Everyone knows that good omegas lead perfect privileged lives. But I’m not a good omega... I’m a female alpha, and my entire life up to this point has been a lie.

It took a horrifying accident to finally reveal my true nature, and as a result I’ve been shipped off to a special reformatory school for dangerous criminals: alphas who need to be fixed if they ever hope to rejoin society.

The guilt over what I did eats me alive, but it’s hardly my fault. Female alphas are rare and my own mother kept it a secret… even from me. This fancy cage is my last chance to have a life, but it can never be the one I wanted for myself.

Now I’ve got one year at Alpha Academy.
One year to get a grip on my anger issues.
One year to prove my worth, and perhaps…
One year to put some wickedly hot men in their place.

Maybe this won’t be so bad, after all.

Get ready to meet the Steele sisters in the Bonds of Steele omegaverse series world. Each book is a standalone and can be read in any order. Forbidden Alpha features hot bad boys with an ax to grind, a strong and fiery female lead, and smoldering-hot knotty times. Please read the author’s note for possible triggers.

Meh

I wanted to like this book. But Amber's constant seesaw from woe is me to I'll be the biggest and best and back again just made me hate her. Maybe because I haven't read the other books but the entire plot seemed emotionless. Someone dies that she is supposedly close to and she is kinda worked up about it but at the same time just goes on about her day until it serves the plot for her to mope around for a chapter or two.

I would have loved to see more of the boys, but their chapters seemed to just be a chance to have an Amber chapter with a different name at the front. They were all very flat and not worth the investment. Which is unfortunate because the potential for drama and scandal was there and was just tossed aside in favor for some half-hearted and dull smut.

Plus, an academy for delinquents that "has no rules" seems like a terrible idea from a practical standpoint.

I'm going to start with this book on my thoughts individually about it, and then I'll expand into how I think it fits in with the other books in this series.

The male characters in this book felt too generic and too broad. They lacked a sense of refinement, and I could definitely tell that there were three authors of this book. If it weren't for the alphas and the omega having different names, I wouldn't have been able to tell who was speaking during their "point of view" sections.

As for the FMC, she lacked emotional depth. Here we have a girl who accidentally murdered a sister (who she relates at the end of the book had a hand in raising her like a mother), and she's much more concerned about her newfound status as an alpha. I expected there to be a lot more guilt and sadness, but mostly, her POV was blase. In fact, her emotions were so surface-level that I thought it was an accident on the part of the authors because Pack Fernando had kidnapped her the whole time. But no, she killed someone she loved but mostly didn't seem to care about it in any substantial way besides how it kept her from moving on and threatened her. She came across as very selfish.

Now when Pack Jade was together? Their relationship felt one-note and a bit forced. I really couldn't tell why they liked each other besides the fact they thought Amber was hot, and she thought they were hot. In my opinion, there needed to be more relationship-building before they jumped into forming a pack. Not even those little "there's something about her/him" moments convinced me because they never defined what that something was.

We needed more clarification on the female alpha thing. If they were going to an alpha academy, supposedly one that has seen female alphas and is run by one, then surely they would have explained more to her. Especially with the very forced relationship sprung on the reader between Lacey and the FMC.

Finally, as for the ending of the book, as it pertains to Amber: it didn't feel completely resolved. Mostly because her sense of self wasn't very well-defined, and she had no ascertainable goals and no real guilt over murdering her own sister.

Now on to how this book fits in with the others: it doesn't. I expected a lot more interconnectedness for a series called "Bonds of Steele," but instead, we get the sisters occasionally guest-starring in the others' book.

Also, I'm not convinced that none of the sisters would be upset about murdering Jade! The authors played this off way too much. Yes, it was an accident, but you have only to google it to see how something like that affects a person.

The fact that the girl's dads never contacted them doesn't make sense because they also seemed to be overbearing (not nearly as much as Sage) in Scarlett's story. At the very least, I expected them to reach out to Amber and guilt her.

