That’s why I’d move mountains, dry seas, and hydrate the desert if it made her happy. She brought goodness to the world. It was only right that I made it hers, along with the two tiny beauties that shared her hazel eyes and perfect smile. For them, I’d do whatever. For them, I’d become whoever.
He’s a protector.
And, a far cry from the menace they’ve labeled him.
He’s just misunderstood. That’s why I’d climb the highest mountain, cross the widest seas, and conquer the desert if it brought us closer together. He brought so much wholesomeness to the world. It was only right that I made him a part of mine, along with my two minis that shared my story and sentiments. Because of him, we’d found happiness.Because of him, we’d found home.

DNF at 60%. Good god, this book is a no. I wanted to like this so bad, but the author’s writing didn’t work for me at all.
Luca is about this guy (obvi named Luca) who is released from prison after 8 years. The heroine, Ever, is staying with her best friend (Luca’s sister) after running away with her 2 kids from her abusive husband. Ever goes with the sister to pick Luca up from the prison, and it’s literally instalove from there. Like they are having sex, talking long-term, discussing him paying for her finances, all of that because they made googly eyes at each other.
Absolutely unrealistic from a woman who stated she was still traumatized from her marriage. She put up a fight for like 2 seconds before falling into Luca’s arms. Honestly, him trying to take care of her was not sexy like it was presented to be.
The biggest critique is that this author uses too many damn words. Like describes every minuscule, mundane thing for every damn scene in this book. My eyes were GLAZING. It was absolutely unnecessary and slowed the book down.
The sex was hella cringe. My lady bits didn’t tingle, nothing.
I’m very surprised this has as many positive reviews as it does. Those reviews had me excited to try this…….and to say I felt bamboozled was an understatement. This author is going in the “never again” pile.
Things to Expect: cringey instalust/instalove; too damn long, too many words, not enough substance
TRIGGER WARNINGS: domestic abuse/violence; mentions of murder
I don't have to read anymore about seeds, delusional/fake independent living, the love-bombing and food exchange between mouths while kissing (I'm still traumatized). 😫
"My frame towered over hers as I leaned down to stick my tongue down her throat. I wanted to taste every last drop of the food she consumed." -Luca (ch.13) after they literally just finished chewing their meals.
Me to Luca:
Also, the amount of details for the most mundane and unnecessary things were driving me insane. Some of the sentences alone felt long-winded. I could tell it was trying to reach a specific word count goal.
The only reason I didn't lower my rating is because I read this in Khia's voice in my head and got a good chortle:
"I’d bet my last dollar that he was holding something vicious between his thighs and after so many years in prison, I was hoping to be the first meal on his menu. I wanted him to split me in two and suck on my private parts like oysters during fine dining."
😂 Y'all know that one Khia voice meme where she's reading something wild from a letter or whatever? 😭 I was in tears.
- If you’re looking for a romance with BDE and a story that gives dark romance vibes because the characters are obsessed with each other, the mmc gives off touch her and you die energy, is a taaaad bit controlling (understatement of the year lol but i LOVED IT) and a man that stands ten toes down for the fmc..this is the book for you!! I typically love soft romances so I was really surprised by how much I LOVED this one. Literally ATE IT UP. Lol the fmc literally tells her to “shut the F up” and usually that would make me want to throw the book & be done with it but for some reason I loved it haahahaha. - This book got me out of my book hangover and I’ll be forever grateful!! The love between these characters was fast but it felt like that deep all encompassing type of love that you only find once in a lifetime. I don’t know how this book doesn’t have more hype! I also loooved how it felt like a slow burn in a way even though the feelings for the fmc & mmc happened so fast. The fact that they don’t kiss until well into the book was perfect pacing for me. - I‘ve already bought the second book! So much happens in this story and I was hooked from start to finish. This was the first book I’ve read by this author and it won’t be my last!
This was like the worst book I've read all year. Like genuinely confused on the rating on here– and its making me feel like a hater or something LOL. (Which I am not i promise, I literally had so suffer to get through this though)
First off, the writing was just bad. The story was choppy, missing quotations, and just really needed an editor. Usually I am able to ignore it but..it kept getting worse. I mean random time skips, flat characters, the main character apparently being black but having dirty blonde hair...be ABSOLUTELY so serious. The main character gave strong "I'm just so unique and different but love the struggle" vibes and I...am so disappointed :( 450 pages of NOTHING.
