My whole life I’ve been treated like some innocent naïve girl. Shielded from the dark and dangerous world my big brother inhabits.

But not any longer.

Now, Savage Falls is my home, the Sinners MC, my family. I’m the new club princess, a burden I neither want nor need.

Because I’m not as innocent as they all think.

Not by a long shot.

Not when I spend most of my days dreaming of them. Club prospect Jax Pitman, my best friend’s older brother Diesel Walker, and the Red Ridge Chapter’s newest bad boy Zach Stone.

One of them broke my heart.
One refuses to fix it.
And one of them is slowly bringing me back to life.

But together…

Together, they might just ruin me.

RUIN is a full length dark enemies-to-lovers/bully romance. This is a why choose novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. It is book one in the series.

This book has ruined me. I loved it so much and need more! I've loved getting to know River in her brother's series and loved her even more in her own book. I just wanted to hug her and kick many guys in the junk.

She just wants to be loved. She wants to feel treasured and worthy of someone, anyone. All the guys in the chapter have been warned away from her by big brother Rhett, the Savage Falls VP. He doesn't feel like a biker should have his sister's heart, ever. River needs the thrill, the feel of freedom, the reckless abandon that she's always been sheltered away from. She is finding that little by little.

We know how things turned out with Jax from the Savage Falls Sinners series. How he started to care for River and they became close without crossing those lines. Then River sees him all over some club tramp and realizes Jax is just like what her brother Rhett warned her about. Then throw in Diesel, her friend's hot older brother. The guy who just sees her as a child. Lastly, the newcomer Zach. He remembers her, but she isn't sure why she finds him familiar. He is wrapped in darkness and is so broody.. hot! I thought for sure Jax would be my favorite... but NOPE! I am team Diesel all the way!!!

Her heart is put on the line while she navigates with these three guys. She is shown how a queen should be treated by one, pushed away and pulled back over and over by another, treated with distain and hate by the last. She has her work cut out for her. One needs to man up, one needs to grovel (ok two need to) and one needs to stop loving her in the shadows and show her worth in the light of day. She deserves it and so much more!

HOLY HECK THAT CLIFFHANGER WAS KILLER!! Like dude, I need book 2 now!!!

Hot and entertaining!

River is looking for love, but seemingly can't find it among the men gives her heart to and has interest in -- Zach (favorite), Diesel (second favorite), Jax. Always considered the good girl, none of the guys feel worthy of her, and the one that doesn't care has a personal history against her.

I found this story hugely entertaining. It held my interest until the gripping cliffhanger. Great personalities in River -- sweet but given to challenge, as well as broody, bad boy Zach, responsible but kinky Diesel, and sweet Jax. In this story attractions were high, and the why-choose, unconventional relationship was only just evolving. While I knew who the members of the love group would be, there was simply one on one interaction with the heroine, the heroes sharing MC brother interaction in this first book as their relationship grew. Sexual tension were tangible; storyline was steamy with dirty words, passionate and aggressive interplay as well as sweet healing. There was also some mild jealousy on display.

Character development was great -- unique and distinguishable, even with the range of characters from the first series. Plot progressed moderately, engagingly with some foreshadowing of traumatic secrets that will shape their relationship. And while I did not think the storyline extraordinarily original, it was compelling, loved the characters, and I can't wait to read more.

so. i really enjoyed the previous series, but this one featured a 17 year old FMC and i won't be reading the rest of this series for that reason (in addition to other details that are not sitting right with me when compounded with the age of the fmc.) i read through book 1 to see if she turned 18 before anything stupid, but no. and from what i read online, nor does she in the next two books. i can get on board with a taboo romance, but all parties need to be consenting, which 17-year-olds having sex with 20+ year-olds are not. also, some of the sex scenes were giving assault, even if that was not the author's intention. it was not clear enough.

also, i have a huge issue with zack's character. honestly i'm super disappointed.

Ruin (Red Ridge Sinners MC #) by Caitlyn Dare

DNF @ 26%
⭐️

River Savage has been sheltered her whole life. Being the sister of the President for Savage Falls Sinners MC, has its benefit of security and protection, however, the privilege of going out, drinking and having regretful sex—takes a lot of scheming and effort. Further, it also deters members of the MC to even glance or flirt with her, knowing the wrath of her brother. This includes River’s longtime crush, Diesel Walker.