There were no consequences for Pack Fernando despite the terrible things they did throughout the series, and merely murdering Sage without any other consequence seemed forced.

Also, seven sisters and five books? I get that one of the sisters was murdered, but if you wanted to make an emotional impact on the reader, then her book should have been written, especially since she had already found her pack before this book. I don't know what's going on with the fifth book or why it was unpublished, but the last book of the series should be unpublished as well since this is a series.

So, no, I wasn't a huge fan of this series. If I had read the first book first, I wouldn't have even started it. I do not recommend any of the books in this series.

Apparently, when SK Reign, Ginna Moran, and Laural Night get together it spells trouble but in a great way. All three authors collaborated in writing Forbidden Alpha, the final book in the Bonds of Steele series and I absolutely loved it.

The Steele sisters have been through a lot to find their pack and it's finally the youngest sister's turn. Amber is a female alpha Female alphas are rare in the omegaverse world, I've never read about one, but I feel that Amber is a great example of one. Amber is a mix of strong and soft, a balance she takes control and wants to protect but she also has her vulnerable moments. My heart went out to her, the guilt she felt over a past mistake, dealing with a betrayal, and struggling to accept her designation was a lot but Amber stood strong in the face of everything and didn't let it destroy her.

Also, like her sisters, Amber formed a pack of great guys. Beau seems to be a jerk at first but the alpha has a softer side and I realize that his personality, in the beginning, was just a mask, Beau is really cheery and excitable and a good guy. Gabe is an alpha, smart, and ambitious but in a softer way than I would have expected. Then there is Theoden, I loved the male omega so much, he was so sweet, plus I liked seeing a male omega's story, I've read a few of them and I found this view on them interesting. All the guys were too adorable and I'm glad Amber found them, their pack may be unique but who is to say what's normal?

The story was completely unexpected, and I really liked that. A fmc discovering what it means to be an alpha and discovering who she is was such a refreshing story while feeling familiar. Then there are the other things such as positive female support, a student/professor relationship is always a plus, a unique pack bond, not to mention a venomous villain, and an exciting plot that had me in its grip and didn't let go.

Forbidden Alpha was absolutely fantastic, it surprised me on so many levels. I was enraptured not only by the story but by the characters as well. So far, except for two books, I've read every other book in the series. I've gotten to know the sisters and their packs through a few different eyes, all with their own version, and through very different situations and I've loved all of them. Bonds of Steele was one wild ride. Bring together an omegaverse series that focuses on one family but each book being a standalone was genius and created a series that stands out.

This book is dumb, and I'm kind of upset that I read it. This middling series was pretty dramatic, but enjoyable up until this one, so if you've been reading along and this one just popped up on your feed? My recommendation is to leave off here.

Not only do the characters devolve into the most overly simplified caricatures of themselves, their motivation fall to pieces, and their sensibilities are laughable. This is a horribly written book.

Spoiler--maybe?--I mean, it's from page one on, so really--not a spoiler. Aside from the points above, plot-wise we have the WORST plothole ever. It damages all of the previous times Jade's ever been in a novel. Jade's smart, she married criminals, and she's always been there for her sisters. She not only escaped a mom who's abysmal, she also provided a safe place after the fact for her other siblings who needed it. So, tell me why she'd be dumb enough to get between a gun, her mother, and her newly awakened-as-alpha sister? She wouldn't. So having her death in this book? Dumber than dumb. Jade was smart, resourceful, and able to cover up a death with the help of her pack, no problem. So by scraping her in the interest of some 'oh, I don't want my sister to kill her mom'? Dumb rationale. And honestly, the whole situation is SO GLOSSED OVER. The scene is never truly described, so while the WHOLE BOOK is focused on it--honestly, until the end when she's talking about holding her sister until she stopped breathing--I honestly thought Jade was alive, but wounded and sold off to Rip & co. in her stead.

So yeah. This book is really dumb.
Also incredibly tonedeaf. In the end of the book where they have the other stories listed out, they've chosen a few things to articulate:

Jade #DeadAsADoorNail #NoHappyEndingforJade

Just ugh.
Anywho. Good luck.