Second, and this is just personal opinion– I do not like instant love tropes. Where is the struggle? Where is the drama? Why are we just instantly in love???? Pass. There was no chemistry whatsoever. He gets out after being in the clink for 8 years and...he just has all the money and cars in the world? I get that his brother held it down but its just SO unrealistic. I was hoping for more on him getting back on his feet and finding love but this was like...my mans wasn't even out for 10 minutes and hes in love?? Play with someone else for real. Be SO serious.
Lastly, and again this is just something i dislike in ANY book...constant mentioning of real life celebrities. "I feel like SZA is just constantly singing about my life" GIRL HUHHHHHH? Why is half a page SZA lyrics??? Did i suddenly end up on the genius page to read lyrics?? No I didn't. So why do i have to sit and read 3 stanzas of the song? Ya'll i couldn't take it!! Whew goodness. And it constantly kept happening. Just put a playlist in the beginning. I do not want to sit and read lyrics...it just makes the book so unserious. I also read to escape reality not to be put back in it. And since the story was so unrealistic this did not aid the book in any capacity.
I obviously did not pick this up to be this harsh, (and usually I am not but good lord) but I wanted a good romance book. Instead..I got whatever I just read.
Well, I finally tumbled down the Eisenberg rabbit hole and I regret nothing. Luca was everything and then some. He was intentional, he was protective, and he oozed BDE. Even after eight years in prison, Luca is a man who is used to getting what he wants. The minute he sees Ever sleeping in his sister’s passenger seat, he knew he had to have her. Ever is on the run from her abusive boyfriend and hiding out in her hometown. With the help of her mama and her bestie Lyric, she’s trying to rebuild her life and get back to the Ever she use to be for herself and for her girls. But, Luca is throwing a wrench in her plans because, a relationship is nowhere on her list of things to do. Try as she might, Ever can’t fight her growing attraction to Luca. So, she throws caution to the wind and lets him lead her, Essence, and Emory to the new life and happiness they deserve. Now, she just has to hope Dewayne’s crazy azz lets her live long enough to enjoy it. Who knew a two hour road trip to pick up her bestie’s brother from prison would turn into the HEA she wasn’t looking for?!!! I loved Luca. He was the perfect mix of gentleman and thug. I loved the supportive parents, siblings, and the loving friendships. The family dynamics were definitely a vibe. Now, let me go find a corner to meditate so I can gather my patience for Lyric. I’ve heard all kinds of things about this heffa and none of them were good.
Man, I loved this story and the development of Ever & Luca’s Relationship. I’m also a sucker for any story that includes the children…Emorey & Essence were great secondary characters…. Now, we need Lyric & Laike’s stories. Maybe Grey will tell us in the next book if they found Scar.
If you’ve read any of Grey Huffington’s books you know that she has a way of developing a FULL story with few words! Well this time she gave us over 100k of them b$@!es and she did the d@mned thing! Luca starts off with Ever fleeing an abusive relationship in the middle of the night with her two young daughters. She’s finally had enough and is ready to start fresh. With only $200 to her name, she doesn’t know how she’s going to provide a better life for her daughters but from the moment she arrives to her hometown, her bff Lyric and her parents are that safe haven for her. And just when she thinks things can’t get any better, she takes a ride with her friend to pick up her brother from prison after completing an 8 year bid and let’s just say that neither Luca nor Ever knew how life was about to change for them! Bump this book to the TOP of your TBR list! The way Luca “VBDE” Eisenburg elevated Ever and her girls’ life was magical! I mean!!!!!! EVERYTHING!!! I hope we get to see more from this crew and get a book about Lyric and Laike!
I had such high expectations from this book because MOST of the reviews were 5 star. Unfortunately, I did not like this book.
✔️Friends brother trope ✔️Single parent trope ✔️Abusive ex ✔️Financial problems
One thing I didn’t like is that her struggle wasn’t shown, it was shown in the start (A LITTLE) but there was a time skip and all of a sudden she’s going great which is great but I wanted to see the struggle and how she got back on her feet etc etc.
The girls backstory was sad and was relatable to me but I didn’t feel connected to the story. It felt like word vomit. Words thrown around and all jumbled.
The guy is fresh outta jail after 8 MF years. That’s fine tbh. Idc if he was in jail but bro was fucking weird n pissed me off.
