Imagine my shock when I see my former best friend's daughter.
Her smile making me hard the moment I catch her sweet scent.
Those firm bre@sts peeking out from a sexy little business suit.
All the sass and confidence wrapped up in a petite curvy frame.
Safe to say we know which head will win this battle.
Eden's father may have been my best friend before an epic clash...
But I know what I want. Right now that's his daughter.
More specifically speaking...
Her bent over my knees.
Begging me to claim her innocence.
I can already picture the headlines.
'Hot shot Director beds his much younger assistant.'
I’ve tried for years to rid myself of my darkness.
But screw being Mr. Nice Guy.
The beast inside can only stay locked away for so long.
And tonight it's salivating for a taste of the forbidden fruit beneath Eden's business suite.
Readers note: This is an older man, younger woman, dad's best friend office romance. You'll need a cool glass of water because the HEAT level is scorching. Don't say I didn't warn you!!

Solid trashy smut with great family drama that had me reaching for the popcorn. There were plot holes, twists were obvious, but it was fun for what it was.
I loved every second of this book. Damn. There was a forbidden feel to it, lots of mystery, a drop of heartache, sweet, sweet romance- and alllll the spice! ♡
“I’d treat you like a damn princess if I had my way.” I suck in a sharp breath. “Really?” “But right after I’m finished with you, Eden. I plan on doing the filthiest fucking things to that sweet virgin pussy of yours.”
KC Crowne brought the heat in this one, y'all! Five stars!
important bits: virgin heroine age gap (21h, 42H) rough sex dom/sub undertones no cheating HEA & epilogue! ♡
My bookshelves may contain spoilers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This ended up being better than i first gave it credit for. It was cute. A nice easy read. Not a ton of character development, so i wasn’t super emotionally attached to the characters or anything. Pretty mild angst by my standards…. But I’m a sucker for angst! Lol. I would have loved a bit more back and forth before they got together too. It just sort of…. Happened. 🤷🏼♀️ Again…. Needs angst.
2 stars. Too many ridiculous things happened with the story... and it was wayyy too long.
1. It's obvious who the stalker is, pretty much the whole time, but Hunter doesn't realize it even when she basically screams it to his face, and he doesn't do anything about it, other than eventually hire a bodyguard for Eden... this kind of plot hole really really annoys me. If you are a millionaire and you were worried about the fact that some psycho had been in your home, been in your office, etc, why wouldn't you do more to protect yourself and your so-called loved ones? I much prefer the kind of stories where the MMC is obsessed with his love's safety so he keeps a tracker on her and he has a security team and a safe house etc... 2. At the end, the experienced bodyguard can't handle one nutcase stalker? Not bloody likely... 3. Why did Walton let the stalker get his revenge for him? If he really has a bunch of enforcers working for him, and he had really been stewing for months planning the perfect revenge, then why wouldn't he have at least sent some of his enforcers with Renee, so she didn't screw everything up? Not that I wanted Renee to succeed, but the story just didn't make sense at all. 4. Nobody explains how Eden got pregnant. Did she not know how she had to take her birth control every day? Or did she forget to take it? or did she not know that it's not effective for the first week? or are we supposed to believe she's one of the 1% of women who still get pregnant when they're on birth control? ? ? 5. Eden's character just didn't draw me in. She was all over the place. She's supposed to be this sweet bleeding-heart doe-eyed girl whose dream is to be a doctor (but she's also fiery and sassy 🙄)... And she kind of was those things, but it was more Tell than Show... she hides her pregnancy from Hunter for 3 months; she cuts her dad out of her life; she forgives her mom -- she does all of these things that should have had a huge impact on her psyche at least for a little while, but, for the most part, she just continues on her way, like she didn't just do something totally incongruous to the way she's acted for most of her life... or, idk, maybe I just didn't find her to be very likeable... It was cool that she had different colored eyes though. Lol
I could probably think of a few more things that bugged me but that's good enough for now. The book would have been at least 4 stars if it was half the length, with fewer time jumps, and if the stalker & Walton stuff was done differently. I just wanted the MCs to get together & stay together, with less drama, less crazy homicidal maniacs... and just, you know, just make it make sense. That's all I ask.

This is an author that I tend to pick up when I need to past the time and don’t know what else to read. So, this is not my first story by them. That being said, it is however the one that I have been the least interested in by the end of the book.
There were times when I found myself enjoying it, in particular the opening of the story. The FMC, Eden, was feisty, fun to read and easy to root for. While the MMC, Hunter, seemed like a douche in the beginning he ended up being a character that was just what the FMC needed in a partner. But at times he could be conveniently dumb, especially when he is putting together the stalker bit of the story.