Another standalone from the interconnected Bonds of Steele Universe, Forbidden Alpha is the story of Amber, the youngest of the Steele sisters. When she presents as an Alpha instead of the Omega she’s been raised to be, Amber is sent to a reformatory school to either learn how to play by society’s rules or be cast out forever. As in the previous books in this universe, Momma Steele is the puppet master, making her daughters’ lives miserable so that she is seen in the best light, lest they tarnish the family’s image.

This was a great co-write! The authors played on each other’s strengths and produced a very entertaining omegaverse with some unique features. I loved that there was a female alpha and a male omega, different from the other books in this universe (and many other OV). It was a refreshing change.

I liked the way they treated their relationship, too. Yes, they were a scent match and thus immediately drawn to each other, but they also built up a supportive friendship. There was true affection there. That includes the other two alphas in her pack. They all become a unit around Amber (there is no MM).

Expect high steam! Lots and lots of steam. Amber and her omega can be insatiable, throw two more alphas in the mix, and things get pretty toasty. Amber is comfortable being dominant and being catered to.

I have enjoyed the other books in this series, but Forbidden Alpha is my favorite. I would recommend it to sweet omegaverse lovers who are looking for something a little different than the more common female omega story.

Forbidden Alpha, part of the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse world by SK Reign, Laurel Knight and Ginna Moran was a fantastic unique take on the traditional Omegacerse tripe and I absolutely loved it!!!

This standalone story takes us back into the Bonds of Steele Universe, but this time for Amber, the baby of the Steele family. Raised as an Omega alongside her sisters, Amber’s world soon takes a turn for the worse when she presents as an Alpha instead of the Omega she’s been raised to be. And when tragedy occurs because of this revelation, Amber is immediately sent away to Drakewood Academy, a private reform school for wayward alphas. Because of course mother dearest has no problem punishing her daughter anyway she sees fit in order to protect the family’s precious imagine. Now Amber is faced with two options: learn how to play by society’s rules and become the perfect alpha or be forever shunned as a misfit and cast out.

Now Amber has one year to not only come to terms with being the only female alpha at the academy but to also become the perfect alpha to avoid being blacklisted from society. But with some much stress, tension and angst galore surrounding Amber and the men she soon finds herself drawn to it of course it can’t be that easy of a road—so sit back, buckle up, and enjoy this delicious ride full of tantalizing steamy spice, forbidden heat, friendship, love and endurance against all the struggles placed in their paths.

Pack Jade…

Amber is sent to Drakewood after she reveals as an alpha. She’s being punished for shooting and killing her sister Jade.
She was trying to aim for her tyrant mother but missed and hit her sister.
Dealing with the shame and guilt, Amber swears to change her life.
At Drakewood she meets a male omega Theoden who is a professor at the school. She’s attracted to his scent and she gets close to two classmates Beau and Gabe.
There is danger from her sisters pack looking for Jade, her mother and pack Fernando, her mothers minions.

Amber had to deal with a lot, she’d been treated and taught about being the best omega for years only to be an alpha.
Coming to terms with it all is a bit of a struggle.

The Bonds of Steele Omegaverse series was a multi author, interconnected storyline. Each book featured a different Steele sister facing the same antagonist while searching for their happily ever after. This final book in the series was sad, yet hopeful. Amber may have had the most difficult journey of all the sisters. Ultimately the series came to a satisfying conclusion. While the sisters lost so much, they also triumphed overall.

Oh my goodness, this may have been my fav book in the series.

I loved seeing Amber struggle with her designation and the death of her sister. Gabe and Beau were smushy alpha marshmallows that quickly grew on me, and Theoden - our male omega - was just perfect.

And Mama Steele FINALLY got what she deserved. 🙌🙌🙌🙌

The ending made me cry happy tears. Beautifully done.

