Bad for a Weekend

Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author Misty Walker comes an age gap, forbidden full-length standalone romance.

Owen Rollins’ life mission is to protect the young and innocent. But when he took the job to protect Baylor Giles, he miscalculated the situation.

Baylor may be young, but she’s not innocent. The way she prances around in her cheerleader skirt, throwing her coy smile his way. . .
No, she's not innocent at all.

Still, he has a job to do, and he needs to remain focused. The threat to Baylor’s life is real, and he can’t let what happened last time happen again. Even if it would feel so good to show her the punishment for naughty girls who flirt with their bodyguard.

Nothing can happen. His resolve is firm, and his fortitude is unyielding.
Or is it?

Baylor Giles was a carefree, fun-loving teenager until that terrifying night everything changed.

Then Owen came into her life.

He makes her feel safe for the first time in a long time. But she also feels other things for the much older man. . . things she shouldn’t. And no matter how many times he turns her down, she knows he wants her too.

She’ll never convince him to be her forever, but can she convince this good guy to be bad for a weekend?

Many of us love the naughtiness of age gap romances and the smuttier the better. But nothing tops a taboo read that has heart, believability and the kink we're all here for. Bad For The Weekend was fantastic.

My teenage heart is in pristine condition. I haven’t had a breakup. I haven’t faced rejection. I haven’t even had sex yet. I’ll be damned if I let an unrequited romance be my first scar.

Eighteen year old Baylor Giles may live a life of luxury thanks to a famous father, yet she's no spoilt brat. And when her life is threatened, a bodyguard is required. Baylor isn't thrilled by the notion, but she's smart enough to accept the protection.

He's professional, surly and a hint broken. Yet Owen Rollins has experienced far too much. Working personal security is his first real attempt at regaining a sense of normality. Where he may want to keep Baylor at arm's length, it's difficult since he genuinely likes and admires her.

“I’ll say it again. You’re a good guy. But being good all the time is boring.”

The threats are real and Owen has his work cut out for him. I appreciated that Baylor didn't make the situation worse. Her maturity just added to the appeal. So when it begins with a stolen kiss, you know them hooking up is inevitable. It feels right.

“I’m asking for three nights. During the day you can be a grumpy asshole. But after everyone’s gone to bed, you drop the act and do everything you’ve ever dreamed about to me.”

Ooh, Owen was definitely on the right side of dominant, without bordering on eye rolling BDSM. Just enough to make it feel sexy. I really liked these two together especially because the age gap felt insignificant, and they understood why being together was wrong.

Finally a worthwhile age gap that was action packed, had depth and plenty of chemistry to keep you invested and turned on. It exceeded my expectations.

I have enjoyed the Blurred Lines series. Bonus there hasn't been a Misty Walker I haven't enjoyed

Trauma knows trauma, while Owen is hired to be Baylor’s bodyguard. They have an instant connection. Both have gone through so much in their lives. They have such a profound emotional connection. Both have given through so much in their lives.

I have to be honest; I didn't expect the book to be filled with so much emotion. I swear, from sixty-eight percent on, I was either crying or on the verge of crying. I thought the letters were going to break me. Evil Genius is what I will now call the author.

Of course, no Misty Walker book is complete without steamy spicy scenes. I swear she writes some dirty heroes—my favorite.

I absolutely loved reading this book and series. If you love reading about crossing blurrier lines and morally grey this book is for you.

Owen and Baylor. A bodyguard romance. Age gap. A dash of angst and a whole lot of spice. I thoroughly devoured this book!

Baylor (Age 18) is the daughter of a famous actor and with that comes some hardcore reality.
Baylor was kidnapped from what everyone thought was a deranged fan possibly.
She’s in the public eye. She’s pretty. And she’s getting threats from someone…
Her father with huge guilt hires a bodyguard.
Owen. (Age 32) is trying to piece his life back together after a horrific and life altering moment in his life. In therapy and having a new job, being the babysitter to some teenager wasn’t life goals for him but when these two get to know eachother , they realize they have something in common. PTSD. Panic Attacks. Anxiety.

I didn’t realize how emotionally charged this book would be. It’s way more than just smut. These two are slowly intertwined into eachothers souls.

“Equal amounts of shame and desire course through my body. She’s barely legal and in a completely different stage of life than I am. I have no business being this drawn to her.”

“I’m asking for three nights. During the day you can be a grumpy asshole. But after everyone’s gone to bed, you drop the act and do everything you’ve ever dreamed about to me.”

“Come on, Owen. Be bad with me.”

These two have one night of fire. Everything Baylor ever wanted in a man, it’s all in Owen. But Baylor and Owen met in a time where they still had their own healing to do from their tragic pasts.
And a push and pull. It’s angsty. It’s emotional. And this book brings a lot of hard topics so check the trigger warnings.
It’s a romance. A good one. With an HEA.

