Westward Western Saga)

Red : A Classic Western Adventure

Rate this book
A classic western novel from Frank Wheeler with non-stop epic adventure and a blend of western romance

Ryleigh “Red” Rodriguez always knew she was different.
Mostly because people never let her forget it.

An Irish mother.
A Mexican father.
Red hair as ferocious as the sun.

They teased her. They taunted her. And in the end … they underestimated her. Especially Sheriff Max Frazier.
Max never expected Red to join his latest victim—Atticus Lawson—on making good on her promise.

Max’s home was on fire. The fire would keep going until it burned itself out and turned everything to ashes.

A little girl who belonged to one of his neighbors tugged his sleeve. “I saw a woman outside your house. She had red hair. And she left a body in the backyard,” she said in a tinny voice.

Max’s heart thumped twice. He felt the anger starting to build. A body? He took his deputies around back, expecting to find one of his men dead. Instead, he found a scarecrow with a note pinned to its chest.

Too bad you weren’t home. Maybe next time.
~ Red

Max is a monster hiding in sheep’s clothing.
Can Red reveal Max’s dark side, avenge the murder of her father, and save a community who doesn’t know they need saving?

Each novel in the series is a standalone western which can be read out of order.

“REDHEAD “

They called me Red when I was young, so I can relate, used to be a cowgirl when I was younger also but lot of differences between us..😂
I think Red deserves a review, she was a real kick a— my kind of cowgirl. Didn’t deserve all the crap they threw at her, after all you don’t have a say in who your parents are Glad to see her getting even & find some one who treats her like a woman instead of a dog.
Every time she got one it made my day.
Some of the books I will say got boring, repeats & all BUT it’s a freedom of speech world so if you don’t like what you are reading move on to another one there are plenty out there. All my reviews are not great but I try to be honest about them, I read A LOT, if I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t do it. I like 4 books reading all 36 of Frank Wheelers Western Saga series, if they didn’t have SOMETHING there I would have quit a long time ago so ease up guys and give a guy a break make room for the rest of us on this bus. What’s next after #36 Frank? Keep’em coming & the one’s of us who like’em will keep reading, okay 👌
I understand Badlands is just out. Is that the last one,#36 ?
See you next time around guys 👍

If your idea of an adventure is an uncountable number of gunfights with most of the bad guys being killed and the heroes and heroines having minor injuries, this is for you. There is very little character development because everyone is too busy killing. The heroes wear white hats, and the bad guys can only find black hats (to match their hearts). This book was neither realistic nor sustainable. By the end of the book, the death count would equal the entire population of a small town. Ridiculous.

When there are too many bad guy...

"Courage was not the absence of fear. It was facing a situation in spite of it." This is the stuff of heroes and heroines in impossible situations. If anything, there were too many bad guys, too few good people, and too many gullible people. The ending was very satisfying. Loved Atticus and Red's friend, whose courage never wavered even when she was afraid. If you like a good shoot'em up bang western then this one has your name written all over it.

Good story

Overall a good story but slightly unbelievable. Red was the best shot and April lucky. She must have killed fifty men and only got wounded once. Max had nine lives and always got away.

Its always a good idea to be careful and light around females with Red hair!!

The beginning seemed get a little drawn out but it had to all be said. The action was good and suspense was good, and overall I liked the book.

this book is page after page of shooting and death. much of the action was not believable in my opinion. i skipped many chapters to see if the ending was satisfactory.

Sentence construction at about an eight year old level. Totally unrealistic plot with too much bloodshed. I couldn't finish the book. I certainly can't recommend it.

Great actions

When I say great action, i have read a lot of books and this one keeps it rolling. Not a lot of detail just plain old fashioned shoot 'em up western action.
