Penelope Black lives in the Midwest with her husband and two tiny humans. When she's not writing, she enjoys over-the-top action movies, iced chai lattes, and soaking up the sun in her backyard with a good book.
As a favor to her father, Edmond McCarthy, a general in the Irish Syndicate, 19-year old, Maura, is sent to the Hayes estate for safe keeping. She’s barely out of the car when sparks begin to fly.
There’s just enough storyline to override any guilt for this kïnky quickie!

Wow, what a hell of a way to get what she wanted. 19 years old, virgin, dad is a huge part of the syndicate, everyone knows not to touch her, but she stay at at “friend of your dads house” for a few months. Your ex boyfriend’s dads house at that. His Very sexy, Very Alpha twin uncles are there, your ex is there and his father is there. This was a short story, but well worth the read. And if their story ever became a full blow bigger book, I would definitely be reading it. Never read anything by this author before, but I have all her books on my TBR now.

I would've given this five stars if it had been longer because what I read was so good. However, with only 64 pages there were many things left undone. I DO hope the author writes more but I don't see anything about it so far.
With the exception of the abundance of editing errors this story started out strong. The characters were well developed and the storyline had tons of potential. I really do enjoy this author's writing style. Unfortunately like the last few books I've read by this author this ended abruptly and left tons of holes in the plot. This isn't a short story or a novella. This is more like a couple of rough draft chapters of a possible book idea. Even though it took less than an hour to get through it was a total waste of time.
I was really excited when I picked up this book and this was almost a good read if it made any sense 🤯 I mean there's 3 uncles and we even get the POV of the one who got excluded so what the hell happened?!
Yeah. . . this ended up being kind of a disappointment. It was still an okay read but it could have been a 4 star rating if there were any sense to the story.
Maura is sent to her ex-boyfriend's house by her father for a month. Her plan is to spend time reading and doing her best to avoid her ex. Her plans quickly change when her ex's three older uncles make it known they want her.
This is a quick and spicy novella that is perfect for those looking for a low stakes read. The spicy scenes were good and there was a fair amount of them. I liked the threesome scene, but I wish we would've gotten a group scene with all four of them. My biggest issue is the story just ended abruptly. I wish there had been a more clear ending and an epilogue.
I don’t know if this is meant as a prequel for an upcoming book or what, but it ends abruptly and is sorely in need of editing. I loved the story and the concept, but the lack of editing had me re-reading sentences and trying to figure out if I missed something. Marah went from wearing a dress, to a sarong, to a bathing suit, all in one paragraph. It was very distracting and took away from what was meant to be the main spicy scene with Cash. However, I liked the story so I kept reading…. Only for it to cut off abruptly. There is no action with the third uncle and we are only given a tease of the twins and “‘Em” embarking on their new sexual relationship.
I really hope this will be a full story at some point….
In a Little While was so hot I’m surprised my kindle didn’t explode! Can I just say this age gap kind of taboo story had me begging for more! There are twin’s y’all and I wish they were mine! Cash & Flynn are absolute fire! We won’t even talk about the mysterious Kellan. These men know how to turn you inside out with just their words and it’s like a tidal wave you never want to stop once they start with everything else! All I know is I will never look at a pool house or a piercing the same way again! I didn’t want this story to end and if I got to spend a month at their house, I’d make sure they never wanted to let me go!
Yeah, I agree with the rest of the reviewers - it ends very abruptly, and while there is a nice setup for an actual book, this can't be considered more than a few chapters. But if it's turned into an actual book with a plot, I'd be interested.
I 97 percent love it. And 3 percent am sure about how I feel about their futures together. I love this book. I appreciate that it shows with age comes wisdom and with youth comes immaturity and neglect fullness. As well as how a cocky attitude can both be sexy and a complete turn off depending on the persons overall being. The young nephew is cocky and only into his own needs and wants. He has never heard the word no from a woman before but only because he has gone after women who think they will get something from him like popularity. But our girl has seen what Owen can and has done when you all he cares about is himself. Yet his uncles are cocky because they know how to treat a woman. They also know how to respect a woman in such a way that they can also get what they want. That cockiness is hot. Because it isn't a selfish one. Unlike their selfish nephew. I really enjoyed this eroticly fire book. I didn't expect the final outcome. And I want to know more and have more of a story. Because there really isn't too much of a storyline that is the drawback of the book. However I am surprised I still liked this book without a full completed storyline in my opinion. I appreciate the start of the storyline and would love to delve more into it if the author ever chooses to continue this I will COMPLETELY read it
Horrendous. It had a heroine who the author kept insisting was better than any other woman because she was a virgin and the women who the other heroes were with before were gold digging skanks. Okay, it wasn’t outright said but damn was it really obvious. It was published in 2022, I checked. Funny, considering that one of the pairs of twins which are her heroes is a “playboy” who is known around town for being good at eating pussy and “sharing” with his brother. Though, I might be bias, I like why choose romances BUT… the appeal fails on me when they’ve shared before. The heroine loves that about them bless her heart. And the sex scenes and “dirty talk” were eye gouge worthy. I didn’t know whether to laugh or vomit. If you write erotic romance, you literally have one job. If you are sensitive to second hand embarrassment, do not read this. The heroine is panting over all three of them and it’s pathetic. GIRL STAND UP! Oh and the ending is so strange. I read a review mentioning it but I dismissed it thinking it wouldn’t bother me but it was just bad. The author is not a newbie, they’ve published before so this surprised me. This being a debut would’ve explained the horrible writing and disgusting sex scenes and heroes.

