This was a wonderfully researched book about Algernon Barkworth, a Yorkshire Justice of the Peace who also survived sinking the Titanic by swimming to a collapsible boat. The book researches his obscure life both before and after the disaster and also speculates on his same sex relationships which were difficult to uncover since he passed away in 1945. An impressive achievement!