Then there comes a point where the MMC seemingly forgets about the stalker and just how dangerous another character is even though it is stressed throughout the book that Hunter has firsthand knowledge of it. Then the FMC is left with a female bodyguard that proves to be rather bad at her job. And when it’s all said and done the FMC makes a questionable decision concerning the stalker. Which feels unreasonable considering that the stalker was willing to try and kill multiple people that the FMC loved. And that is when I really started to uninvest from the story.
The last quarter of the book felt like everything, but the kitchen sink was thrown in. There were about three times when I was sure the story was going to end only for another thing to happen. And by the end I was kind of rolling my eyes at the plot. Which also sort of sums up my feelings on the “smut” scenes. The first one was good but after that it just was “okay”.
Would I recommend reading this book? No. And that is because overall this story has some issues but to explain them, I would have to spoil the plot further and I don’t want to do that. What I would say is if you are interested in the synopsis than read and decide for yourself.

"My Ex-Best Friend's Daughter: An Age Gap Older Man Younger Woman Romance" (Silver Fox Daddies Book 7) by K.C. Crowne was a terrific read. I loved Hunter and Eden's story. This story had romance, passion, entertaining characters, drama, twists, office romance, age-gap, family, and more. This was a wonderful addition to this series. Each book can be read as a standalone. Highly recommend it to all fans of age-gap romance, office romance, and series.
Eden (h) goes to work for Hunter (H), film studio head and director, as his assistant. Hunter had been a close friend of the family as Eden grew up until there was a falling out between her father and Hunter. AS Edan and Hunter work together and get to know one another better, there relationship moves in a new direction. This one took a bit for me to get into and there was a period where I was thinking about calling it done, but I kept reading and when things started to move then the story really progressed quickly. Lots of action and things going on, though at times I felt like there were too many things happening with so many secrets, characters, and relationships pulling in a lot of different directions.
Absolutely lovely. One of my top reads for 2022! It definitely gets your heart racing in all the right spots. Loved each and every character. Definitely recommend this one!! Loved it!
This one is a sizzling older man younger woman age-gap romance that really sets the pages on fire. The book starts out with Eden Spencer at a job interview for a personal assistant at Sky Rider Studios. At least it's supposed to be an interview because the interviewer is on his cellphone in the middle of her interview instead of conducting it. She never thought that in a million years would she be interviewed by the head honcho himself, Hunter Stride, an award-winning director and producer, or as she remembers him, Uncle Hunter. He's not related to her by blood, rather he used to be her father's best friend and spent countless hours at her house, even stepping in to take her to a movie when her parents were too busy with work. She has fond memories of him and doesn't know the reason for him and her father's falling out. During the interview he tells her that she's not as awestruck as the first nine candidates and she retorts to him that she wouldn't be a very good employee if she spent most of her time fascinated by him, nothing would get done. He keeps feeling like he knows her from somewhere and when he tells her that she seems familiar to him and have they ever met. She tells him that it's about time he recognizes her. He thinks he met her last year at Rihanna's party and she was an exotic dancer. She stands up and tells him that she doesn't think that this job is cut out for her. He can't believe she's walking out, that she has no idea who he actually is. She tells him that actually she does and she wishes him luck finding a personal assistant and calls him Uncle Hunter. He grabs her hand to keep her from walking out and calls her by her childhood nickname, Edie. He tells her that she's really grown from the last time he saw her and she tells him that that's what happens when you disappear for ten plus years. He grumbles to her that he didn't disappear. He and her father had a falling out. She tells him that she better get going. He questions if she wants the job and she said she does but didn't realize it would be for him personally. In fact, her father would have a cow if he knew she was interviewing to be his personal assistant or even getting any job at his studio, their falling out was just that bad. He asks her if her father told her what it was about. She tells him no, that all he said was that Hunter wouldn't be coming around anymore and that they shouldn't speak to him. He comments a disparaging remarks about her father and she thanks him for his time, walking out on him. Eden gets to her apartment and her roommate/best friend, Taylor, is in the bathroom getting ready to go out. She's a camgirl and excited tells Eden that she thinks she's found her whale (someone who rains money down on her). When Eden asks her why is she so dressed up, Taylor tells her it's because they are both going out to celebrate. First for Eden's twenty-first birthday, which was a month ago, and finding her whale. Eden doesn't feel in the party mood but Taylor convinces her to go out, even going so far as to put one of her sequined dresses on Eden's bed for her to wear. They're going to a club called Sensational because a friend of Taylor got her on the VIP list. In the meantime, Hunter is out at a club schmoozing someone to get them to invest in a film project he's trying to get off the ground. He eventually gets the guy to commit the amount of money he needs. They are now looking around the club when