4.5 STARS!
"You and I were destined to end up like this, no matter how we fought."
So I admit that the title of this one had my expectations in the basement. To me, titles that explain the book's content indicate quickie smut reads, like the author put about as much effort into naming the book as the book itself.

Well, ha! The joke was on me in this case. Because this was freaking awesome.
He gave me that kiss, and now it's mine forever.
There was plenty of depth here and I felt every angsty moment between Baylor and Owen down to my toes. This was age gap done amazingly well!

I admit, however, that I hated the events near the end . . . but I'm not going to be a dick and round down, because it's a personal preference thing.

Definitely worth reading if you love a good bodyguard age gap!

I feel like this had a lot of potential to be really good: bodyguard, age gap romance with a little daddy kink thrown into the mix, it should have been an immediate slam dunk for me. Especially with that iconic Tswift line for the title. But that being said, I really couldn't stand Owen. I felt for him and his tragic past (and I did love how the author showed just how school shootings impact mental health. Especially with how often they occur in the US) but that's where my respect begins and ends with him. He immediately feels an attraction to Baylor, and though she is 18, she's still in high school, not to mention his boss is her father. And on top of all of that, she has a super stalker who already has kidnapped her breathing down her neck. Girl has a lot going on, so he tries like hell to stay away from her.. until he gives in. And look, that was all well and fine, she's an adult despite their age gap and it was completely consensual, but Owen didn't have any balls. At all. He would sleep with her, freak out what happened and about the age gap, and then hurt her and leave. And repeat. It got to the point that even though they exchanged 'I love yous' nothing was going to make him stay -- even WHEN he had her father's approval as well. He STILL walked away from her. Hes supposed to be this badass man who loves Baylor beyond anything else, but he continuously breaks her heart and leaves her behind. I just couldn't do it. I was actively hoping a major twist would come and he would see her happier than ever with someone else and he would just be alone forever-- THATS how mad he made me. And don't even get me started on the fact that he only went after her a final time was because she initiated contact, AGAIN. Seriously, fuck this dude.

I liked Baylor well enough, but she should have said thank you next after that club scene. And then again when he leaves her at the hospital. I don't care how good the sex is, when the man who supposedly loves you leaves you over and over again, he obviously isn't the one for you.

Speaking of the sexy parts, it was steamy. But because I hated Owen so much and couldn't connect with them as a couple, it just fell really flat.

I seem to be the only one feeling this way about this book, and that's fine. But I just really couldn't with this dude. He's seriously the worst.

Deliciously sexy, surprinsgly emotive, and brimming with forbidden tension and angst! Bad for the Weekend is my kind of naughty- this age gap/body guard love story has sizzling steam and the right balance of heartfelt sweet.

The tropes of this story were an instant oneclick for me- age gap, forbidden, body guard, heroine in danger?! GIMME! And Misty delivered on all of those, but there was also a surprising emotional depth to this story too, one I didn't quite expect but that also gave the story an added and appreciated layer of substance. It tempers the edge of the taboo in a really delightful way by providing such an emotional complexity to these characters' connection with each other.

Owen is deliciously alpha and protective, and I loved how he struggles with the lines he's crossing. His own history and trauma inspire a real and formidable connection with her heroine, and their shared moments of vulnerability supersede any societal or professional boundaries...blurring lines. I really loved a hero like this- strong, intense, alpha, and stoic, but really emotionally open, with his own fragility. And while Baylor's sass at times chaffed, she's also a teenager, and to be fair, she's pretty mature for her age given both her privileged upbringing and her response to her traumatic kidnapping. As much as it is a romance, this is also a coming of age story for her, and a tale of two characters working their baggage in their shared lived experiences. It's emotive and rich, but also action packed- I love nothing more than seeing a hero protect a heroine.

Of course we have lots of sexy stuff, and a few twists along the way. Because of the narrative constructive, my only gripe is that our characters spend much of the story apart/not together. It ups the angst and anticipation, but makes this a much slower burn feeling AND made me crave a bit more content of the "falling" in love. Though the chemistry is certainly there.

Another amazing addition to the Blurred Lines series- which I have just adored. If you're looking for a forbidden story with a lot of heart, this one certain takes the cake.

I have to be at work in four hours but I stayed up all night reading this because it was so captivating. I loved how the characters were brought to light. It didn’t feel like an age gap story at all. More like two people who have been through some pretty serious trauma working their way through it. I’m absolutely in love.

⚠️Check triggers⚠️

After Baylor Giles is kidnapped, her father hires Owen Rollins as her personal bodyguard. Owen is committed to protecting people, but a tragedy in his past took him away from helping others. He understands Baylor on a different level and can relate to going through a traumatic experience. Owen was prepared to protect Baylor no matter what, but he wasn't prepared to fall in love with her.

This was a sweet read that is perfect for anyone who loves bodyguard romances with an age gap. Owen and Baylor have a sweet connection. Bonded through a mutual understanding of trauma, they find solace in talking with one another and in each other's arms. I enjoyed them as a couple, but I did feel like something was missing from their connection. It felt like they connected a lot of paper and then were telling us how connected they were. I wish we would've seen more of their connection building.

