Reflect: Haikus for Worship

Rate this book
To worship means to show reverence and/or adoration. These haikus are about God; his name, attributes, and what he does for us. These haikus were written to express adoration and reverence to our Creator. This collection primarily focuses on the names of God and attributes of God. The hope is that reading the poems in this collection may lead you to want to know more about who God is. Reflect will make a great addition to a daily devotional.

Book: The Stars Speak and Reflect
Author: Stephanie Mathews

What a breath of fresh air! Five stars. I will forever believe that it was God divined for me to have these books. I read two books in this category because they were very small books and I couldn't decide which one I wanted to read.

I had no idea Stephanie was an author, so when I saw these books advertised on another page, I immediately purchased both of them. I had begun to desire to read a poem for this category based on a suggestion from Stephanie, but she never mentioned she had written two poem books! The humility in that alone peaked my interest to read these books.

I haven't read a poem since I was a child, but I was very ready to read these books when I saw what they were about. One of the things I struggled with when redefining my relationship with Christ was letting go of the Zodiac. How refreshing to know and learn that the real zodiac actually tells the tale of our Lord! I did not know this and I will be researching this topic more!

The Haikus in both books were beautiful, well thought out, arranged and thought provoking. I had originally imagined that I would pass the books off to friends when I was done, but for now I will keep them as I plan to reread them by meditating on one Haiku each morning.

I am not a poetry lover, but maybe I could be. These little books stirred my emotions and made me want to reflect and meditate on His goodness. It was a powerful but sweet and sublte reminder that He is in all things and that we should slow down to meditate on His glory.

All in all, awesome job Stephanie, keep writing! I loved these books, and I highly recommend that everyone reads them!