Diesel and River have a complicated relationship. When River finds her ex-boyfriend, Jax, cheating on her, Diesel inserts himself into the role of being her confidant. Unfortunately, 17-year-old River mistakes his big heart as an attraction and attempts to kiss him, but he denies her. Leaving River feeling unwanted and “immature” and Diesel worried on how he can makes things right again. Whilst the premise of their relationship is completely realistic, the author’s continual reference to their past without instigating an understanding in dialogue was very irritating. Every time an opportunity arose for Diesel and River to put a line in the sand, their individual dialogues show emotions of resentment, frustration and regret. Moreover, readers are puzzled even more with River’s remaining feelings still left for her ex-boyfriend.

The relationship between River and Jax lacked integrity. Despite the numerous recognitions of their past fallout, there is an explicit absence of explanation or understanding of their relationship. Instead of giving the audience flashbacks or private moments between the two, the initial introduction of their breakdown seems baseless and is hard to sympathise with.

As if readers are not put through the wringer enough with Diesel and Jax, Caitlyn Dare introduces Zach—a new recruit in the MC who everyone is expected to accept. His personality adheres to the stereotypical mysterious man of being rude, dismissive and unnecessarily intertwined with River’s drama. Honestly, the plot was unnecessarily ominous. The mystery and suspense of characters and their past seemed forced, and lacked foundation with the poor writing style used.

Whilst I understand the confusion of the plot is a consequence of the main character being an adolescent. The writing style did not facilitate or allow empathy from the audience. Internal monologue by River was little and instead primarily focused on her interactions with Jax, Diesel and Zach—which were corny, and filled with stereotypical one-liners.

Enabling readers to endure three man pine, yearn and sexually indulge for a 17-year-old girl was honestly disgusting. I could not bear to read even one more second of this novel.

Caitlyn Dare is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, especially when it comes to reverse Harem books, so I couldn't wait to have this in my grabby little hands! I was impressed with just how much River has grown since we first met her, and I feel there's an undercurrent of darkness in her I can't wait to see if CD explores that. The suspense element was done really well, and between the four of them there's so many secrets to uncover, and I can't wait for that!

As for the romance.. well, there really wasn't much of that besides some hate fucking courtesy of Zach and all his misconceptions. Even though he's a dick 98% of the time but he's also the one I like the most.🤷‍♀️ as for Jax and Diseal, I want to see them stand up and fight for River instead of playing with her heart. I really don't think they are meaning to, and have good intentions underneath it all, but our girl deserves to be loved out in the open.

That cliffhanger though had my jaw dropping, and yours will too! I can't wait for the next book!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**

As always I want to know all the secrets & this book just kept me guessing. Also that ending was insane! I should have realized it would be, I’ve read enough of their books to know I would be left hanging! Seriously such a great start to this series!! Plus I love love that we get to see Sadie Ray & her guys in this book, even if I’m not loving the distance between River & everyone.

There’s a lot going on in this book, all of the guys have secrets, River has a pretty big secret & everything seems oddly tense club wise. I need more. I can’t wait for the next book!

Every single character in this book was infuriating. Nobody made concrete decisions, they just kept doing one thing and then regretting it and then doing it again for almost 300 pages--it was an annoying, endless cycle that led to no character growth at all. Every single person in the main girl's life (I can't remember her name) seemed so awful to be around; her friends and family just added more stress and trauma to this girl's life that she already got from her love interests Everything about this book was completely terrible.

Yeah, so many things wrong with this book, primarily revolving around Zack. I must not be a fan of bullying as it seemed more like sexual assault and rape to me. River caved each time instead of slapping him or calling for help like I wanted her to. Diesel had the most potential, while Jax’s drama never got resolved.

All in all, this book wasn’t for me and I won’t plan to continue with this series.

*spoilers maybe*

i will continue on with the story, but there was some major issues i had with this first book. most of them being Zach. i’m not really a praise kink kinda gal - give me a little degradation. my issue on that whole part of that storyline was Zach was calling her “wh*re” “little wh*re” during seggs and telling everyone who would listen that she is nothing but a wh*re and essentially hates her and wants to make her miserable because… because… BECAUSE he thinks she slept with a few rich guys at a party (when she was actually SA’d). like bro, you’re really mad because you think a girl you don’t even know had sex?? 🫤 i’m hoping they elaborate more on that in the second book because his reason to hate her makes no sense and just makes me think the author wanted to add some bullying in because it’s a popular trope. other than that, Zach was just A LOT and River felt very much boring and one dimensional.

i’m still interested in the story but hope to see some major character growth from all characters.

