This book is great! How to housekeep without toxins! Most recipes call for items you already have or can get at low cost; baking soda, vinegar, citrus, borax, washing soda, glycerin. Lots of tips and advice on what to use and how to use it. Where you would find the ingredients, etc..

This is an awesome guide on non toxic cleaning for your home. If you're sensitive to chemicals or just want to use an alternative to strong chemicals in your home because you want to live a more healthy lifestyle, this is a great guide giving you lots of different recipes and resources to help you.

It lists companies that make products for you and it has tons of homemade recipes you can make with just simple kitchen items such as baking soda, lemon juice, washing soda, borax, vinegar and olive oil. It's amazing the amount of surfaces you can clean with just a few items that cost very little money and that is better for your environment. Certain pets such as birds can kill over just by using strong cleaners in your home, so it's best to use this guide to protect them and yourself.

The chapters include: all purpose household cleaners, scouring powders and soft scrubbers, disinfectants and mold cleaners, air fresheners and odor removal, the kitchen, glass cleaners, ovens and appliances, cleaning metal, the bathroom, furniture, floors, carpet cleaning, walls and wallpaper, fireplace cleaners, laundry, stains and tough jobs, cars, cleaning up chemicals, reducing chemical residues from fruits and vegetables, recycling and reducing our use of plastics, commercial products that are safe for health and safe for the earth. There are tons of resources too.

This is definitely a book to keep on your shelf.

Has wonderful recipes for home made cleaners. I have a hard time using store bought because the smell of most of the make my head hurt. These are made with ingredients that most people have on had or are very inexpensive to buy. I use the disinfectant, Window and all purpose cleaners from this book.