two stunning beauties walk by. The guy Hunter is with wants to buy them some drinks and maybe they'll get lucky. Hunter says no, what would the guy's wife think. The guy blows him off and then leaves. Hunter is about to leave himself when he hears the girls in the next booth talking. He recognizes one of them as Eden. So, he settles back into his booth reminiscing about Edie Halloway, now Eden Spencer, and how much she's changed. She's now a gorgeous, sexy woman. He overhears some more of their conversation and discovers that Eden is a virgin. Taylor then gets up to go give her credit card number for them to start a tab, leaving Eden by herself at the table. Hunter gets out of his booth, silently slides into her booth and startles her. She asks what he's doing there and exactly how much of their conversation did he hear. He plays dumb and says hear what? He tells her that he was just wrapping up a business meeting. She asks in a nightclub? He says he has his reasons. Then he notices two guys across the way eyeing up Eden like she's a nice juicy steak and he takes off his jacket and places it over her lap to minimize the amount of skin she has on display. Before long they approach the table and ask Eden if she'd like to dance with them because she looks bored sitting there with the old guy for company. She politely declines saying that she's waiting on her friend to get back. They tell her that her friend can join her on the dance floor with them. Hunter tells them that she's already gave them her answer and for them to move along. One of the guys tells him to shut up. He stands and before long a bouncer asks Mr. Stride if there's a problem here. One of the guys immediately recognizes the name and starts apologizing about their behavior while the other one still wants to mess with him. Hunter then lowers his voice so only the two guys will hear and he tells them that they have two options. The first is to apologize to Eden for their behavior and walk away or second he could make some calls and they'll never find an acting job in this town. The smart one of the two boys apologizes and drags his friend off. He looks at Eden expecting to look flustered but instead finds her staring at him with arousal in her eyes. He immediately tells if they bother her again, to let the bouncer know and he immediately leaves. It's after two in the morning when he receives a call from his head of the financial department, Renee, and she says that they have an emergency. One of their foreign investors is threatening to pull out of their investment deal for a movie he's doing. He tells her what to do then tells her goodnight. He then he calls Eden, after getting her number off her job application, and asks if she's still looking for a job. She says yes and he tells her to show up for work on Monday. She arrives at work for her first day and the first words out of Hunter's mouth is that she's late. He hands her the newest model of iPhone and tells her that is her work phone. He tells her no personal calls or texts on it and from here on out she'll be handling sensitive information. He tells her that her desk is over there, not pointing or even looking in it's direction. She is required to attend his meeting with him where she needs to take down the minutes so he can review them later. He also wants her to sync with his calendar and work email. She will be in charge of his calls and texts; she is only to bother him with important correspondence. She asks him how is she supposed to know what's important and what isn't. He tells her to use her judgement. She tells him that that is a lot of pressure, what if she gets something wrong. Then he tells her that he supposes he can give her a bit easy on her for the first couple of days. She says okay and asks what else can she do while she's setting up her phone. He tells her that she can help him find his watch. She begins looking for it and before long she finds herself in his personal space. When she notices he's very close to her and is staring at her with heated curiosity. He then tells her that when she's there she should call him Mr. Stride to prevent any rumors of impropriety starting up.She agrees and he makes her say yes sir. Then there's a knock on the door and in walks a very pretty blonde, statuesque woman who she finds out is the Chief Financial Officer at Star Rider Studios. Her name is Renee Thatch and she barely looks at Eden. She hands a stack of papers that require Hunter's signature, he picks up a pen and starts signing but abruptly stops when he notices a red envelope sticking out of the stack. He asks what's that doing there and Renee says she has no idea. She doesn't no where it came from and should she call security? He says no and hurriedly puts the envelope in his suit pocket. Eden asks him what is it and not to worry about it. He dismisses Renee and send Eden out to get lunch from his favorite restaurant, El Blanco. When Eden leaves we learn that Hunter has been receiving these envelopes with critical messages inside for a while. He figures that they're from an unhinged stalker and he doesn't want Eden involved in this mess. She gets back with lunch and they start to eat, both at their respective desks. They talk about when she was a kid she wanted to go to Harvard when she grew up but somehow wound up at UCLA. She tells him that her grades weren't good enough to get her in Harvard which he simply doesn't believe. Also that she wanted to be close in case her dad got sick. He asks how her father, Thomas, is an she tells him fine as well as if he's still directing, she says yep. He switches to ask if her mom is still acting and she quickly says she doesn't know, she doesn't talk to her much since the divorce. He asks why is she using Spencer as her last name and she tells him the even though it's been a while since her dad's had a successful project she didn't want to be tied to him, that she wanted to make it on her own merits and hard work. The phone rings and Eden answers