I don’t need anyone anymore. I’m not the sweet omega everyone expected. I’m a goddamn alpha.

Turning eighteen should be a happy day to celebrate for Amber with her family around her…instead the secret that she didn’t know was about to burst free and leave bloodshed in its wake.

As a twist of fate, Amber has manifested into an Alpha not an omega. Having trained for years about her role as an omega, what is to be expected of her and to know who she is, is now flipped and Amber is left feeling not only lost but guilt over the event that happened.

With nothing else left her deceptive mother packs Amber off to Drakewood Academy for wayward alphas and in hopes that she can be reformed if not than Amber will face the rest of her life behind bars.

Whatever she’s up to will surely put the male alphas in their places. She’ll dominate the academy in no time. Maybe even dominate me.

But, being a female alpha is rare and now surrounded by brooding, sexual males, Amber will have to learn quick and prove herself that she can bite just as fiercely as her bark. Amber soon catches the eye of males within the academy, even more so than her alpha dorm neighbours and her omega professor.

Tensions soon run high, Amber may not be an omega but her scent and growing power attracts them…but will they let Amber dominate them?

Amber's past is also circling her wanting to taste of her blood for revenge…

Loyalties are about to be tested and unlikely bonds are going to fall before they even start or rise as the top pack that should never be messed with again.

“We wanted to show you that even though you’re not an omega, there’s no reason we can’t treat you to anything you desire.”

This is the final conclusion to the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse series and Amber’s story rounds up the series perfectly. I enjoyed reading Amber’s story. I liked her character from feeling lost not knowing what her life was not to become and the fear that she could lose everything…then watching as she regrown into an alpha not allowing the males to push her around gaining their respect.

I loved the males, they showed different sides to being an alpha still learning and growing into who they will become also. It was fun reading too and seeing their personalities come across.

The emotions have been strong throughout this series and love how they are touched on by every character. The sexual heat is something else that makes it stand out and with having reverse harem with the different races too makes for a very interesting read!

She may be damaged, but life hasn’t broken her yet.

Now, together with the others, I will make sure it never does.

She is mine. Ours.

Steele women are expected to be omegas, so what happens if one presents as an alpha? We already know that mommy dearest isn't afraid to ship away a daughter to keep her out of the public eye just for being a late bloomer, so why not ship off another if she becomes an alpha instead of an omega? Safe to say that Sage Steele isn't fit to be a mother and looks out for only herself, keeping the family name unsoiled in any way possible. For those who have read a few or any of these books, you know how badly she has treated her daughters, so this book will deliver the comeuppance that you've been hoping for. If you haven't read any of the other books, well, it only takes a scene with her to begin to hate her.

But less about Sage and more about Amber. Amber's story is probably my favorite out of this series. The beginning of her story is a bit of a tragic one, her awakening as an alpha completely unexpected for her with a lot of anger, betrayal, and heartache. Living her life being trained and treated as an omega, Amber's life is flipped upside down. What I think is so sad about her story is that being raised as an omega had her expecting to be the center of a pack, being treated with love and cherished, but her thought process had her believing a life filled with love wouldn't be possible as an alpha female. The guys that she found, Theo, Beau, and Gabe, were able to prove her wrong in so many ways. It was nice to see Amber be able to have her cake and eat it too, being able to express her more dominant side but still get the pampering and attention that any omega would get from their pack. It just proves that it isn't really about the designation, it's about the connections between the pack and whether they trust and love each other enough to be able to show different sides of themselves.

I think the one thing that was missing from the other books is the outside female support. Director Black, although coming off hot and cold most times, had to be the most beneficial character in this book (besides Amber's pack). Not only was she an alpha female like Amber, but she provided some support and gave advice to Amber, something she never got from her mother. I wouldn't say that Black was a motherly figure for her, but in a world where alpha females are so rare, to have someone be able to fully understand what you are going through and be able to assist you in adjusting is invaluable.

