.

TROPES:

~age gap
~forbidden love
~best friend's dad

Y'all, I ate this book up. This is my first read by Chelle Rose and it definitely won't be my last!

When Mercy was 16, she fell for her best friend's dad, Liam. She didn't see him for 7 years and now, at 23, she's determined to garner his attention. She's very fierce and knows what she wants: him. Liam on the other hand, doesn't want to risk his or her relationship with his son (h's best friend). He's very push-and-pull-y, which I wasn't a fan of.

But y'all, the spice in this book was INCREDIBLE! There's major daddy kink in it, so if that's not your thing, just be aware. Liam is rough and dirty as hell, I loved that about him!!

Also, there's a major trigger- cancer. It's the theme throughout the book, so please protect your mental health if that triggers you!

All in all- fantastic novel, I can't wait to read the rest of the series, and the spice was all kinds of spicy. This author is amazing and her writing style is so unique!

SAFETY:
Ages: 23h, 40H
Virgin/celibate: virgin heroine, bit of a manwhore hero
OM/OW drama: slight OM
Cheating/sharing: none
Triggers: kidnapping, violence, cancer, death
Kinks: daddy kink, hand necklace, spanking, degradation, praise, anal
HEA?: cliffhanger! <3

If you are in need of a heartfelt, deep, emotional, and sexy book look no further than here! Liam is a hot 41 year old child oncologist who spends his days saving children from cancer and when he’s not doing that he is trying to be a good dad to his son Nash. He lost his wife to cancer and several family members so he knows the pain and suffering that goes along with this horrible disease. One night when he is out at the bar he sees the most beautiful woman who takes his breathe away. He can’t stop thinking about and he’s having emotions he hasn’t felt since his wife. When his son asks to have some friends over for the long weekend Liam agrees but when he walks into his bathroom and sees the drop dead gorgeous woman from the bar in his bathroom he loses his mind. He had no idea that she is Mercy his sons best friend since they were teenagers. She looks nothing like when he last saw her but he can’t stop the pull and need to dominate her and have him call her daddy! He knows it’s wrong but he isn’t the only one feeling this way!

Mercy has been in love with Dr. Liam Lexington since she met him while he was trying to save her sister from cancer. She knows he’s Nash’s dad but he is everything she has ever wanted. Now that she is in his home for the weekend she can’t stop herself from pursuing him. She has waited for him all her life and she refused to let him push her away. Mercy pursues him with desire and need unlike anything she has ever felt. She is also excited to begin her new job as a social worker at his hospital. She hopes that he can see her as more than his son’s best friend. She is determined to make him hers!

They have along hard road ahead of them if they are going to make this work but the love and devotions they have for each other is beyond comprehension. They are amazing together and the way they love is so deep and emotional it jumps off the page. Their commitment to their favorite patient Ivy is also so heartwarming and every time they are with that sweet girl your heart will melt!

They also have to deal with Nash who is now struggling with his own demons as well as finding out that they are together. Things get scary and dangerous! Warning: this book ends on a huge cliffhanger so be prepared!! Happy Reading!!!

Mercy and Liam's story is was sweet at times, but had such sad moments at other times. This couple is not traditional in the sense of their age gap and their connections through Nash, Liam's son. These characters all have drama and tragedy in their past, and that contributed to their connection and understanding of each other.
At times I was annoyed with the push and pull of their relationship, the happiness which then turns into pushing each other away, it was somewhat frustrating. But that ending, I could not believe this was happening when things between them finally started to mesh and grow.
I need more of this story!