Bro made her delete a guys number, went all alpha male on her AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THEY WERE MEETING! now I’m down for the guy being possessive n shi but my brotha, u just met me today. Calm your saggy ass balls and back tf away. Like tf?
AND WHEN SHE TOLD HIM SHE’S NOT READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP, HE GOES ON AND GETS ANOTHER GIRLS NUMBER INFRONT OF HER AFTER HE JUST MADE HER DELETE A GUYS NUMBER?!?! WHAT THE FAWK?
The problem is, the guy and girl have only met twice and all of a sudden they r in love? The next day after they meet (the whole number delete scene) he’s asking her out and she’s agreeing to it.
Like y’all don’t even have the ‘C’ for chemistry yet. Anyway, she goes on the date and they r discussing living together and kids and paying rents n shi….??? Get to know each others full name first……???
There was NO chemistry, NO SEXUAL TENSION.
OH AND…..the girl didn’t want to live with him and didn’t want any money from him, didn’t want him to pay rents because she had just gotten out of a relationship where the guy controlled her with money, she was dependent on the guy and she didn’t want to be dependent on anyone again.
She made this very clear and yet, 3 chaps later, he’s getting her a car, getting her gifts n shi…getting an apartment and all. Like didn’t we just discuss u don’t want that?
Last but not the least, im a SUCKERRRR for pregnancy trope but I hate hate when the pregnancy comes outta no FUCKINH where.
These two fuvk and all of a sudden he’s a wolf in heat and wants a kid from her when she already has two ?? Like the book wasn’t shit enough, y’all decide to add a pregnancy to this shit. Like what the fuxk bro what the fuvk.
Now she’s pregnant, 3 months after she met him OH ANF YES ITS BEEN 3 months cuz there’s a bajlion time skips:)
IM SOOO DONEEEEEEE!!!!!

Thank you Taima @shadesnpages for recommending me Luca! ✧˚ ༘ ⋆。♡˚
Look, if you want a romance book with a hero who is DOWN BAD FOR THE HEROINE, read Luca. As soon as he sees her for the firs time, Luca wants her in his life forever. When he finds out she has two daughters? He literally thinks "well I guess I have two children now" HE'S READY TO COMMIT. HE'S READY TO GET DOWN ON ONE KNEE AND GIVE HER FOREVER. I was giggling so much while reading it.
I love the Eisenbergs SO MUCH. The whole family is so amazing and their different personalities make you want to keep reading about them. I'm literally so excited to read the next books now that I've met the characters. Luca is the big, grumpy older brother. He was recently released from prison after 8 years there and he's ready to get back into his life. He really never expected his younger sister's best friend to catch his eye. But OH BOY. The moment they meet is fated. THEY'RE SO SOULMATES CODED. Definitely soulmatism trope in this book!
His relationship with Ever's two daughters is adorable. He's so caring and cute with them? Gives them everything, buys them everything, wants them to see him as a dad to them. I love him so much, how easy it was to enter this relationship and make it a forever one. He knew and he wanted Ever by his side, but he also understood it was going to take a little bit after what happened to Ever and her abusive ex. I love the communication between them! Luca was very direct and he wanted Ever to understand what was going through his mind, the way he wanted her to trust him and wanted her to give this relationship a chance.
Also expect A LOT OF STEAMY MOMENTS. OOOF MAN! This was hot af. Grey Huffington knows how to write a steamy scene. Luca and Ever are dynamite, yup. ⋆。°✩
So, if you enjoy small towns, single mom trope, sister's best friend, hero who buys everything for the heroine and her kids (he even gives her a card and tells her the pin for her to buy anything she needs).... read LUCA RIGHT NOW.
This book gave “& my man thank you to my mannnnn”😩🥰 This was unrealistic af but even so I ATE IT UP. Where are the men like LUCA ? Come find me sir.
This man came home from a 8 year bid and & did more then the men who been free could do. Ever kinda gomn but it was understandable being that her bd wasn’t shxt. If I ever have children I want a village like Ever. 🤣
My iks with this book Ms. Huffington yeeennn had to have that much excessive internal dialogue damn. I found myself skipping pages. & the SZA lyrics ? BFFR We didn’t need all that ma’am. I will definitely be reading Lyrics book next though.