Audio listen ! Even tho good reads says this is book two Amazon says it’s book one and so does audible. ANYWAYS a mystery packed RH with all the troubled bad boys . An age gap , best friend’s brother, bully romance and a guy who’s hanging on to dear life battling his demons. Now did I go into this knowing about the series before this ? No. Do I think you should read that series first yes . Have I yet? No. But there were lots of questions right off the bat that got answered in that series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

My whole life I've been treated like some innocent naïve girl. Shielded form the dark and dangerous world by big brother inhabits. But not any longer. Now, Savage Falls is my home, the Sinners MC, my family. I'm the new club princess, a burden I neither want nor need. Because I'm not as innocent as they all think. Not by a long shot. One of them broke my heart. One refuses to fix it. And one of them is slowly bringing me back to life. But together..... Together they might just ruin me.

This is the first book in the Red Ridge Sinners MC and it also a why choose dark enemies to lovers/bully romance. I am going to go ahead and tell you that you want to have the time to sit down and read this book because one you start you're not going to want to put it down at all. This is the story of River, Jax, Diesel, and Zach. All River has ever wanted is to be loved, feel like she is the sunshine in someone's life and worthy of that person. But when your big brother Rhett is the Vice President of the Red River Sinners, and warned all of them to stay away from you, he's really decreased your chances since basically no one ever is going to be good enough for her. He sure doesn't not feel like a biker is good enough for her. But River is a girl who lives for the thrill of life and really wants the feel of freedom in her life since she was always sheltered away from a lot of things. But she is slowly finding out how to do life the way she wants. e and Jax has always been close but they never moved out of being really good friends to anything else. But it isn't long until she sees him with a girl at the club draped all over him and realizes that her brother was right to warn her to stay away from his brother's at the MC. Then there is Diesel who is her best friends older brother but he sees her just like he sees his sister...a child. Zach is the newest member of the club and he remembers River but she does not remember her, and she does have this feeling that he feels really familiar. Zach is the guy that would be friends with darkness and he is super super broody. I do mean so so broody too. Throw in one girl and three smoking hot bikers and you have a read that your not going to put down. After all one shows her how a Queen should be treated, pushed away and pulled back in time and time again by another, and treated with hatred by another. These guys have a lot to make up to her for for sure and you are going to love reading every second of how this book goes. And the ending....I just have no words. I loved this book so much. Fell for some of the characters harder than the others and just am in the best book hangover right now. Do not miss Ruin or you are missing something amazing.

I Loved Being Ruined!!

River is the acclaimed club princess of the MC and has just returned from boarding school and had a life changing event in her life that she doesn’t let anyone see now that she’s back. She has three men in her life but none of them can give her what she needs and desires. Each of them bring something different to the table. Jax is a prospect and had a relationship with her that she thought would be forever until she sees him with a club girl and now, he’s pushing her further away, Diesel is her best friend’s older brother who thinks he’s not good enough for her and Zach is the new bad boy in the clubhouse and knows how to work her.

This isn’t a book for those that think love is a one-person, one-time thing. As we saw with Sadie Ray and her three men in the previous book you never know how people can mesh together. There are secrets abound in this book that left me with a need to know what will happen next. Yes, this is a cliffhanger and has me wanting for more.

I have loved this author’s work and I truly can’t wait for the next book in this series.

So. Many. Questions. I have so many questions after reading Ruin like what's going on with Jax and Zach....why is Diesel so nice...can I have all 3?

Time to get serious. Ruin is River's story. We know her from the Savage Falls Sinners Series. She's the younger sister to the hot headed Rhett. If you haven't read that series yet...don't walk run and get your copy. It's so good.

River sweet sweet River. Love her but she really is sweet and innocent. You can tell she's been sheltered her whole life. The MC life really isn't for her but damn I love seeing her in it. She reminds me of a bird learning to fly. This girl is going to fly and I'm telling you I see her character progressing amazingly through out this series.

Let's get to the guys:
Diesel, Jax and Zach YUM!!!! They are all completely opposite to River and eachother. One is a total sweetheart and the other two have some secrets I can't wait to figure out what they are.

Caitlyn Dare...I want to be mad at you ladies but I've come to terms with you being the queens of cliffhangers and this one was a big one! I cant even be mad about it.

This is going to be my favorite series of Caitlyn Dare to date...I can feel it. Ruin was the perfect start to a new series. I was completely drawn to this book once I read the first page. I'm counting down until book 2 releases! I'm completely obsessed with River and her guys but Zach is mine...I claimed him first.