it, but doesn't know how to transfer the call so Hunter comes to her desk to take the call. When he gets off the phone he tells her that she needs to meet him tomorrow morning at an address he will send her. She agrees to do that and wants to know what else to do. He tells her to look for his watch. She wants to know why doesn't he just buy a new one and he tells her that he can't replace it because it was given to him by a friend, it's irreplaceable. The next day, Eden decides to wear a miniskirt to see what kind of reaction she could get from Hunter because the day before he looked like he wanted to eat her alive. She gets to the casting office and his reaction was better than she could've imagined. One of the men there jumps up and assists Eden with the coffee tray she's holding. He introduces himself as Charlie Porter, cinematographer. She introduces herself and he starts flirting with her and Hunter announces that she's sitting with him. They're there to audition actresses for the leader role in Hunter's next film.So far they've gone through about ninety-nine women and Eden has only jotted down about eight names. Hunter calls for the next actress and it's Annabeth, Eden's estranged mother. They haven't seen each other for several years. Her mother squeals when she sees her, running to her and gathering her into a tight bear hug. Her mother asks her how has she been, how it's a wonderful surprise to see her and how long has she worked for Azure-Hale Casting. Eden explains that she doesn't work for them she works for Mr. Stride. Hunter says her name and she face changes to a dopey smile, she's chewing her bottom lip as well. They act like she isn't even there anymore. Her mother snaps out of it and tells her that the three of them should do lunch so they can catch up with each other. Eden grinds her teeth and agrees with her. Annabeth finishes her audition and thanks Hunter for the opportunity before leaving. Hunter tells Eden to type up the notes and forward them in an email to him. She mentions that she thought he was going to make a decision today for the lead. He tells her no, that it's a lengthy process. He also tells her that that's all he needs from her for today. She leaves and when she gets to the parking lot and sees her car, it's up on blocks with all four tires missing. Charlie sees her car and bursts out laughing. He offers her a ride home when all of a sudden Hunter appears and says that she's riding with him. He also offers her his mechanic's name and phone number that they'll pick up her car and return it to her when it's done. She tells him she doesn't think she can offers them. He tells her don't worry about the cost, just tell them that I sent you and they'll do it as a favor to him. They get in his car and Eden asks him if he likes Charlie or something. After being silent for a while, he explains that he does like Charlie but that Charlie doesn't know where to draw the line between business or personal. Eden starts saying something and Hunter cuts her off, saying that he'll do anything that moves. They pull up to her apartment and Hunter offers to walk her to her door because he doesn't like where she lives; thinks it's dangerous. He walks her to her door, they're having a conversation when the door opens and Taylor, Eden's roommate, invites Hunter to stay for dinner. He accepts and goes inside with the girls. Taylor then gets a call and leaves them in the kitchen. Eden jokingly calls him an old timer, which reminds him that he's twice her. age, and he suddenly says that he has to go. She begins telling him that she was just joking but he still says that he has to go. So he leaves. A couple of weeks go by and Eden is thoroughly enjoying her work, but she still can't figure out why Hunter has taken the first step considering all the lust-filled heated looks he was sending her before the dinner fiasco. Now he barely looks at her or he's gotten very good at not be obvious. She can't take it anymore so she gathers up some papers and pretends she's heading to the mail room. She drops a piece of paper and bends over, while her back is facing Hunter, to pick it up. She's taken to wearing only skirts around the office in hopes of enticing Hunter to react. As she's bending to pick up the paper, Hunter calls her name so she looks over her shoulder and says, yes, Mr. Stride. Within in seconds Hunter has come around his desk, grabbed her around the waist and pins her to the wall with his body. He accuses her of torturing him for weeks and she tells him that that wasn't her intention. He tells her that this is a bad idea She asks why and he says because he's her boss. She says she doesn't care. Then he says he's way too old and she says she doesn't care. She eventually tells him that she's allowed to make her own decisions. He asks what would her decision be. She cups his manhood as her answer. This is where I'll leave you and you'll have to get the book to find out what happens next. Let's just say it gets all kinds of steamy from here on out. There's an unknown stalker, a family feud and a hidden past to be discovered in this book that you'll only find out about by getting this book. I can highly recommend this book just on the swoon-worthy, older lead main character. I mean older men really know how to treat a lady. Not only are the characters fantastic but it really is a well written, carefully thoughtout storyline that hooks you in and takes you on an adventure. It's a romance definite must have!!.

I liked it. Both hero and heroine were likeable characters. I liked that there wasn't OW/OM drama (there was a woman obsessed with hero).
I liked that the hero only had eyes for heroine once they started working together (obviously he didn't want her last time he saw her when she was 10 years). He reacted perfectly when other women hit on him or made passes, he did not entertain them at all and discouraged them.
I liked heroine and that she wasn't a doormat and had a backbone in confronting people.