Unfortunately, 67% of the way through, I've decided to DNF this book. There are many reasons and things about it that are leading me to this decision. But one of the main reasons is that I'm looking for a bit more substance and depth in the stories I'm reading right now and this book just isn't giving. I was hoping that with a premise of a group of brothers who make their lively hoods by robbing and stealing, and a woman running from the demons of her past, that there would be some exploration into their worlds, but the story has just devolved into a chaotic and directionless romance with little authentic chemistry and weak motivations.
Add that to the fact that I'm getting tired of reading how Ever is wants to be cautious and take her time with Luca because she doesn't want to put herself in the same position she was in with her children's father. Where she's beholden to him because of the financial restraints he had on her. Just for her to turn around and literally do the same exact thing with Luca after only knowing him for two days. It just makes no sense.
It really sucks because the covers for these books are beautiful and would have looked really good in my monthly wrap up. But I just can't bring myself to force my way through this when I'm not enjoying it even a little bit. We left hate reading back in 2017.
My goodness, why didn't anybody tell me how good this book was? When I tell you this story had me in a chokehold the entire time, it was so good. I've read so many books, and out of all of them, I think I may only have one or two book baes. And now, Luca is now one of them. Luca was a gentle giant. He was a protector, he was a lover and a motherloving sweetheart. Whether it's his siblings, parents or Ever, he goes hard for them. And the way this man stepped up to being a daddy to Ever's girls. Wow, just wow. Ever and Luca…another love at first sight if ever there was one. Immediately taken with one another after meeting. I was disappointed in Luca for taking it so easy on Dewayne. Yes, yes I know what Luca did…But I wanted torture. I wanted a tub filled with water and a plugged in hair dryer or something. (I promise, I'm not a psychopath, I just match energy 🤷🏾♀️) But this was an absolutely excellent story. My first full length by this author and I was NOT disappointed. Can't wait for the siblings' stories. 10/10
4.5✨- *Audiobook* This was a cute love story. Luca was a dream and beyond Ever’s imagination. After fleeing from a domestic situation Ever and her girls are ready for new beginnings. I wanted Ever to win so bad because she deserved happiness. Luca was just what she needed; he showed her what a real man was and I loved it. There were a few things that took me by surprise but overall I enjoyed the book - though it was a little too detailed at times. The narrators were pretty good, also.
I saw so many 4 and 5 star reviews for this that I was so excited to read it. However, what I just read was not a 4 or 5 star read at all. I don’t understand how there aren’t more low star reviews. I feel liked I’ve just been catfished lmao. I don’t feel like I have much to say other than that there was not a single thing I liked about this book. The relationship was insta love/lust, and yet nothing happened between Luca and Ever until like 52%, there was no development between them, I didn’t feel their connection at all. I didn’t like Luca and hated his approach to life and women and Ever in particular. He wasn’t charming or endearing, he was pushy and just a bit overwhelming. I also didn’t like Ever and how she claimed she was healing and moving on from her toxic relationship yet she jumped right into another one with Luca. She didn’t really put up much of a fight for herself and just let Luca bulldoze her into decisions he wanted. And personally for me, the worst thing about this was the writing. I hated it. The dialogue was cringey, I ended up skimming through most of the sex scenes because they were just hard to read, and the writing was almost enough to stop me reading. It read like a debut novel due to the excessive and unnecessary details which made the story drag and the amount of grammatical and punctuation errors there were. If the writing was better, and it was just the characters that I didn’t like, I may have continued with this series hoping to find better characters along the way. But I just can’t put myself through more of this writing and the dialogue between these characters. Actual rating is probably more like 1.5 but I feel too harsh to rate that on the app given that some of my dislike came from personal preference.
I love Luca 😍😍😍 That man knew what he wanted and wasted no time making Ever his 😊 I swear this man needs to teach a class on ‘how to be the perfect man’ If Luca was real, these men would not stand a chance ❤️❤️❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I can’t give it 5 stars cause there too much I don’t like about this.
After reading this book as Second time I still only enjoy the beginning half of the book. When Luca and Ever get to together I blinked and the book is done. The book is too wordy, too mundane, very unrealistic especially with the timeline.
I understand this is fiction it’s not going to be realistic but when I read about Black love or love in general I want to feel like this could happen to me or the people around me personally. Sometimes not all the time.