*Ruin is book 1 in the Red Ridge Sinners Series. It is not a standalone and does end on a cliffhanger

Caitlyn Dare has done it again with RUIN! After the Savage Falls Sinners MC series, she pulls me right back in her web with the Red Ridge Sinners MC where Rhett’s baby sister River gets hot and heavy with three equally gorgeous yet dangerous men. The new comer hot as sin Zach sounds do dark and menacing that I think he steals the spotlight easily. On the other hand, Diesel and Jax are the missing pieces to River’s broken soul so there really is no choosing; hence #whychoose🔥🔥🔥 After reading Caitlyn Dare books, I start wondering why can’t real life be like that? Anyways, the new series seem to have lots of secrets and deceits to be uncovered, and it will definitely be my pleasure to witness them every step of the way❤️ I hope the second installment come out sooner than later.

Kind of disappointed Caitlyn.

I enjoyed Savage and I wanted to see River's story develope, but in Savage, Sadie took advantage of River, she never treated her like an adopted sister. In fact she used her and you don't think River would have abandoned feelings about that. Sadie pushing her away? And now you have Sadie trying to be friend her, sister her to even when all she does is go after her brother. Where is River's feelings of resentment? Why not have River tell off Sadie? What, she's not allowed to be angry? It's a real feeling and you keep making River into a doormat. It's ok to have River tell Sadie "Since you like to "fick" my brother, stay on your damn back and do it instead of acting like you care about me." Sadie is selfish and only thinks about directly what affects her. River needs to call her out on it.

River also needs to call out her brother's crap too. He demands for her to be at the MC, but he doesn't interact with her, he doesn't talk to her, but he can call the shots? River needs to threaten his relationship with Sadie. Demand some stuff from him. He can not continue to have Sadie and command his sister too.

I just think when you write out this series, that you need to add more to River. Can you honestly tell me that you let men walk all over you? Put some gumption in your writing girl, give your readers the intent for some Sassiness.

Amount of sex 3 / 5
How explicit are the sex scenes 4 / 5
Story 4.5 / 5
Overall: 4.5 / 5

Ruin is the first book in the Red Ridge Sinners series, which is a spin-off of the Savage Falls Sinners MC series written by author Caitlyn Dare. It tells the story of River Savage, and I’ve been dying to read her story ever since she was introduced in Savage, the first book in the Savage Falls series. So, as soon as Ruin appeared on my Kindle, I dropped everything and dove right in.

River is Rhett’s sister, and she went to an all-girls school before moving to Savage Falls. She’s been very unlucky in finding love, and many believe that she lived a sheltered life. However, I knew there had to be more to her story! First, there was Jax “Pitbull” Pitman, one of the club’s prospects. Then, there was Diesel Walker, her brother’s best friend, and last, we were introduced to Zach Stone, who’s a bit of a mystery, and has a chip on his shoulder.

Ruin was an exciting page-turner and well worth the wait! Not much could have pried me away, and the cliffhanger nearly did me in! It’s a definite add to your TBR list!

Since many of the characters from the original series are featured in the Red Ridge Sinners series, I highly recommend reading it first.

NOPE - Sexual assault, and sexual shaming

Another story where rape is supposed to be the start of a relationship and because she's wet, even if she says "no" it means that was consent, which is the excuse every rapist has used since the dawn of time. I liked the first trilogy but this one is sexual assault glorified as a relationship, which is worse because there's hints that she's the victim of a rape at her previous school; a fact she has kept hidden from all of her friends and family like most rape victims do.

And the whole, 'she couldn't help herself' just boils my blood. This poor girl hasn't got her head straight from the first rape being hinted at, and a lot of victims think that their attack was their fault and they deserve to be treated like trash. The guy who's snuck into her room and is raping her is a piece of filth -- a mentally, emotionally, and a physically abusive piece of scum. There is no redeeming this sack of poo masquerading as a piece of humanity. I normally like this author but this book is way over the line. I only made it to 33% where he'sn snuck into the house and stolen up to her room to pin her down and call her a whore and a tease and otherwise heap physical and emotional mental abuse on her so he can get his rocks off because he's angry at the world and she's too tiny to stop him. Can you tell I'm furious, I'm livid.

3.5 ⭐️

I feel like maybe I should have read Sadie’s story first to get some more background but it didn’t say that I needed to. Some pieces just didn’t click into place.

