This book is so beautiful. It's great to have out on your coffee table to admire the flowers, but it also has a lot of helpful info for an amateur flower arranger like myself, while not dumping too much info and overwhelming me. The self-love encouragement and humor throughout the book makes it a joy to read and not just instructional. I read through all of it cover-to-cover so I could get an overall sense for different ways to arrange flowers, but will definitely open this book again and again as reference material.
I've been on a kick to learn more about flower arranging, and hands-down this is my favorite book. Griffith-Vanderyacht is such a positive person, and it's not just his arrangements but his attitude and tips that makes this book shine. It was a wonderful blend of very specific step-by-step instructions for arrangements, but also lots of tips and encouragement to experiment, be kind to yourself, and let your imagination run wild. He also incorporated a wide variety of flowers, most of which would be easy enough to find without a commercial license. I'm *still* not a fan of fruits and veg in arrangements, but to each their own!