The timeline is so ridiculous. If we got to experience the 2 months that she didn’t really go much into detail about she just mentioned how “They fucked in every corner and position in the house” so 2 months was already taken from us.
Luca also made me cringe from time to time. Especially when he was trying to pursue Ever. Like he acted like he was king shit and he just know everything. The way he acted about Ever turn him down was very Childish and brought his attractiveness to the ground for me. Ever is no better either she turn Luca down saw how it affected him a day later she’s like “Luca I’m ready” like what? And the sex was so cringe I had to skip once again cause it was just so bad.
Yet after all the things I do not like about the book which is a lot I still find myself thinking about this book from time to time and found myself re-reading it.

Alright! Ya'll done made me a believer! 😂 I am officially on the Luca bandwagon now! This man! 😍The way he ate that time, seemingly unfazed at all, was amazing to me! He would do it again to protect his family! Meeting Ever as soon as he is out, was nothing but fate! Neither stood a chance, as they were both mesmerized by the other, when their gazes collided! Luca was ready to move full speed ahead, but Ever had pause. Rightfully so with what she had just gone through. But she quickly got some act right, to get her man. The way Luca catered to Ever no questions asked was just beautiful. Then how he claimed the girls.... swooning! Their connection happened quick but was genuine and full of love. Lyric! Now that is a friend! The way she opened up her heart and her home to Ever and the girls was the most beautiful display of sisterly love! That Laike is a damn mess, but I liked him! I'm certain he will get into some trouble later on in the series. Looking forward to learning more of the infamous Eisenberg's! 👍👍👍
This book was just not my cup of tea. Initially, I really liked Luca but between the wordiness and the overly obnoxious personality Luca ended up taking on as things progressed, I just couldn't stand the book anymore. It was hard to focus on the actual story most times because of the unnecessary details like it was so excessive and I found myself for the first time skipping entire paragraphs.
When it came for the connection between Luca and Ever it felt more like lust than anything else. There was no connection between the two of them. All the unnecessary words could've been used to create a connection between them, but instead we are stuck with "UMMMMMMMMM" AND "Breast Mommy."
If it had not been for my friend this book would have been an easy DNF.
There were so many WTH moments in this book. Dude out of prison and having unprotected sex put me off. I’d want a medical report. HepC etc in institutions. Ever spends the entire book talking about being independently. At no point is she paying for rent, childcare, or transportation.
I just stopped at them planning a wedding. She has a husband! His body has not been found. So shouldn’t she have to file for divorce or something. These are big time criminals but too stupid for words.
This was such an amazing love story!! ☺️I loved Ever & Luca relationship so much. Luca is the definition of a real man. I loved the relationship he had with her kids from the beginning. I’m eager to read Lyrics story. ❤️
I loved Luca and Ever, I want more of them obviously. But the whole family dynamic, accepting the girls, just having BDE from the beginning was everything! I love how he was straightforward and real throughout the whole book. I loved Ever honesty and I love how Lyric supported them. Lyric for real was a supporter and I loved that for them.
DNF at 55% Guys I tried, I really really tried to like this but I just don’t. The first chapter was were the problem started for me. I kept waiting for the first chapter to end and it just kept going. There’s only so much detail that you can go into about certain things before I personally don’t care anymore!
There was so much repetition in this book when it came to Ever like girl I get it but do you realize you’re going against what you keep brining up. You are fine with “dating” Luca after just meeting within a week but think it’s crazy for him to buy you jewelry. Oh please grow up! And why was Ever wearing the most basic outfits known to man! The woman literally only wore one color. I started to give her my own outfits because it was just so annoying.
Luca was cool until he wasn’t! His POVs were amazing and kept me wanting to read (especially) after all of Ever’s long POVs but some of his decisions were questionable. Their first “date” pissed me off because he planned all of this out for them to immediately have sex in his truck!!! Y’all couldn’t wait till after dinner??? Hell y’all couldn’t wait to get inside!! Y’all were in his driveway and steps away from the house!! AND YALL ARE THIRTY YEARS OLD COME ON NOW. The author went into all this detail for nothing when it came to him planning out the date. And I was super done when the author wrote out that he spit on his member during sex! Never in all the smut books I have read has a man spit on it. That’s TOO much detail I’m (not) sorry.