River is a 17 year old who recently moved to a new town. Her stepfather is the president of the MC and her brother Rhett is the VP. It’s a little confusing because a war or something just ended and 2 MCs have joined together. Like I said, probably should have read the other series first. Oh well.

River has history with Jax and diesel is her friends older brother. Then in walks a new guy Zach who apparently knows River but she doesn’t remember or know him.

River isn’t a strong FMC and the guys are quite annoying. Diesel is sweet but says she’s too young for him and constantly pushes her away but then later has no problems kissing her.

Jax and her “dated” for like a month and he pushed her away by hooking up with a club whore.

Zach is the wild card. He takes her virginity at the back of a club (she doesn’t tell him she’s a virgin, he thinks she’s some whore) He constantly calls her a dirty whore and is just a shithead to her.

I don’t know, these guys annoy me 😂 but I’m gonna read the next book because I need to know if Rhett actually shot Zach or not

I've been excited for this book for a couple of months now and it definitely didn't disappoint! River is a side character in the Savage Falls Sinners MC series that I read last year and I was honestly hoping she would get her own series as well.

I was kept hooked from the very beginning and enjoyed the character development throughout the book. There are a lot of secrets at play right now, which definitely had me on the edge the entire time that I was reading the book.

Ruin does end on a cliffhanger so if you're someone who doesn't enjoy those, I would definitely be aware of that. Definitely can't wait to read Reap!

Wild, intense and full of secrets, Ruin is a thrilling read.

Fast paced and action packed, full of so many twists and turns I continually found myself questioning everything I though I knew about these characters and their pasts, this book had me hooked from the very first page. With some heartbreaking feels and red hot steam, this book is an emotional roller-coaster and I can't wait for what's to come when more secrets are spilled and truths revealed.

Weak FMC with no backbone who caves and loses all thoughts when one of the MMCs merely glances her way. No plot, just this girl setting herself up to be emotionally hurt again and again and somehow I still finished it. Also will never forgive this author for revealing that the FMC was nearly gang raped and one of the MMCs who WITNESSED IT misread what happened to her and repeatedly called her and treated her like a whore for it (angry that he was into a "whore"), and then when he was finally told the truth, he didn't apologize or show any remorse, but chose to quickly move past it by taking his turn with her. I CANNOT.

I had hope for this book, the authors writing wasn’t the problem itself but the plot line and lack of character development, things were repetitive to the point I was still reading for a slight change, I didn’t complete this book. Stopping just before the end, it didn’t seem worth it to read the same insults and ‘I’m not a child-‘ conversations again. It wasn’t the story for me, and I’m not sure if the series improves along the line but I won’t say it was a terrible read, just quite disappointing and honestly a bit sad.

Caitlyn Dare slayed book 1 in The Red Ridge Sinner’s MC series. I have been awaiting River’s book since meeting her in the Savage Falls MC series. This girl deserves everything her heart can desire. I felt so much for her characters and the stuff she had to deal with…Gah, I loved this book. I look forward to the next book in the instalment. That cliffy had me shook. Caitlyn Dare came ready to slay and delivered an amazing book to what i can foresee as a phenomenal series.

One boy rejected her.

can they work together or will everything crumble?”

already I am so intrigued by the tropes, the characters, the plot, the dirty talking tatted bikers. i’m here for it all.

We were introduced to river in Savage Falls MC & I wasn’t sure about her. She was sweet & everything so I wasn’t sure how she would fit in this series but dang I loved this series.

River was a great heroine. She was sweet & just wanted a real family. People that loved and accepted her. I will say she isn’t a badass heroine, she wasn’t in your face & sometimes I felt like she was passive but she was still a great heroine to read.

Diesel was interesting. I understood why he was nervous & stand offish.

Zach was 🔥🔥🔥🔥By far my favorite hero I’ve read in awhile. He has everything. The brooding, asshole, touch her and I’ll kill you vibe.

Jax did make me mad lol I know he has some deep dark secrets but dang I wanted to slap him in the back of the head & knock some sense into him lol

The spice was great in this book. Especially with Zach, River & Jax. Zach has this ability to make everyone feel at ease & accept themselves, give themselves over to the pleasure & have no regrets or embarrassment.

This book we are just learning about everyone and there are a lot of secrets to figure out.

One thing I can say is everyone in rivers life treats her like she is breakable & while I understand being protective, she needs to be able to live her life & make her own decisions.