Mercy is a taboo, best friend’s dad romance.
Mercy is a caring, sweet, young woman. She has been in love with her best friend’s dad for a long time. He is off limits because of Nash being her bestie and because she works with Dr. Liam Lexington. But Mercy is finished with admiring him from afar, and wants to lose her virginity to him.
Dr. Liam Lexington is not looking for love. He is a one night kind of man and he likes it rough! He is successful and driven and hot! He knows Mercy is off limits. She’s too young, his son’s best friend and they work together. But he can’t deny the attraction and white hot chemistry that is between them.
Mercy is determined to have Liam, even if for one night. But for both of them, one night isn’t enough. Liam fights the attraction and shuts Mercy out. But their bond and chemistry is too powerful. And so begins their relationship. They are strong together and their love for each other continues to grow. I am loving their dynamic they have together and when he calls her baby girl it sends flutters through your system.
Mercy is a powerful love story, with many emotional ups and downs. There are many surprising plot twists that keep you reading on and your emotions run high when reading this page turner. The characters are complex and interesting, and the side characters are important to the storyline.
Mercy ends of on a crazy, exciting cliffhanger that leaves you anxiously awaiting the next book!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this book. Mercy is such a gripping read, you will be sucked in and finished before you know it. Mercy has been in love with Dr. Liam Lexington since she was 15 years old. But he's always been off limits because he's twice her age and she's best friends with his son Nash. But Mercy finally decides she is going to change that. After what was supposed to be a one and done, Liam can't seem to get her out of his head, or heart for that matter. But Liam finally decides to take the chance because being away from Mercy is way worse than the consequences of being with her. These two are a power house couple. They definitely have some struggles and hurdles, but they only come out stronger in my opinion. I'm not a fan of a girl calling a guy "Daddy", but it was so hot in this book. And Liam calling her Baby Girl, swoon. I also fell in love with Ivy. I loved Ivy so much and how Liam and Mercy were so amazing with her. But something major happens at the end and the book leaves us with a huge cliffhanger. I have never been so sad for a book to end, and I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive not knowing the outcome until Finding Mercy comes out. You better believe I'll be counting down the days until Nov 15th lol.

✨ARC REVIEW✨
This was my first book written by Chelle Rose and omg!!!! I was hooked from the beginning, this story is incredible!
This a is best friends dad, forbidden, age gap that’s filled with spice, 🐝dsm, romance, heartbreak, pain and so much love!
The story of Mercy and Liam is one that will have you swooning, crying/sobbing and smiling. Its a rollercoaster, like seriously be prepared to smile til your cheeks hurt and then cry your eyes out.
I love their relationship with little Ivy, that little girl deserves so much more and I’m so glad she has the both of them in her life. She’s so strong and even though she’s suffering in hospital, she’s still filled with joy. I can’t wait to see more of her in this series.
I wanted to like Nash but I realised how entitled he was. He needs serious help as he’s incredibly destructive and will hurt anyone. He can’t ever take no for an answer and loves to control, guilt trip and hurt others.
The plot twists had my head spinning and my heart beating out of my chest. The cliffhanger made me feel sick to my stomach, I’m so heartbroken. The pain I’m feeling right now is overwhelming. I need to know what happens next, I need answers, I need to know that they’re okay!!! 😥

(ARC REVIEW)
Ms. Rose this book was very unexpected for me. I filled the arc form out solely based on the cover and oh am I glad I did. While reading this book I literally felt every single emotion. When I finished the book my heart was still beating fast and I really had no words so please know this is a review with just random words. Mercy was simply amazing with a kind heart and trust me you will fall in love with her. This girl truly had a heart of gold. Liam being her best friend's father was the man she desired. This man drove me insane while he was great Dr he was clueless when it came to Mercy. While I did love him there were still times I wanted to smack him. Now that twist was not what I expected and not was that ending which is a cliffhanger. Even though this is a duet and Im waiting for book two I still ended up with a book hangover. Please look over the trigger warnings before reading this.