A rollercoaster of events right up to the very end, this story was very entertaining. Humorous meet cutes, bunny parents, a pack out for revenge, and an insane parental unit kept this story riding the line between serious and sweet. It was just the right combination I was looking for. Definitely loved Amber's journey into claiming her alpha-ness.

This is twisted to your traditional alpha story. Amber was raised as omega but on her 18th birthday her true self show as a rare female Alpha. She can't control herself and she had an mistakes that sends her to Drakewood. There she will stay for year to be accepted again to the public. She will also meet her pack here Beau, Gabe, and an sweet omega Theoden. Their journey is incredible but they will have some ups and downs along the way. But in the end they will find their happiness.

**Please note, I got an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**

So, this is the sixth, and last book in the Bonds of Steele series. Though, one book is missing (book 5, Pretty Madness – Raven's story). The author unfortunately had to cancel it. I normally don't read out of order, but because I got Amber's story as an ARC, and it isn't announced when Pretty Madness will be coming out just yet, I couldn't wait for that. It only shitty, because I hate to read Raven's story and have to face Sage Steele again, after experiencing relieve, that they are finally rid of her in this book. (It is satisfying – if you read this book and the others, you know why.)

But okay. Back to the topic at hand. Amber is a strong character, and one of the rare Alpha females in the Omegaverse. In general, there aren't many Omegaverse books out there, that have female Alphas as main characters. So, it is always something special and makes things interesting. It was well solved here. Even though, I didn't like the first part of the story much. The guys were great, too, of course. But the story is mostly about Amber. But the dynamic between the four was unique. So, that made it really fascinating.

And I hate the circumstances around Amber that leads her to Drakewood in the first place. I always wondered why the series had six parts, but there are seven sisters. And that we never knew more about that left out sister's pack, other than the few mentioned bits.

Now, it makes sense. Because this sister wasn't there to stay. And I hate that, because I so wished that each sister gets a happily ever after with their loves, after having such a shitty mother and childhood. And those disinterested fathers. It's always said, that the fathers somewhat cared for them. But I never saw anything like that. Though, it makes sense. The sisters were the focus and their bonds to each other. Still, I had wished for them to have something more in family.

But alas, as it is in reality too, you can't choose your birth family and have to deal with the cards life gives you. But it worked out for Amber and her sisters (minus the one lost). I'm glad that Sage Steele got what she deserves.

So, overall, I enjoyed the conclusions and story in general. It was a worthy ending of the Bonds of Steele.

That's why I give it 5 stars. It's surely a book I will remember in some way.

Forbidden Alpha is a stand-alone novel in the Bonds of Steel series. Three authors come together to write this tantalizing novel, and once you start reading you're not going to want to put it down.
Amber has been sent Drakewood Academy. She's done something terrible, and this is her only option...well, this or prison. She thought all her life that she was going to be an omega, but it turns out - surprise! She's really an alpha. Once you learn her story, you'll understand quite a few things about how she landed where she is.
This book has an engaging storyline that will quickly pull you in and keep you page-turning for more. Amber has secrets, but she's not the only one. Her mother has more, and it's time for them to come to light. There are a nice amount of steamy scenes in this book as well. I loved every single one of them and these authors keep me coming back for more. I absolutely love how flawlessly these authors write together. You can't tell where one stops and the other starts. It's really great.
My only draw back for this book is that there seem to be gaps in the story. You get a clearer storyline with the guys when they tell how they ended up at the academy. With Amber, you start to get information and then the story shifts. This happens several times, and it's a bit jarring. I wanted this story to flow a bit better and it would be absolutely perfect.
I'm rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I look forward to more collaborations between these authors in the future.

I wanted to like this

Normally if I don’t like a book I don’t say anything but this was just… unnecessary and I’m not sure if it’s the authors fault.