What I didn't love was just how much was going on. There were so many problems going on her daddy issues, her mommy issues, loan shark just out of prison, revenge plot, stalker, etc.
I also didn't love that heroine tried to keep her pregnancy a secret from hero, her reasoning made no sense to me. P.

This was a cute one. You definitely have to be a fan of the age gap romance, but if you are, this is a decent addition to this sub-genre. The movie industry angle was a nice touch, and the issues around Eden's family really added to the story. It turned up the intensity of the story and made it not just another tropey romance.
In this book, you'll see everything from stalkers to the female MC dealing with ther estranged mother being the star of the movie her man is directing. There are some wild things going on that definitely add some drama. There are some sweet moments as well. I liked it. It wasn't my favorite age gap story in the world. It had issues and probably needed to concentrate one issue for the complexity level of the story. But overall, it was enjoyable.

My Ex-Best friend’s Daughter: An Age Gap Older Man Younger woman story all about secrets, deceit, hard feelings, jealousy, lies, misunderstandings. Hunter Stride is one of the biggest most successful movie directors in LA and is in dire need of a personal assistant - immediately. Eden walks into his office to interview for the position but she gets quite irritated with Hunter, he doesn’t seem to even recognize her what-so-ever and pretty much lets him know it verbally, she has gotten quite sassy in the time they haven’t seen each other in ten years. She says you know I don’t need this…she gets up and says never mind and smarts off something and calls him Uncle Hunter as she is heading out the door; he is beyond shocked but finally Hunter talks her into working for him and immediately they both discover an attraction for the other, but Hunter is really fighting the “I shouldn’t because” I am twice her age, and her dad WAS his best friend for years and years - it couldn’t happen. So Eden pushes the envelope and starts wearing a bit more racier clothes than what she normally wears, dropping stuff so she has to bend over to pick it up conveniently in front of him, tight blouses, anything to keep herself in front of him - (you get the picture). They finally manage to make it work to get together but from that moment on absolutely nothing seems to go their way, seems like everything and everyone is against what they are trying to build, into the mix comes her father that is a mess all in his own right; Hunter hasn’t told Eden yet but he has a stalker that seems to be getting bolder and bolder; Edens’ mother shows up when shes not made contact with Eden for years other than sporadically; now into the circle of misfits an old enemy of Hunter’s shows up and is bound and determined to get revenge. This is an excellent story you will be on the edge of your chair most of the time. Can Hunter and Eden first of all make it through all of the turmoil? Can Hunter let the age difference go and just let what will be happen? What’s going to happen to them with and if all the back story comes out and Eden learns all of it and the rolls that Hunter, her dad and her mom played in the breakup of the friendship all those years ago. Ms. Crowne has again done an amazing job. I encourage you to grab a copy, you won’t be disappointed. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.
Eden Spencer Halloway, daughter of Hollywood elite—the breathtaking movie star, Annabelle Spencer known for her ethereal beauty, and talented director Thomas Halloway—knows better than most, that Hollywood is much like the movies it creates—appearing as gloss and glamour but crafted by smoke and mirrors. Young Edie’s childhood had been magical with famous names and faces drifting through her earliest memories, one of whom was her dad’s best friend, the talented producer and director, Hunter Stride, whose handsome looks easily could have made him eligible to work in front of a camera as well as give directions from behind the lens.
But without warning, her world fell apart. After an unexplained fight between her dad and her “uncle” Hunter, her favorite non-related adult ended. That separation was soon followed by the divorce of her parents and a long, ugly custody fight that separated her physically from her mom and emotionally from her broken dad. So, the 11-year-old young girl, left with a dad who very quickly began to slip deeper and deeper into alcohol and the debilitating affects of excessive drinking on his health, learned to be independent and self-motivated.
Now, at 21, Eden Halloway Spencer, living with a subtle, but significant, name change to better secure her privacy, has graduated with highest honors in bioscience from UCLA, and needs a job. Medical school is her personal goal, but paying her bills and saving for med school is her immediate concern. And so, not afraid to confront her past, beautiful Eden—clearly her mother’s daughter—seeks a job in the studio world of Hollywood at the office of her father’s former best friend, her “Uncle Hunter.” But secrets from the past and new threats in the present, emerge as the older Hunter and the younger Eden find that 20 years is not significant gap to overcome when love serves as a bridge.
KC Crowne always provides an entertaining and engaging plotline filled with challenges and dangers that only an experienced daddy can solve.
I received the ARC for this older-man, younger-woman romance through Booksprout and purchased my copy for my Kindle.