4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Overall I really enjoyed this read. I read it in less than a day.
Some things I loved:
*All the spicy
*All the dirty talk
*Seeing how Liam changed throughout
*The plot is good and so sweet 🥰
*How confident Mercy tried to be
*Age-gap
*Liam & Mercy's want and need for each other
*I loved how Mercy is a perfect fit for Liam 😉

Some things I did not like/care for:
*The back and forth from Mercy
*Some parts seemed skipped or rushed
*Noah😒

I gave this a 4 star mainly because I felt like parts were skipped or rushed and something else... I just can't seem to put my finger on it or really explain it.
I did really enjoy this book and thought it was really good, but come on... That ending!! Ahhh

Oh my days I was actually lost for words when I finished this, I need book 2 right now!!!
When I first started reading I didn’t think I would like mercy but she soon won me over. I can’t blame her for setting her sights on Liam because my gosh that man is 🔥.
Liam is mercy’s best friends dad and she has loved him for years. There’s more to mercy than her flirty side that we first meet. She is so sweet and caring. Despite the age gap these two work well together( most the time). Liam is rough and full of dirty talk ( oh my god the dirty talk 🥵) but he is so loving sweet and caring with his patients.
I had tears in my eyes at the cliffhanger ending, it was a twist I wasn’t expecting and had me shouting at my kindle. I need book two like yesterday.

OMG this book was so good! Best Friend's Dad romance.

Mercy is a gorgeous, smart woman. She has wanted her best friend's dad for a long time and she is willing to do anything to have him! She is sweet and caring. But life throws her so many curve balls. But she is so strong and always finds ways to deal with everything.

Liam is a sexy older man. He is an pediatric oncologist and he is good at his job. He knows he shouldn't fall for his son's friend but she is so gorgeous and caring. She makes it impossible for him to stay away from her. He thinks that is will only be a short term thing. But what will he do when life starts throwing those curve balls?

The smut in this book is so HOT!!!

Please read triggers before reading! And this book does end on a cliff hanger!

Talk about steamy and naughty! This book was a page turner and one I couldn't put down. Mercy really went after what she she wanted despite being a virgin as well as it being her best friend's dad. I enjoyed Liam turning from someone who felt like they would never love someone to falling in love. It ended with a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book!! I will definitely be reading book 2! Great job!

The premise of this book was awesome - a smart, educated, sassy heroine falls in love with her best friend's dad who's a dominating, successful doctor. Unfortunately life throws a few kinks into their plans of falling in love...

I felt like the book was rushed in a few parts and Mercy seemed to go back and forth on whether she really wanted to be with Liam. Overall, I liked the book and can't wait to see where the next book takes Mercy and Liam!

This book is EMOTIONAL. I mean it dude. It will have you crying your eyes out. Mercy is a strong willed and wonderful woman that wants to work with children as a social worker in the hospital. She’s obsessed with her best friends dad. This book took me on such a rollercoaster of emotions and I am honestly not sure how I am supposed to read anything after it. Chelle, girl, you know how to write a book. I cannot wait to have hard copies on my shelf!!

This is one for the record books. Mercy is a sensual, loving, emotional person that falls for her best friends dad. I laughed, I cried a lot, I wanted to scream at Liam... but oh my gosh the steam is off the pages. Mercy is a strong willed young woman who can't help but fall in love with the dad of her best friend. Liam is an a** sometimes but lord he is hot! You will not be able to put this age gap down, it's so good. Congratulations Chelle, it's the best I've read from you yet!

I love the praise kink, it's hot as is this book. The sexy times were amazing. Mercy and Liam are so cute together. These two are the exact definition of a power couple. It has some dark elements and it's taboo. The age gap is what I was sold on. I rarely read blurbs but this one caught my eye and so did the cover.

TITLE: Mercy
GENRE: Dark Romance
AUTHOR: Chelle Rose
TROPE: Kidnapping, Daddy/Praise K1nk
TYPE: Series (Forbidden Desires of PCH)
POV: Dual POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

Mercy is a quick and spicy read. I enjoyed both Liam and Mercy's characters and their spicy chemistry together. Liam is a pediatric cancer doctor, and Mercy has just graduated from school to become a social worker at the hospital. There is an age gap and taboo trope with Liam being Mercy's best friend's dad.