Spoilers ahead
There are seven Steele sisters but only six books. I’ve found that to be weird until we get to this book and found out one sister dies. To me it felt like as if there was meant to be a seventh author who was going to write that story but for whatever reason that didn’t happen, so instead of just not writing her story (which felt like would have been book two in the series since after book one jade suddenly has a formed pack that we knew nothing about until after book one) so instead of just ignoring her story doesn’t get put down, it felt like they made the author of this book kill her off. Amber lacks the emotions of what would come with a lost sister, it almost felt like the book was written with a sister injured and missing, not dead. So how Amber talks and is emotionally would make more sense if that was the case. This entire book could have been fine and written exactly the same without having to kill the sister so it just felt extremely unnecessary and that was frustrating, especially when everyone was so ok about the death. The only ones acting upset were jades alphas. That made this frustrating to read, it made me not be able to connect with anyone because they lacked the emotion I needed to connect with, especially after such a horrific event. Even jades twin lacked emotion… I wish I hadn’t read this, I would have been better off just imagining how this book ended.

The Steele Omegas are famous. In a world of low birthrates, an entire family with 6 omegas is unheard of. Now all but the youngest daughter are all packed up and it's Amber's time. But her designation is unexpected. She is an Alpha and female Alphas are even rarer than Omegas. What could have been a celebration is instead the root of a tragedy resulting in Amber being sent to an Alpha Reformatory Academy. She has one year to redeem herself and earn another chance. But first, she has to convince herself she even deserves it.

Oh my goodness! This series has been so much fun. The Steele sisters are wonderful. And they may have saved the best for last. Or maybe I feel that way with each sister's book. I wasn't sure what to think going into this book. The blurb sounded fantastic but an Alpha, not an Omega? I adore Omegas! (I actually got an Omega to adore because I did love Theo.) I should not have doubted. Amber, her men, and their story are spellbinding. It's adorable, sexy, and suspenseful. It made me want a baby bunny. (And 3 sexy men to pamper me.) It also made me think maybe matricide could be justifiable. I thought Sage Steele had already shown her worst but she outdid herself in this one. She's a bit** but Karma is a bigger one.

It was impossible to put down once I started reading. I can't believe we have run out of sisters. Will this be the end of the Steele Saga or will we get spin-offs featuring the next generation?

I've read most of the other Bonds of Steele books, and these three authors stepped in to give Amber her conclusion, wrapping up 6 books of drama. This one burned hot and fast. The meekness of Omegas gave way to the drive of an Alpha, and I deeply enjoyed this twist. I can't actually recall another omegaverse with an Alpha female as the main character, and I really loved the different point of view. Amber's character is ripped apart with guilt, and the guilt is matched only by unbridled lust as she is swept up in the released alpha hormones.

The academy setting, a professor, 2 students, heats, enforcer packs, grieving mob bosses, and a Disney villain-esque mother keep us on our toes for the entire book. It's fast paced with a plot surging towards an end not just for this book, but the series as a whole. The scenes with her newly developing pack are to the point, and her attraction to Theoden is especially hot. I found the dynamic within the pack interesting as previously, most omegaverse stories I've read have centered around an omega, which makes sense given the rules and lore for omegaverse. Having the pack revolve around an Alpha gave great dimension to the themes of omegaverse as a whole, and has me rethinking some of my assumptions based on these tropes in previous books. I was happily satisfied with the book, and really encourage any readers to make sure they end a really great series with this fast, high flying conclusion.

Amber is the baby of the Steele family. The youngest of an omega mom and all omega sisters she is completely surprised and caught off guard when she manifests as an alpha. Her 18th birthday weekend is a blur and not long afterward she is sent off to a reformatory school Drakewood Academy for killing one of her sisters during an "alpha rage". After being raised as an omega her entire life Amber has to figure out how to navigate this school and life as an alpha. She may come off as more like an alpha chihuahua at times, but don't let her pint-size fool you she still has a lot of bite.

This is the first book I read in the series so I will probably go back to read the other books to learn about the other sisters' stories. Amber was very likeable and it won't take long for you to hope for the best for her despite what she has done. In books you ofter have that one jerk that stays that way until like 75% percent into the book, but not here. It's not long before you realize all of the guys are pretty awesome and thankfully so because there is enough drama throughout the rest of the book coming from every angle. Lots of action, secrets, plot twists, which makes the book an excellent read.

