I’ll always be a freak. I don’t have a Pack anymore, and I’m officially on the run.
Now, at least, I know I’m half Tide-Witch, half Fire wolf, but I still abso-freaking-lutely suck at using my Fire power. Now, it’s time to learn, because I’m going to need that power soon.
We’ve been on the road for a week, travelling to Tarren, Elijah’s Earth Pack home, where we hope to be welcomed and find new allies in the brewing war between Fire and Water Packs.
So this young lady Katherine is really a hot mess in my opinion. Am I the only one that thinks she's rather selfish? She finds her mate and states she loves him but yet argues with him about everything he does. She wants him to be protective but not too much so that he saves her or asks her not to put herself in danger. She is able to make her own decisions, but he can not interfere in any sort of way. Basically, she wants things her way, and he is supposed to just bow to her except when she feels lonely. Then he can be bossy? This is really a one-sided relationship. There's a difference between being a strong, independent person and just being selfish in her own decisions. He has made mistakes, but she did sleep with someone else who claimed to be her mate. Not once but several times and yet he's not supposed to be jealous or scared she'll go back to him, especially the way she treats him more like a sleeping buddy, when she wants, not a mate to make decisions together and protect one another. I mean he is the son of the Alpha and will someday be the Alpha yet she treats him like a second hand to her. Alone on her own once again because staying with your fated mate is too much trouble for her to handle.
Man, I’m all in! It’s not just about Katie and Killian anymore. Or carter, or Elijah or Ella. It’s the whole group. I love them as their own little pack of mismatched and it’s an amazing journey. I’m so excited to see what will happen next. I need the group to win and do what everyone thinks isn’t possible but all hope for anyway. This is definitely turning out to be a must read series and a page turner that I cannot put down! I love it!
This is the second book and it has so many secrets and I need answers. Katie and Killian are fighting to stay alive and finding new friends on the way. Can't wait for book three.
