Rate this book
Macie

I was supposed to be on a mission to start a human settlement in a distant galaxy. Instead I’ve crash landed on the wrong planet alongside a team of alien warriors.

They’re the least of our worries as we deal with our shattered ship and our injured crew.

But then their leader proudly hands me a drawing. It’s, uh, me. It’s us, in a very… ahem… compromising position.

When I said I was excited about first contact, this wasn’t the type of contact I had in mind. But the image is in my head now, and it isn’t going away…

Ryle

Fate has blessed me! My condemned life was spared, and now I’ve found my mate against all the odds in the universe.

We don’t share a language, and her customs are confounding, but my destiny is tied to her, now.

When she discovers the dangers of this wild planet, she decides to risk her life saving her friends. I won’t let anything happen to her, no matter how badly she wants to jump face-first into peril.

But the looming threats may be bigger than any of us realize…

*3.5* I fell out of the sky and fell in love with an alien.

In an ocean of alien men/human women, sci-fi romances out there, this one was better than most. Yes, it was somewhat predictable and generic at times, but I still had a good time reading it.

Highlights
Language barrier
Tail & unique peen
No OW/OM drama
Fated mates
Learning to kiss
All the shared art
Ryle is adorable to the extreme

I will send her more pictures of my parts this evening. Whether they arouse her or they make her laugh makes no difference to me, as long as they bring her some form of uplift and cheer.

Should we really be teaching aliens that it’s ok to send dick pics? He’s so flippin cute being proud about making her happy though!! 😂

Ends with a hfn but I wanted a hea, and to see them in the future!

4.5 stars rounded up because I keep thinking about this and smiling all weekend

Some of the components of this alien romance aren’t the freshest (crashing on a planet, fated mates, language barrier) but at the same time, this book presented them in a fun and interesting way so I was never bored. Big bonus, the main characters were wonderful, refreshing, and adorable. The heroine (Macie) is an anthropologist who signed up to be part of a (mostly female) contingent to a human settlement on another planet where the expectation is they’ll form families and have babies. Except the book starts with a crash and all the pain and confusion of not being where you thought you were. Then they learn there are big aliens also on the planet. Ryle (H) is part of a group of horned and tailed, colorful male aliens who also crashed. Macie initiates contact and leads the “let’s talk to the alien dudes” team and Ryle senses she’s his mate. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow/om drama. H is sort of a virgin because he’s only been with bots and h is not a virgin but I don’t remember any sexual history.

These two were hilarious together, they both had a sense of humor and were very adaptable. Even when one of their contact overtures goes horribly wrong and Macie and Ryle are literally swept away. The forced proximity, draw to each other, and slowly figuring out communicating were done so well. Again, the humor was great with dirty drawings and photos exchanged 😂. They have to both figure out this strange world but also try to get back to their crews. And Ryle really wants to claim his mate. He has a mating pulse, extra features, and he levels up when his mate is in danger, I loved this guy.

While Macie starts out being superfluous for survival, she ends up being key to them all navigating a huge danger. Ryle is very protective and loving of her through everything and the rest of his crew also appear to be marshmallows, although it wasn’t clear to me how many there are and they kind of blended together. I also wasn’t 100% clear on the human group either. Not all of the humans are on the alien bandwagon right away either and it does take some effort to get them all flowing the same way.

The writing style does need a bit more depth in my opinion and scenes could have been rounded out more. But the characters and premise kept me engaged. There is a hint that there could be more drama later with the intent of their mission being to connect with the other human settlement on another planet and I’m invested in the rest of the series to see how these two groups come more together and then what may happen. The story ends with a HFN but clearly the h and H will be in other books.

4.5 ⭐ purely based on my enjoyment of this 👽🛸❤️

This was cuuuuuute 🥺❤️🥺 and I really needed a simple, straightforward alien romance with a magic dick (not really magic but it's pretty fucking magical), fated mates, a magic planet (lol, if you read this book you'll see what I mean), a plot that was engaging and fast paced, and plenty of adorable shit.