Forbidden Alpha is a full-length standalone novel part of the interconnected Bonds of Steele series. This is a reverse harem romance that is fast-paced and high steam. Amber Steele is the youngest of her sisters and unexpectedly manifests as an Alpha instead of an Omega. After a terribly tragic incident, Amber is sent to Drakewood Academy — a reform school for Alphas. She meets and connects with students Gabe, Beau, and professor Theoden Hudson that ultimately become her pack.

I love Omegaverse stories and this was such a different twist with the female being the Alpha instead of the Omega. Amber is a strong, independent, and badass heroine. Attending Drakewood was supposed to be a punishment but it was the path fate had in store for her. It was a long hard journey but I’m so glad she got her happily-ever-after with her men. She definitely deserved to find happiness! The ending was great and wrapped everything up.

Tropes: Paranormal romance, omegaverse, reverse harem, academy, happily-ever-after

Strong standalone!
This was something a bit different regarding the whole alpha, omega, Pack dynamics in an Omegaverse making it an enjoyable read 😃
I was also slightly sceptical about the three author combination but the story and writing flowed seamlessly 👍🏻
This story follows Amber the baby of the Steele sisters and like the others this is a story that starts in angst and drama! Poor Amber has had her whole life turned upside down and in a tragedy 😥 but she’s has to learn to love herself and become who she truly is if she wants to survive! It also helps that she’s got the backing of the cute and caring Professor Theodon; the brash bear of a man Beau; and Gabe the thoughtful and pragmatic one! Each brings out a different aspect of Amber and truly help her to become who she should be 🥰and stand by her in her fight for her life 😬😬
There’s some over-arching the mess addressed in this book - namely the total 🐄🐮(IYKYK!!)
This is a solid standalone and closure to the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse world!

Amber is the youngest of the Steele sisters and the last girl to leave their mother's physical claws. The events leading up to her leaving for Drakewood Academy are horrifying. Carrying a heavy burden of guilt and sorrow, she has to find her place at the alpha reform academy. As the only female student, she has a lot to prove.
Add in omega Theoden, the professor of Omega studies, Beau, the big hot-headed alpha in the dorm room next door, and his roommate, Gabe, the quiet alpha, and you have a potent cocktail of complications.
Ms. Steele is still trying to control her daughter from outside the Academy. An angry pack is on the hunt for truth and possibly revenge. Mix in some surprising, fluffy test omegas. This is an action-packed sweet story.
As a co-write, this one brought in an awesome mix of personalities and a lot of quality.
I loved this part of the Steele sisters' universe and I recommend it to any who likes a good omegaverse romance with a snarky female lead, who is trying to figure out who she is.

The Steele sisters have been one of my favorite connected worlds! I loved the first few books I read and was excited to learn about Amber's story! Obviously with the title, Amber is not what all of her older sisters are, and is sent off to a reformatory school. Where she has to learn how to play by society's rules 🙄 or be cast out forever. Her "lovely" mother, is making her life absolutely miserable, as is her normal routine with her poor daughters.

Another fun thing I loved about this book is that we had a female alpha, and a male omega! It was really a great change, and with the build up of their relationship. Yes they had a scent match but there was actual feelings there, it was great to read it all building up.

There's plenty of fun 🌶 times to be had, especially with the omega, and two other alphas that keep Amber very very happy 😉 .

Forbidden Alpha was a great twist on a "normal" OV, and is at the top for my favorite of this connected series! But all of these books are amazing, and 100% worth the read!

A Wonderful Read!

Amber is not your typical heroine. When we first meet her, she has a huge chip on her shoulder—for good reason—and she makes herself pretty hard to like. But, one of the things I love about this book the most, is how we see Amber grow and change—and come out so much stronger for it!