Overall it was an enjoyable read that ends on a pretty big cliffhanger, but luckily, book two should be out in Oct or Nov. I am giving Mercy a rating of 4 / 5 Stars. I recommend reading the trigger warnings before starting Mercy if you are sensitive to any topics.

A roll coaster straight down hill

It started out great, but then so many different plot twists were happening it started to become eye roll worthy. If the author had of concentrated on the forbidden aspect and ivy, this would have been a five star read, but the drama with the dad, Nash, etc. Brought this book down fast. I won't go into too many details because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I will say it ends on a cliffhanger and I have no intention of reading the second one .

Wow, this story was incredible. I have never felt so many emotions when reading a book. Mercy and Liam are such amazing characters, they have so much growth and relationship development throughout the book. This book has it all, great characters, anticipation, emotion, and there is plenty of steam. I could not put this book down and stayed up all night to finish it. I look forward to book two. I highly recommend this book!

🔞 Serie: Forbidden Desires of PCH libro 1
✨Calificación: 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐
✨Protagonistas: Liam y Mercy
👁️ Puntos de vista de ambos protagonistas
👄Daddy kink
🔥 2.5/5

“Princesses. I never pictured you as a princess kind of guy. Have you ever read any of the smutty fairy tales, Liam? I have, and they always make me wet.”

Ivy, niña preciosa me encanta.

“I’m a smut slut, a total lover of the cliterature, what can I say?”
“Did you just say cliterature?”
I smile, “Why yes, I did, Dr. Lexington.”

I’m not sure how I felt about this book. I really enjoyed the story but was not fond of the telling of it. The timeline was weird. Some of the scenes seemed like they were cut short. For example, during sex scenes they would be in the middle of the act and then all of a sudden they’re laying next to each other, like sir did you even finish. Lol

The side plot with Nash was interesting & I am looking forward to finding out more about that. But the storyline with Mercy’s Dad seemed like it came out of nowhere & threw me off a bit.

My favorite part of the whole story was Ivy. She was pure perfection and I just wanted so much more of her.

Overall I will continue to read the series because the cliffhanger was bananas.

“We used to come back to Manhattan for the summers and I snuck to the city when I was fifteen to see a play, I wanted to see badly.”
Manhattan & The City is the same thing. It’s such a pet peeve of mine when a book is set in New York but you can tell the author doesn’t really know about New York.

Read this if you enjoy:
* novels intended for matures audiences 18+
* best friends dad romances
*sass, steam, and suspense

Meet the Author: Chelle Rose is an avid reader that loves romance. She started at the age of 5 writing song lyrics. After writing her first book she knew exactly where she belonged. Chelle currently resides in Virginia. Between her family and her writing, she stays super busy and loves every minute of it.

Synopsis: Mercy, a brand-new social worker on the oncology unit, has her eyes on one man. The man she has had her heart set on for seven years. Dr. Liam Lexington, a pediatric oncologist has his focus on a pediatric patient who has been diagnosed with cancer not once, but twice. He won’t let Ivy down despite all the heartache she has been through. When Mercy steps in and places her focus on Ivy as well, can Dr. Lexington keep his focus straight? Or will the lines become blurred?

Reader’s Thoughts: Chelle Rose’s goal of reminding us that there’s hope even in life’s darkest moment was well reflected in this novel. This is the first book I have read by Chelle Rose and WOW! I have added her to the top of my favorite author list. Out of the 80 books I have read to date this year, this was by far the best one. At first, I was skeptical when it said there was ridiculous amounts of sex within. But OMG! The storyline within this book was so much more than the sex. And the cliffhanger, WTH! There is no way I can wait for Finding Mercy to come out. Chelle Rose had me hooked the minute I picked up this book. There was not a dull moment throughout.

