Growing Bulbs by Martyn Rix (Timber Press 1983) (635.0) is a rather sophisticated treatment of the evolution, cultivation, and propagation of hardy and tender bulbs. A thorough history of bulb collection by humanity as well as by region is included. It's a tad too technical to be light reading. My rating: 3.5/10, finished 4/15/11.
