A fire ignites in small-town Daybreak Falls when Davina gets too close to the truth...
As the police close their case files, Davina worries another killer still roams free. Visioning her way to the truth, she unravels a web of lies and crimes—starting with someone she never suspected.
But not everyone wants the truth revealed and a warning in the form of fire rages in Daybreak Falls.
As Davina's world burns, she sets off with Olivia on a sleuthing adventure to stop the madness, but can Davina solve the mystery before more blood spills?
This was good but not as hood as the previous two were. I can't believe what Raina did either. So random. I don't know where her romance is going with her two beaus. I like one more than the other but I don't know why. Olivia is still a hoot and so are her boys. Breydon is a saint. Bernadette is getting more likable and there are still things left undone. Not a cliffhanger but the future is up for grabs so to speak. I will continue to read the series for sure!
This is such a great series. Everything you thought you knew about certain characters from the first book is blown out of the water in this book. Holy revelations.
Davina and her best friend Olivia and all the other cast of characters are written so well that you love them like they are your friends and family. The story just flows effortlessly whether its as simple as fixing dinner or fighting evil.
A bonus I didnt even know was a bonus is the author incorporated characters from an earlier series into this book and I was so fascinated by them I cant wait to now go and read that series.
I really enjoyed the plot conclusion. The appearance of Kelsey & Co was a treat. I was also really happy to see Olivia acting more responsibly. She did a good job learning to maintain her focus.
What I didn’t like was the environment around Bernadette. I get that she is an abrasive and rude character. I get that she s mostly a vehicle to round out Davina’s talent and encourage its growth. But I kept seeing a lonely and frightened old woman trying to present a strong face. Since the first book where she attacked Davina we keep seeing her trying to insert herself into Davina’s life. She colors with Olivia’s boys. She tries to be part of the investigating business. She rushes to Davina’s side when she learns the most awful and horrendous news about her mother.
And Davina, Olivia, and Mrs. Paulson don’t notice. They have zero empathy for a woman tormented by her mother for more than forty years. An isolated widow who probably never had any social skills.(Still haven’t figured out where and how she found her husband.)
I know, I’m probably reading more than is there and over relating with a character. I’d still like to see her character brought into Davina’s world in a more accepting way.
This is the 3rd in the series and ties everything up about psychic Davina Ravine. Davina is trying to find her missing sister, Raina. Her sister has been missing for more then 15 years, but now Davina believes she is alive and is the one responsible for all the killings that have taken place over the years.
Now she is joined by her friend, Olivia who has started a Detective agency. Davina's grandmother, Bernadette, is trying to give Davina lessons in how to control her psychic abilities, because that is the only way she is going to find out if Raina is still alive.
In finding out the truth, all the danger shifts to Davina and her house is set on fire and her best friends lives are being threatened. Can Davina use her abilities to finally learn the truth about her family or will it wind up killing her!!
Don't miss this one. Action packed plus lovable characters make this a must read!
This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites and that says A LOT! Her writing is impeccable. It feels like I'm watching a TV show. She gives details that don't feel like a burden and the storyline is incredible. The twists and turns don't go from 0-100. It's gradual which makes the drama bearable. I'm starving for some romance in it though.
Davina is trying to find her horrible sister while still trying to deal with all of the small town drama and gossip. I loved Kelsey and saw she's a spinoff character of one of the author's other series so I'll definitely be reading those. Specifically because this author writes so well.
I cannot say enough about how well these books are written.
Well…it’s nothing like I expected but still a fast paced ride. I felt like the wrap up with Raina was not the show down I needed. But all in all a good read.
I absolutely love D and Olivia, there friendship is what makes this series. And the additional characters to what I like to call the Scooby gang were interesting. I have not read the other series but definitely will now. There were times I laughed out loud. I’m so glad there will be more books in this series. Because while it’s not exactly what I thought it definitely a fun, fast read.
I have enjoyed reading this series of Davina Ravine! In Three Free, we get to visit with Kelsey and the group from a different series. I love it when I can visit favorite characters in a new series. Saving come face to face with a long lost sister as she deals with the sins of her mother. A very good series with strong women, mystery, and psychic crime fighters!
Love the storyline and characters in this series! Definitely following the author to know when more come out. There is plenty of intrigue and mystery, a litter horror, paranormal, all wrapped up around characters you root for and want to win and those that are just evil that you can’t wait to see taken down.
I’ve really been enjoying this series but this book got a little off track kind of like a run away train in parts. There were already at least 15 characters and names to keep up with then the author throws in another dozen from another one of her stories which just made it chaotic.
I especially enjoyed the cross over from Kelsey’s burden! Man that was also an excellent series. My goal is to read everything this author has written. I’m enjoying the psychic component in these books! Very fun with some hilarious moments. I adore Olivia
This is the 3rd book in the series. The 1st book Felt kind of frenetic to me. I went ahead and read the second book because I wanted to see how the story played out. I am envious of the unswerving dedication of her friends. I have not been able to offer this kind of friendship in my life. I enjoy reading about it. I will finish this series.
Davina has a terrible family line. It seems that with each line a parent has no control in whether the child will be cursed or not. I would be devastated if my child was cursed because it just seemed there was nothing they could do about it. I hope that we see who is the diabolical person in the big picture and what happens next.
As I said in my very first review of this series, Psychic Crime Thrillers was never really my thing, but YOU made me a lover as far as this series goes, I can't wait to see what's next, and I abso-freaking-lutely loved the crossover!!!
I have enjoyed every page of the new series by Kaylie Hunter. I’ve laughed and cried. I felt the chills of fear. The pages evoked all emotions. I can’t wait for the story to continue to unfold in the next book!
I enjoyed this third book in the series. I was totally entertained by these very well developed characters. Humorous moments, sad moments, exciting moments. I love it when a story pulls you in and then you don’t want to let go. Outstanding story.
The characters are so real. I love that you gave them real life problems. It’s fast paced so you don’t get bored. You’re my new fav author! Thanks for the hours of enjoyment.
I think everyone should read this series of books. They are interesting and fun to read. My new favorite. I am on to the fourth book, no sleep for me tonight.