Eden needed a job in the worst way so she applied for a position as an assistant, but she had no idea it was be for the head of the production company, Hunter Stride himself. He did not recognize her as the little girl he use to come over to play with years ago. He was being right down rude during this interview. He was exnoring her by taking phone calls and not completely the interview like her time was not as important as his. Finally, she refused his job, calling out as she left Uncle Hunter so he would know exactly who she was. Later, that evening Eden's roommate Taylor convinced Eden to go to an up and coming club for some much needed fun. It was not one of the normal top things on Eden's to do list, but she did finally agree to go. When her and Taylor first got there, they talked for a bit before Taylor went off to get them drinks while she was gone Hunter set down by Eden to talk, saving her from a couple of dudes, and gives her his jacket. Before, they part ways each heading out. Once Hunter gets back to the office, he contacts Eden offering her the assistant position in his office. This time she takes the job. There may be twenty years difference in their ages, but they are both drawn to each other. Hunter does everything possible to keep his hands off Eden, but she teases him in how she dresses and acts around him. Hunter has a stalker that has been sending him letters at the studio for over a year, but he had never worried about, because they seemed to be harmless enough. Then things started happening around his home, they were plain scary. Along the way this guy from Hunter's past comes back to the city to get even with Hunter for sending him to prison. Hunter worries about Eden getting near that guy. The suspense keeps building as Eden does not know if she can believe Hunter, or not after she sees him with her mother. An edge of your chair read for sure.

This was an enjoyable book and it keeps you on your toes with secrets, miss understandings, jealousy, deceit, enemies, stalkers, strength, suspense, drama are just a few issues that come up throughout this book. Eden Spencer Halloway is the daughter to her famous actress mother Annabelle Spencer and a father who was a well respected director Thomas Halloway and her dad’s best friend Hunter Stride who was an uncle to her and she had the perfect life until it all fell apart with her parents divorced and everyone hated each other and now at 21st she old she still has no idea what happened all those years ago. After graduating from college she now wants to go to medical school but she needs a job and applys at Star Rider Studios because of her parents friends but the biggest shock is that Hunter does the interview but at first he doesn’t recognize her and she is still taken by how sexy he is and the dirty thoughts that are swimming around in her head. Hunter Stride is the owner of Star Rider Studios and is doing a interview for a personal assistant and a gorgeous woman that sits before him has him thinking of a lot of different things he wants to do to her but when he finds out who she is he wants her even more but he must keep it professional but Eden has other plans and it isn’t long till they are having a secret affair and both want more out of this relationship but there are enemies that will stop at nothing to pull them apart even her parents get involved and then throw in a stalker and a ex con has them fighting to stay in front of everything that’s happening around them so they can have the future they both desire. How does it all turn out with everyone involved and can the past stay where in belongs in the past. Great book.

Hunter and Eden’s story is super nova hot, steamy and a bit taboo. She is literally half his age and the daughter of an old colleague. But the young girl he used to know has definitely grown up, developed curves and gotten very sassy. When he interviewed for the job as his assistant, Hunter did not recognize Eden and she walked away from the job. An overheard conversation at a club while he was at a meeting and she was celebrating her birthday gives Hunter a bit of information he can’t forget. It prods him to offer her the job again with a few added incentives which she accepts. Right from the start the sexual tension between them is palpable and working closely serves to rev it up to almost unbearable levels. When she boldly tells him what she wants he is more than happy to take their relationship to a more intimate level. They are very quickly in deeper than either would have expected. But their situation soon turns dangerous due to a stalker and old enemies from his past have a taste revenge and Eden may become an unwilling pawn. Hunter is determined to protect her at all costs. Eden also discovers more about Hunter’s relationship with her parents and what really happened a decade ago. Will it force her to distance herself from the man she has come to love? Can Hunter keep Eden safe? Will they have a chance at building a future together? You will need to read this rather addictive book to find out.

This story was actually better than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be a quick cheap thrill read. However, it actually had a decent plot. why is this not a 4 star of higher read for me? Well, I wanted a little more angst build up between Eden and Hunter. I wanted to see Hunter battle with his feelings a little more than he did knowing that this was his ex-friend's daughter, whom he had known as a kid. I also have a complaint with how the story was executed. Don't just create drama for the sake of entertainment. Make it make sense! For example, Eden has very distinctive facial features. She has different color eyes and long dark hair. She walks into Hunter's office looking for a job. She changed her name. Why? Because she didn't want to be recognized and be treated differently. Okay. But, Hunter, did not recognize her? Dude, do you know a lot of women with different color eyes? You knew this girl when she was little! Okay, its been a long time. Maybe you forgot. But Eden needs a job. Why not just go anywhere to get a job? Why come to the man that you know your father hates? What were you looking for? Or expecting? Then she gets an attitude with him when he did not recognize her! I am confused. Make it make sense. Anyways...this was a consistent thing throughout the story and it was annoying me. Plus, I started to not like Eden. So, there you have it. It was just an okay read for me.