Macie (h) and her crew (mostly women) set out on a one-way journey towards a planet where a previous crew (mostly males/all males) awaits their arrival to fulfill an important mission. Instead 👏👏👏 these astronauts crash-land land onto the wrong planet and that's where our story starts.

From the first freaking second of that alien contact I was like yesssssss this is it, my man has arrived, this is fantastic hello new boyfriend come hither. I wish I could tell you and gush about EVERYTHING because there was so much I found cute as hell. The drawings, the broken english dialogues by the giant marshmallow H - Ryle, his tail YES HIS TAIL (no tail-fucking unfortunately 😔, missed opportunity folks! But I just wanted to mention his tail because tails are always a win for me 🥰💗), his grumbling in that cave scene so cute ugh, the dick pic YES DICK PIC and his adorable thinking behind it and see this is what is magical about alien romances - alien dick pic is an instant yes especially from a cinnamon-roll alien babeman, but I'd push a human male character away with a stick if he was like huehue lookatmydick here's a picture am I adorable? NO THANKS HUMAN MAN, INSTANT RESTRAINING ORDER.
Alien romances have special allowances and just.. hit different 😌🍆💕

The planet they're on has elements of unpredictability and hostility and had me invested throughout since the fate of all the crew members depends on this. This is what results in a cliffhanger for all the characters though it's obvious that the MCs are literally stitched into each other's fabric for all of eternity. HEA/HFN - I always struggle to understand what is what lol. If the MCs begin to say "i luv u-" it's instant sailing off into the sunset for me. They have declared for each other = HEA.

I felt the chemistry and the feelings between the MCs pretty easily despite there being a lack of serious emotional or character depth. The best fucking thing about so many alien romances is the fact that the alien guys HAVE NO IDEA WHAT KISSING IS and wow that alone turns up the heat to a thousand degrees.. nothing like an eager to learn alien man willing to understand allllll that his mouth can do🔥🔥🔥 Their sex scenes are wonderful and it makes me SO SAD that his dick is fictional. I want to cry. Why are human men not endowed thusly? Why art thou this unfair lord?
😢🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆
An easy in-between read to make you giggle and clutch atleast three pearls. I loved it. Defo recommend!

Delightful, funny, sexy, adventuresome. Golden retriever hero and great heroine.

Exchanging drawings to foster communication between two unknown species? Smart and something I don’t see enough in these alien stories.

But exchanging dirty drawings to hit on your fated mate while you are working on the language barrier? Genius.

Very, very decent. This was more than just a fluffy read and I really like how the characters were explored here. There was a structured plot to the book, and underlying tropes that made it all the more interesting. It definitely took me on an adventure. I will definitely be exploring more of this series!

This was a cute start to a potential series. Macie and the crew of specialists are traveling through space to the planet that other male humans have started a settlement. Macie’s ship crash lands on another planet (Antasun). And there’s a group of male aliens (Rurim) there...

I enjoyed this story but I could tell that it was possibly a first book, or very early in the authors career. Some things were too convenient, like Ryle picking up the English so fast- even before the translator. I also had questions. Ryle’s original planet wasn’t talked about much- were there females there? What were his living conditions like? Was he just a soldier and nothing else? And why is it that Gwen was in an arm sling in the beginning, but it’s Thea(?) that has an arm cast at the end?

But, it was still an enjoyable story.

I’m looking forward to reading more, if the author writes another in this series. I’m hoping for a Tess and Woz book, because I think that would be funny. I’m also curious about how their lives were in the cave beyond the swelling mushrooms. Anyhow, decent story.

Notes on characters for future books:
Macie- anthropologist/historian
Tess- computer science
Dean- setting up tents
Judd-setting up tents
Skye- artist
Kit- robotics
Hope- 2nd farmer
Quinn- chef
Gwen- Broken arm?
Rowan- pediatrician
Viv- biologist
Stella- ?
Faith- f, captain, astronaut, Arjun’s wife.
Arjun- m, astronaut and pilot
Justine- doctor, married to Nikos
Nikos- nurse, married to Justine

The writing wasn’t too bad but characters a bit too immature. Gave up reading at 45% once male lead sent a picture of his reproductive organs and she thought it was great. So attractive.