The scenes where they were singing the lyrics of certain songs and the actual lyrics were used full on was not the best writing choice. If I wanted song lyrics of actual songs then I would just listen to the actual song. Then you have the grammatical errors throughout the book that made certain parts really hard to read. I thought it was me until I realized I wasn’t the problem and the book actually was.
The author deciding to make her a mom but never really spending time with her daughters was sad because the little scenes with the girls were so heartfelt and adorable. I hate when authors do this -- just don't even have the character have kids at that point.
I wish this had been better because I wanted so badly to read Lyric’s & Laike’s book.
The last thing I want to rant about is why in the world is this book 30 dollars for a paperback and around 40 something for a hardcover!?!! Gotta love my kindle because that is truly insane especially given the quality of the book.
This book was way longer than it needed to be. I am definitely in the minority on this book. I did not find this story romantic. I cannot understand why anyone would want a Luca in their life. If a woman is saying she wants to have some control over her life, why would a man take it upon himself to tell that woman what she wants and proceed to do the opposite of everything she has expressed to him. Given that she has only known this man a few days, I found it alarming that he was telling her what to wear, where to work, what to drive and where to live. He was very manipulative to me and made this book hard to get through. All of this was unreal. I also was bored while reading, as others have said the author often provides unnecessary details that really made the story drag. Unfortunately overall this was a disappointing read, not sure if I will continue with this series or author.
I wasn’t feeling Luca. I struggled to feel their “strong connection “ beyond the words on the pages. I have read a couple of books by this author and after reading this one, I came to the conclusion that this author likes to add a lot of details that I think are unnecessary. Is it to make the book longer? Would it make a big difference if those details were left out? It annoyed me a little bit.
I was bored. So many unnecessary details that made me struggled to get through it. I just didn't want to force myself into reading it so I decided to dnf'ed instead.
Lawd I absolutely LOVE LUCA! "Big, very big, dick energy seeped from his pores. It was apparent in the way he walked. It was apparent in the way he talked. It was apparent in his silence." The way Ever described this man on her first day meeting him just let me know his energy and spirit were everything! Ever was finally breathing clearly before she met Luca. She was no longer dependent upon a man that diminished her worth. She found a village that was helping her love, protect, and cherish her two baby girls. Upon meeting Luca her air changed again and she was no longer thinking or breathing clearly because this man she didn't even know was consuming her. She was scared because she didn't want to ever feel the way she felt in the relationship with her children's father. Luca, mfing Luca. I loved everything about him. His protective nature over his family. His quiet, thoughtful, observant spirit. His ability to trust himself. Upon meeting Ever, he knew he was going to make her his. I thought he was nonchalant or even calculating, but no he talked when necessary, observed actions, and acted accordingly. He was not persuaded by the fact that Ever had two children, no he immediately felt like he had the opportunity to expand his family quicker than he originally thought. This man, He was everything! His first interaction with sweet baby Emorey was the sweetest thing and my heart!!!! Essence was calm and had his same quiet, observant demeanor and he attached to her just as quickly. The WAY he loved the entire family and bossed them up in a matter of days was giving husband vibes!!! I really appreciated that his goal was to take away Ever's insecurities and to make her feel like baddest boss. He wasted no time showing his intentions, securing his wife and family because when you know, you know!!!!
I was once a single divorced mom of four. This book spoke to my heart. We all deserve a Luca💓
It is 00:22 and I just finished this book. Sleep is for suckers anyway but I'm just enough of a sucker to not start book 2💀.
I hear about people raving about books all the time but after reading this - I can see why it was raved about on Goodreads. Not sure if this makes sense but Grey's books feel like the covers look.
Disclaimer: there's a lot of explaining in the beginning - like even the most mundane thing is added to the book but honestly this being Grey's first 100k word book I can't even be mad. Especially since I would rather have more details than less.
The dirty talk Luca was doing should come with a fucking label first n foremost cause I was tired of blushing. Loved Ever and how she let herself experience love and letting herself be loved softly.
If I'm being honest though the kids got me in this one 😭 if there's a crotch goblin in a book vest believe Imma give it a read. I just think sometimes the kids are hilarious in books 😂.
PSA we need Ken's story. I'm smelling lyric being involved there.
Disappointing. This author described every single thing in too much detail. I don’t need a step by step of cooking, running a bath, etc. Story of falling in love over a couple weeks wasn’t realistic and boring.