Another 5-star book by KC Crowne, I really enjoy all the stories KC Crowne releases. I enjoy the array of topics and challenges the characters address. My Ex-Best Friend’s Daughter has suspense, family trouble, and love.
Hunter Stride is a self-made man. He is well known for the movies his studio releases. He started out with a rocky beginning and made some bad choices that landed his best friend in trouble. He has recently been dealing with a stalker of his own. Hunter is taken unaware when his ex best friend's daughter interviews for a position at his studio to be his personal assistant.
Eden Spencer grew up with famous parents. She always looked up to Hunter Stride as a favorite uncle until her family fell apart. Her mother abandoned her. Her father tried his best, but continued to struggle in the movie business. Eden has worked hard to become a doctor after she sees the struggles her father has faced with his health. She interviewed for a job at Hunter’s studio thinking the position would be for anyone other than the owner. She is surprised to discover the identity of her boss. Their working relationship runs smoothly and soon moves into a personal relationship. This proves to open up obstacles for both to overcome. Will they be able to find happiness?.

What a fabulous book. This book definitely deserves 5⭐️’s. It’s well written and has really great story depth. At the beginning we get a clear idea of how Hunter and Eden know each other, there’s suspense with a stalker, drama and danger from an enemy from Hunter’s past and how that person affected Hunter and Eden’s dad’s relationship, not to mention an incredible and forbidden love story. Eden has been through a lot, her parents divorce and feeling like her mom abandoned her, she’s dealt with her dads sickness, all while going to school and supporting herself. When she applies for a PA job she doesn’t realize it’s with her fathers ex best friend and her “uncle” (not blood), Hunter. There’s definite chemistry between the two right off the bat, but Hunter tries to do right and keeps her at arms length, she’s too young he tells himself. But she doesn’t back down, and soon he can’t resist her. What was suppose to be fun, turns into something they both don’t expect and soon Eden gets unexpected news! Between navigating their relationship, there’s also a crazy stalker after Hunter. And they’ve even targeted Eden, which is something Hunter won’t allow. He’ll do anything to keep her and their baby safe. This was so good, I wasn’t sure at first, but once I started reading it I couldn’t stop.
Eden (innocent mfc,21) Hunter (mmc, 42) Thomas (mfc dad, ex friend of mmc) Taylor (mfc roommate)
Eden is the daughter of Hunter's ex-best friend. She called him uncle growing up, but there was no blood or legal relation. She also has no idea why the men aren't friends anymore, and she hasn't seen him in 11 years. Until the job interview, where not only does he not recognize her, but he is a condescending jerk. She puts him in his place, telling him off and walking out. After running into her later that night at a club, he calls her in the middle of the night and offers her the job. She's studying to be a doctor and has no experience, but she needs a job. The forbidden attraction flairs hot. Hunter and her parents are hiding something from her though, and he knows when she finds out, they will be over. But that's not the only problem. Someone is trying to kill her...
Lots of steamy scenes, even some spice. Danger from more than one source. I really enjoy the way this author writes. Very rarely do you ever get bogged down or bored. I'm usually not a fan of age gaps this large, but this story made it work. It's Hollywood after all, it's what they do.
Whilst I do like a shortish story I loved this longer version and I could really get to grips with the characters and there were plenty of them. I am sure each has a story of their own. The model on the front of the book really took on the persona of Hunter down to a tee and this was a brilliant choice. This was a love story about a woman who knew what she wanted and went after it. I loved Eden’s spunk and her strength. Hunter was everything I expected from a hero and the insight into Hollywood was an eye opener. Well researched. The sex between these two was off the charts and this was balanced between Hunter’s stalker and Walton’s threats. A back story of Eden’s parents, Walton and Hunter was also what made this a very engrossing page turner. This wasn’t just an older man younger woman story it was sooo much more and I highly recommend this story. I could not put it down it was brilliant.

Eden has recently graduated from college and is looking for a job. She applies for an assistants job with a film company owned by her fathers ex friend Hunter. She doesn't expect him to be the one conducting the interviews, but when she arrives its clear he doesn't remember who she is and he is not the same "Uncle Hunter" that she remembers from 10 years ago. Not liking the attitude he has in the interview, Eden decides she'd rather not work with him after all. Hunter cannot believe how different Eden/Edi looks now, she is a beautiful woman not the little girl he remembers. He finally realises that he cannot go without an assistant and calls her to ask her to take the job, he even agrees to offer her more benefits if she will start straight away. But what happens when their mutual attraction to each other becomes too much to ignore.
This is a younger woman, older man romance story. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend reading it.