Once again you have written something that I have loved!!
Maura can't believe that she has to move in with her ex boyfriend and his uncle's. She doesn't want to live with her ex boyfriend because he cheated on her and she doesn't want to see him.
Cash, Kellan, and Flynn are drawn towards her the minute that she moves into the house. They can't keep their eyes off of her! They want to make her theirs but they know they shouldn't because of who her father is.
Wow the scene between Cash, Maura and Flynn! 🥵🥵 That was so hot I needed a cold glass of water after! The spicy scenes in this book were everything. These men I wouldn't mind having a turn with them!! They could take me any day they want.
I'm giving this 3 stars because it was super spicy. However even though I was expecting it from other reviews, it ended kind of strange and seemed cut off. I feel like this would have made a good longer book and started them out a little slower and definitely had a more final ending. It ended when they were going to have a family dinner and it seemed like maybe they were going to discuss their future and then it was just done. I also am not a huge fan of the "daddy" kink, but I get everyone has their thing and it's not the first or last time I'll come across it in books. It's just not for me. The whole book because of how short and straight to the point, kind of came off as someone writing down what they were watching during p*rn. Short and to the point read if that's what you're looking for.
I'm very confused. The book ends super abruptly and there isn't any interaction between Maura and Kellan, but for some reason there is a chapter from his POV. Which brings me to my next thing, are there multiple versions of this book that I am unaware of? Because I saw another review that was saying the same thing I am and there was a comment on that review talking about there being a scene at the end of the book where Maura teases Kellan in his office and then they get busy on his desk and after that, the book time jumps two months. WHERE?! I don't know what version of this book they read, but in the book I read there is no such scene, it ends right after Maura, Cash, and Flynn get freaky in the pool house. But either way, the story feels very unfinished and more like a rough draft for a book idea than an actual novella.

Fast singleton read! This looks like it will be a lot of fast paced stories that could be considered taboo, and I am here for this concept. The intro states for those who like fast burn books, and this definitely hit the mark! You get a story about a girl (19) who is experiencing her "awakening" to all sorts of fun time. She jumps in feet first with not one, two, but three brothers (one set of twins!!). The plot is a little lacking but you get the picture because this was not what it was about it is more fun time than getting background on all the characters. It was fun and what a good cleanser from after a serious read. I love that Penelope Black is starting to push herself in other genres and changes it up to keep her fresh. I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!
Penelope Black is a new to me author and she has now become one of my one-click authors!
In a Little While follows Maura McCarthy as she stays at the house of close members of the family syndicate. Not only is she staying at the house with her ex-boyfriend, but also with his 3 hot, older, single uncles. I mean what could happen?
The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is that I wanted it to end with a bang at the "Surprise Family Dinner" but it just ended.
This was probably the spiciest novella I have read in a while. If you are looking for a quick, spicy read this is it!
Rating: 4.75/5 Spice:4/5 Trope: Ex-boyfriend's uncles, MFM, sharing, age gap, forced proximity Warning: this is a one-hand read
Penelope Black has a gift for writing. I know her from her slow burn mafia books, where her writing is so compelling I don't even miss the usual heat of a storyline. With that in mind, i was so excited to see how she'd write a fast burn novella i had to race to my kindle, and omg did she deliver! This story grips you from the first chapter. Maura and the Hayse brothers have so much chemistry that I simultaneously devoured this story and was lefting hoping we see more from this world. Dear author, i seriously hope we get to see more fast burn stories from you! This book was so fun!
NSFW!! WARNING: Will cause combustible panties. Holy cannoli that was quick and dirty and so so hot. Is it realistic or relatable? Nope.. Is is emotional and romantic and will sweep you off your feet? Not really. Is it well written smut with enough plot to keep you flipping pages? Heck yes! Maura is living her best life and a lot of our fantasies in this book. The Hayes men are hot and so delicious. In a Little While is a fun quick read when you want the spice but don’t have a lot of time. Penelope can’t write the heck out of taboo RH. I definitely wouldn’t be mad if we revisited Maura and her men in a longer book. Fun read, definitely worth the read!
If you are looking for something quick and SPCIY read this NOW. The things this novella gave in just about a hundred pages was nuts. It has that touch of forbidden and oh did I mention two of the three men are TWINS.. annnddd all three are brothers! I mean come on! Maura was fun and each of the guys brought their own quirky aspects to the dynamic. I would be remiss to not mention my desire for a large group scene, but even so was a fantastic little read! Definitely adding them to my list of reasons to love the Irish.