The addition of a professor who is also an Omega makes for a really interesting dynamic. Particularly given the relationship between the guys remains strictly platonic. I really loved the family they built together—and I love how unique each relationship felt. That is particularly difficult to do in a book that is a stand-alone!

The world building is top notch—and whole this is a shared world series, you can easily read this book without any of the others.

It’s a fantastic book, and will definitely keep you engaged until the very last page! Beautifully written and edited—and not the same old Omega story!

I was super excited to see these 3 authors collaborating to finish this series and it did not disappoint! The final book of the Steele sisters tells us about Amber, the youngest sister, who unlike her siblings turns out to be an Alpha and not an Omega! Seeing her go throw her development of what is her, what is her nature and what is that she was taught to be was super interesting and very different, after all no alpha is ever raised as an omega, right? As impossible as that sounds their mother reaches new lows yet again, but the Amber, just like her sisters is strong and prevails also with the help of the pack she find in the Academy she was shipped off to. Expect loads of steam and a story written by 3 amazing authors who obviously played to their strengths. Despite being a standalone I would recommend reading the other books in the series for context and to fully understand the characters.

I have mixed feelings on this book - while I loved the story and the characters, as a fan of the series and all of the Steele sisters, one of the plot points really sucked for me in the aspect that you want all the characters to have their happy ending. If you are reading this as a stand-alone book - it will not matter at all. Amber has recently emerged as a female Alpha after being told all her life that she will be an Omega, the lifetime of grooming to be the perfect, submissive Omega is all wasted and Mama Steele again has her plans thrown out the window. Amber's character development and growth is amazing, her guys and their love story - not an easy ride but amazing reading! I loved her guys, Theoden especially - the mystical male Omega. Her two Alpha males, Gabe and Beau are just the perfect rounding out of a pack. But they're in a fancy prison for naughty alpha's with money, disguised as a school. Buckle in for a ride, cos this is hot, exciting and filled with so much emotion!

Forbidden Alpha by S.K. Reign and Ginna Moran is the sixth book in the Bonds of Steele Omegaverse series. This series has a different author for each of the books and they are all connected. If you've read the others in the series, you know that the Steele sisters are Omega's and have a journey to meet their perspective packs. This book features Amber who manifests into an Alpha. There is a tragic accident, and she manifests. She is sent to Darkwood, an academy for Alpha's who has been in trouble. Like a juvie for Alphas. While there, she meets Beau, Gabe, and Theo. Together they form their Pack. Lots of family drama. If you've read the previous books, you know all about Sage, the mother from h3ll. Such a sad turn of events for Amber, then leads to a HEA for Pack Jade. No bullying. No cheating. Loved this series.

Amber is the only one out of her seven sisters who are all omegas that presented as an alpha. It came about in the worst way and ended up in someone’s death. She is sent to a reform school for alphas it’s either pass and your slate is wiped clean or fail out and you can never form a pack. She is the only female alpha in the school since they are so rare. She meets Theoden who is her professor but she is instantly drawn to him and his scent his is an omega. Then she becomes partners in crime with Gabe and Beau who take her under their wing. Things get real crazy when pack Vega is after Amber because her mom lied about what happened with the murder and eventually they come and kidnap her. Pack Vega ends up realizing that Sage was lying to them about what happened and Amber is able to reconnect with her pack. They get their HEA.

Different isn’t bad and definitely worth the risk

Amber’s eighteenth birthday was supposed to be one of celebration and happiness. Her mother’s greed and obsession over a perfect public persona means the night ends in heartbreak and tragedy.

Finding her stuck in at a last chance reform school for delinquent alphas, Amber doesn’t know how she’ll face the changes in her life. When a mountain of an alpha runs her over and decides to show her what her new life is like, Amber determines to grab her new life and not back down.

Fraught with the unknown of her mother and her sister, Jade’s, pack, Amber tries show that she’s as strong as the alphas in her classes, but burns for some of the aspects of omega life she was raised for. Rounding out the Steele sister, Amber’s story blends action, intensity and heat in all the best ways.