I really enjoyed this story between Macy and Ryle.

Macy's ship goes down on the wrong planet. A quick scouting trip lets her know they are NOT alone on the planet. She comes up with a plan, to leave them a note asking to meet. A mudslide causes a huge problem, Macy is swept away, but not before Ryle jumps in and protects her. He will always be there to protect and care for her in every way.

Mate. His body and mine know that Maysee is his fated mated. She was made for him and him alone. Ryle was never so glad for their ships going down and him finding her. Now he has to protect her and get her to mate with him, so he can claim her. Can he win her over? It doesn't matter, he'll follow her where ever she goes.

This is a quick and enjoyable read. The characters are well thought out and their story is good.

I read Stranded with the Alien and oh my goshhhhh it was so good! It was a fun read that I was able to finish up in a couple of hours. I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Macie was a mission to travel to a distant planet in order to start another human settlement. Unfortunately for her and her crew they end up crash landing on the wrong planet…. But they aren’t alone! Another crashed ship full of aliens is nearby.

The two crews end up working together and pooling resources. Macie starts to become very close to Ryle, a hunky and devoted alien. She even gets to teach him how to kiss (one of the best tropes in my opinion 🌶️)

When a once in a lifetime storm threatens everyone, Macie and Ryle have to get everyone to safety… Chaos ensues. Fights break out. Teammates divide. Ryle grows to be hulk sized (you gotta read it to believe it!)

Well... that was something.

I love alien/monster romance books. Especially the ones where they don't speak the same language and they have to communicate through other means. But this one just wasn't for me. It wasn't bad or anything, just boring. I barely finished it and thanked the lord when it was over.

I was intrigued in the beginning. I am used to more serious tones in these romances and I was pleasantly surprised when this book wasn't like that. Ryle was acting cute and it was charming. But then

As I said. The story wasn't bad and Ryle wasn't a bad character or anything. Without the whole thing he was a cutie. This is just something personal that bothers me. Thank you for listening to my rant!

Such a fun Sci-fi read!! 👾

Our lead, Macy, and her crew crash land on a planet (not the one they were aiming for) and most of them make it out alright. Luckily for them, this planet not only has breathable air, but it also is rich in resources! But they weren't the only ones to crack on this planet... Another crew of beings from a totally different planet landed here too. Together these two species have to learn to get along and communicate in order to survive when Macy discovers that a viscous storm is on its way only working together as one team will keep everyone still remaining alive.

If you like:

🚀 Fated Mates
🚀 Whitty banter
🚀 Head strong characters
🚀 "Touch her and you die" possessive, but in a sweet way
🚀 Forced proximity
🚀 Intelligent FMCs who are the heros of the day
🚀 Spicy discoveries with extra fun special equipment 😉😜🥵🌶️

Then check out this book! I read it all in one sitting because I was having so much fun learning along with Macy! 💕

3.5 // It’s sweet. And amusing. Very low angst. My favorite part of this is the language barrier. The anthropologist FMC suggests trying to communicate with the other aliens via drawings. It works. A little too well. When the protagonists are swept away in a flood and ride out the storm in a cave, he takes to drawing her naughty pictures. It *is* pretty dang funny.

I do wish the author had taken better care with details. Both humans and the Rurim have tablet technology that somehow manage to interface. Including messaging and sending photos. That seems way too far fetched for an planet with zero existing technology they both crashed on. Some other far fetched things as well but they’re plot details and I don’t want to reveal.

I prefer a measure of plausibility and adherence to existing science with my science fiction. Otherwise it’s a fantasy set on another planet and that’s not all that alien to me.

It’s an entertaining read, and at times I was so amused that I actually laughed at the unexpected That said, readers looking for something super serious might not enjoy it as much. It’s not exactly low-stakes—there’s a major danger threatening everyone’s lives if the warnings are ignored—but . Plus, I’ve yet to read a sci-fi alien romance in this genre with a truly tragic ending, so I was pretty worry-free throughout the story.