K.C. Crowne had me captivated in this age gap, dad’s ex best friend romance! It was steamy, suspenseful, intriguing and did I mention it was HAWT?? Eden hasn’t seen Hunter since she was a child, but she’s always been impressed and awed by the man who was “Uncle Hunter.” She’s no longer a child, he’s in need of a PA, and this silver fox has her wanting to hand him her “V” card on a silver platter! Eden relinquished her most precious cargo to Hunter and she wants to be both his naughty and good girl all at the same time. When outside, hidden forces start affecting their relationship, can Eden handle the pressure or will she cut and run with a secret of her own?
These two were a hot mess that I didn’t mind because I knew that Taylor wouldn’t allow Eden to stay away from Hunter much longer…that’s what great friends are for, right? Taylor was that friend that everyone needs and when she connected with her whale…SHOCK! I’m never disappointed with Crowne’s work and look forward to what’s to come.
KC Crowne delivers another great book. In this book Hunter has had a misunderstanding with Eden’s father and they have not been friends for years. The book begins with Eden applying for a job with Hunter who at first doesn’t recognize her and because she is going by her mothers maiden name he doesn’t realize who she is. Hunter agrees to let Eden work for him although he is very attracted to her. Although Eden desperately needs the job she is extremely bratty towards Hunter bringing out his strong alpha male domineering tendencies. There is a great mystery about why Hunter no longer gets along with Eden’s father and they stopped speaking. Hunter also has a stalker that is annoying to him but, he seems unconcerned about reporting to the police. KC Crowne delivers some really steamy sex scenes in this book and the romance between the two characters are great. However there are several mysteries in the book that made it a page turner for me.
I have not read many age gap books but this is Gotta be among one of the best. It’s more than just older man hooks up with younger woman. Yes, Hunter is old enough to be her father, and Eden has not seen him in years. She knows right away who he is but he hasn’t seen her since she was a little girl. Sparks fly, and Eden knows exactly what she wants. eden‘s father was Hunter‘s best friend, there was a huge fallout that affected everybody including Eden‘s mother. They’re hurt read deep, Eden hasn’t seen her mother or heard from her in years. What captured my attention was this book was not just about Hunter and Eden, it was about building a relationship, Families, best friends, business acquaintances, and worst of all paparazzi. It is said in the film industry so get ready for a wild ride, some stocker action, and some really steamy scenes that might make you blush. The happily ever after was perfect for this book. Family, forgiveness, and a chance for a better future.
3.5 stars. The beginning of the book was four stars but lost 1/2 a star around 65%. I liked the lead and side characters and there was surprisingly a lot more plot than I expected, but the characters started doing really stupid things. Eden sees something that was innocent and jumps to conclusions. Someone tells her "ask your mom" but does she ever ask her mom? No. Someone tells Hunter that Eden is pregnant. Does he ask her? No. Someone burns down the house that Eden went to stay at, clearly arson, but does she put it together that it's the stalker? No. Someone at work is obviously becoming creepy and unhinged. Does Hunter ever suggest this could be his stalker? No. It also bothered me that Eden decides to take off and raise the baby on her own without telling Hunter partially because "what if he doesn't wants kids?" Well, why don't you ask him and then you'll know. Overall it was entertaining but the cluelessness and stupidity of the characters got annoying and unrealistic.

This was only an ok read for me. At times the plot seemed to drag and felt like it was a bit all over the place, but I did seem to go back and forth between enjoying it and not.
Desperate for money Eden applies for a job with her dad's former best friend, someone she used to call Uncle Hunter. Shocked when he doesn't remember her and even more so when she is offered the job to be his personal assistant. It doesn't take long for sparks to fly and Hunter is breaking all his rules to have a taste of Eden.
Eden was feisty and fun, and definitely kept Hunter on his toes. Hunter was hot and cold for me, sometimes he was a major alpha-hole (and not in a good way) and other times you got these glimmers of a swoony older man wanting to teach Eden all the things.

This is an age gap romance. This book wasn’t as spicy as I thought it was going to be. I wanted more spice in this book.
This book is about a guy named Hunter. He ends up meeting his ex-best friend’s daughter named Eden. She shows up dressed in a sexy black suit with her hair tied up in a bun. He ends up hiring her to be his personal assistant. She has no idea why Hunter and her father don’t speak. Eden’s father and Hunter had an epic falling out. Hunter wants Eden over his knees, begging to take her innocence. Eden is way younger than Hunter.
There is also a mystery in this story where Hunter has a stalker and he doesn’t know who it is . He doesn’t report it to the police or anything. Eden’s father wasn’t a good guy in this story in my opinion. The beginning of this book was spicy but the rest of the book was about the stalker and Eden finding out that she is pregnant with Hunter’s baby. She didn’t tell him at first. I wanted more out of this book.