Favorite Quote: “I didn’t have experience falling in love with my son’s best friend, someone that he also loves. There’s no guidebook for that.”

Trigger Warnings: Kidnapping, Violence, Drug Use, Cancer (Adults and Children), and Death.

This book right here has me feeling all types of ways. Chelle Rose had me with her dedication. I thought I was signing up for a nice simple smut read and boy did she take me for a ride. I got my smut for sure but I got SO MUCH MORE. This book had it all honestly. It had smut, well developed characters, a crazy storyline and most importantly it was impossible to put down. This one is definitely an 18+ read with some trigger warnings.
Mercy is a 23 year old who has had a crush on her best friend's dad, Liam, since she was 16. Mercy is starting a job as a social worker in the hospital where he works and has developed a plan to make him want to sleep with her. The stars align and her best friend, Nash, has a pool party and it isn't long before Mercy enacts her plan. Of course Liam, is very much the male who has decided he will never fall in love and only has one night stands. However, he is unable to resist Mercy and the two soon embark on a relationship that had me sitting on the edge of my seat!
Told with a dual POV the novel starts out very heavy on the smut but soon becomes so much more with the introduction of Ivy. It is here that each character begins to show other sides to their personality. Chelle's characters are well rounded and easy to relate to. She writes this story so well that my major complaint is that I couldn't put it down. I NEEDED to know what was happening next. And boy does she give it to you: cancer, kidnapping, suspense and oh yeah you guessed it A MINDBLOWING cliffhanger. So don't mind me while I go cry because I now have to wait to find out what happens with Liam and Mercy... Go get your copy now. You won't regret it.

Y’all I couldn’t put this down to save my life! Mercy is such a gripping story full of a roller coaster of ups and downs. And the spice is *chefs kiss* This was my 1st book from this author and it 100% wont be my last.
It follows Dr Liam Lexington a 41 year old children’s cancer doctor, who id like to say has a damn amazing heart!! And Mercy a 23 year old social worker who is a little firecracker and also coincidently Liams son Nash’s childhood best friend. Mercy has wanted Liam since she was 16 and she doesn’t back frown from getting what she wants. It also helps that ever since he saw her working at the bar she’s been in his head too.
I don’t wanna give away anything because i feel like everyone should give this book a chance it’s very heartfelt and just an amazing read. Everything about the story is fantastic, the characters dynamic with each other, how relatable the story can be and especially the balance of story and plot at least for my taste lol. Also special mention to the precious little Ivy she’s just down right adorable<33. I will say this book ends on a kinda big cliffhanger so just be aware you’re immediately going to want to pick up the second book in the series Finding Mercy.
I’d definitely give this story a 5/5 stars for how good it was and a 4/5 on the spice scale it’s not super dark dark spice but it is a little kinky and there’s a lot of it which is always a good thing ;)

I was reading The Devil by Chelle Rose and came across some characters mentioned and my obsessive need to know about them drove me to read her previous work. I had a brief conversation with her about the reading order of her books. It was nice to chat with her and She said MERCY was a fan favorite and I definitely 💯 agree.

Dr. Liam Lexington or Dr. Delicious 😂 was paediatric oncologist. The man is ❤️🥵🔥💯 his love for mercy was filthily pure if that makes sense 😂

Mercy Madison 🌺✨🩷 a social worker. I loved her, she was a kind compassionate women with so much love. The way she loved Ivy 😭 my heart went out for that little girl.

Liam and Mercy ❤️🔥🥵😢🥹💔💋🌸 at times the story was so sweet and then devastating 😢💔 both had gone through so much and lost people they loved. They both were such strong characters.

And the side characters, they have their own books💙. My mind still can't comprehend that Nash has his own book and with whom. It'll be fun to read how it is after everything he did here 🫠🫠🫠 I hate him right now and Xander has a book too 😳.

It ended with a cliffhanger 🥲 off to read FINDING MERCY now !!!💜