Do I want to read more? Absolutely. I want to continue following Macie and Ryle’s story. I know I’m hooked when I’m already looking for book two as soon as I finish. That said, knowing how these series usually go, the next book—if there is one—will likely focus on another couple. If so, I’ll give it a shot, hoping it continues the main story and gives me glimpses of Macie and Ryle in the background.

5/5 ⭐️

This book is a must read for anyone who enjoys alpha males who turn into complete cinnamon rolls for their other halves.

Nash’s ability to make the female main character, Macie, seem gentle and understanding, even after her team of humans crash landed on the wrong planet, is a true gift. The male main character, Ryle, is the perfect ratio between alpha male and teddy bear. He is protective when needed but not suffocating, and he is warm and caring without being overbearing.

Too often, authors write their characters at the ends of either extremes and then show no signs of improvement by the end of the story. This book does not have that problem.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, their growth throughout the story (both individually and together), and of course, the spice.

If you’re looking for a spicy alien romance, this is the perfect book.

In (an easy to imagine) future, humans are leaving Earth for colonies on far off planets. That is where Macie and her ship are headed until both Macie's and Ryle's (our MMC) ships crash land far of their targets onto the same seemingly deserted, but hospitable planet. Luckily, first contact between humans and aliens turns about to be more amusing than dangerous as Macie and Ryle learn to communicate without words and work together to save both of their people.

This book is sweet and amusing, with a smart heroine and wonderful hero who is grateful for a second chance. I can't wait to see what else is in store for the castaways in the future.

This book is absolutely phenomenal. It has so much detail and you can tell it was planned out very well. The mating bond between them you can tell grows and grows constantly with their time together. I just wanted to keep reading more and more. The writing was very well done and the spice..... Just a million stars on the spice. I honestly can't wait to read more of this series. It was so cute that they had to draw to communicate with each other and all the little drawings they did. It was just such an amazing book.

THIS BOOK IS WORTH READING!!!

It was nice to read a book in which the characters weren't fighting one another. Instead, they help one another to survive and exist on this new planet. There are still differences between humans and aliens. Ryle and Maysie fall in love and are mates. The story of Ryle and his crew was sad. There were several funny parts and I thought the texting between Maysie and Ryle was funny. READ, THIS BOOK I DON’T THINK YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I enjoyed that more than I expected! Interesting concept and endearing characters. Light relaxing read.

I recommend this to readers who enjoy Ella Maven’s Drixonians, Elin Wyn’s Traxiant, or Honey Philip.
Similarities include:
- warrior humanoid MMC who looks alien but not too alien
- sweet & completely devoted MMC
- fated mates
- MMC is strong/protective w/o being controlling/domineering
- no dubcon/noncon b/w MMCs
- no cheating or ow/om drama
- HEA/HFN

So good!!!

This book was absolutely amazing from start to finish! It has all the stuff I adore in a sci-fi romance: crash landed/stranded on an alien planet, alien hero, fated mates, language barrier, survival on an alien planet, a cast of awesome characters, and main characters that I really like and could empathize with! I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys sci-fi romance!

sweet alien romance

So adorable. Loved how they learned how to communicate with eachother in that unique way. Great first story in what I hope is lots more to come from his alien planet. Expect a very frisky alien but one that respects boundaries and is not a brute with his mate. Some of the side characters were a bit frustrating but overall a really great read

A good story and romance

This is book one and a good one. It’s the alien male to human female troupe but with a little twist. Both species are stranded on this unknown planet. Luckily they have oxygen and greenery. The couple is sweet and respectful. It’s a gradual movement in the romance between the two main characters but well written. Read On!

I loved everything about this book, Ryle was just the sweetest cupcake of a dangerous alien and completely and utterly obsessed with Macie and even tho she was hesitant at first she was equally obsessed with him. Also Ryle is such a guy sending her tablet a alien dick pic 🤣 truly hilarious! Loved it! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Stranded with Aliens

Macie and her crew crash on the wrong planet and meet aliens who also crashed their ship. They establish a working translation program and their leader Ryle gets a fated mate vibe with Macie.