Owen was a different kind of hero, but I enjoyed him. I was frustrated at times with how he would react to things, but I think that his reactions were very true to the real world. As someone who struggles with her mental health, and has trauma, it can be incredibly frustrating to not feel like yourself. You can feel weighed down at times and hopeless. I love that Owen worked on himself in therapy (truly king behavior right there) and understood he had to work through his challenges in order to be a better partner.

Please read TW/CW because this book isn't for everyone and contains darker themes. So if it's not for you, it's not for you. ⚠️⚠️⚠️

I am so obsessed with the blurred lines series and this was another good book. Owen is a hero who saved people's lives in a school shooting and became a bodyguard for a celebrity's daughter. She was held captive and he was always there to save her. The slow attraction between the two was just well written and they bonded over some trauma or anxieties and it's pretty sweet. Pretty much they comfort each other because they are each others solace.

The slow tension builds up and he does his darndest to stay away from Baylor, but it's frickin hard cause she's protecting her. Baylor is bratty and Owen is a daddy-dom. When that tension snaps. Holy Fu-.

Owen believes in doing the right thing, but he just wants what's best for Baylor. It's not just the seggssual, but it has a lot of emotions, and he is already a broken man dude. Give this man a break! I just love how their romance develops in the end. I would recommend this bodyguard romance that's forbidden, with some fluff. If you love these:

🤵He's an alpha Body guard hero
🤵14 year age gap
🤵 Shes a virginia
🤵Jealous and possessive
🤵Forbidden romance
🤵Forced proximity

Oh to be bad for just one weekend was just not enough.

Dive into this steamy suspenseful read that will take you to all the highs.

Thoroughly enjoyed these characters and their growth.

With any age gap we see some differences of maturity levels and although some came to be here, for the most part both main characters suited each other very well.

The spice level was off the charts. Completely over the top but sooo delicious.

Loved the banter with all characters as well.

Definitely a read that will keep you warm these chilly days!

Owen Rollins is good at his job so when assigned to protect a girl named Baylor Giles he figures no problem. It might help take his mind off his own issues. Boy was he wrong. She isn’t what he thought she would be. Can he stay professional or will these two damaged souls find solace in each other? You will get more that a steamy romp within these pages as there is an emotional story these two characters are going through too. This is part of the blurred lines series and can be read as a stand-alone. A slower paced taboo romance with serious topics attached within. May have some trigger topics. Told in dual POV

Owen is hired to protect the young, not so innocent Baylor Giles after something happens, and she's all kinds of temptation. I have to say that I wasn't quite down with the situation to be honest, but that's just me. There's a real threat to her life, so Owen has to be on his game to keep her safe but you already know things will get complicated. He's a daddy-dom which isn't my jam, but it's just what the doctor ordered for Baylor. The sparks are flying, and she's a tad bratty so there are things that he's dying to do. I'm trying to keep this review as vague as possible since I don't want my opinion (which is just that, an opinion) to give people any preconceived notions. Both Baylor & Owen are broken people so maybe just maybe the broken pieces they carry will make a whole together but I'll never tell. On top of that situation, there's still suspense that had the twists coming in hot, and I can say it was my favorite thing which kept me from putting it down at any point. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This story begins with an intense scene. Baylor, daughter of a famous actor has been kidnapped and is being held captive.
Very quickly she’s saved, but the threat is still very much an issue and a serious threat.
Into her world walks Owen, her new bodyguard and he happens to be an extremely hot “older guy.”
This is a super yummy, forbidden romance, forced proximity that’s Oh, so extremely hot and sexy!
There’s a lot of angsty tension, taunting, teasing and drool worthy naughtiness throughout this entertaining and engaging story.
It’s a very well rounded story of two people dealing with the after affects of extreme situations they’ve experienced. Situations that caused them extreme emotion/mental issues that they are left to deal with.
The characters are really so likable, multi dimensional and they’re also lots of fun.
I love the sassy Baylor who’s also very intelligent and mature for 18 years old. She’s rarely uncompromising with the rules, I love that she’s mature enough to understand the seriousness of her situation. She pulls a few bratty things that are age appropriate and fit the story well.
I love Owen’s protective nature, his deep care and understanding of Baylor’s emotions, his softer side adds to his delectable sexiness.
He’s starting his life over after a few years of an emotional breakdown of sorts. He’s a bit lost and trying to find his new path in life.
Baylor brings sparkle and lightness to Owen’s life that he really needs. He makes her feel safe, secure and truly seen as someone very special. It’s a great aspect of this age gap, protector/forbidden romance.
The story has suspense, mystery and swoony moments. There’s never a dull moment between the nail biting suspense, the fun light times and the sexy push and pull between these very intense characters.
They have volcanic levels of simmering to completely explosive heated chemistry! They are beyond hot together.
The author always writes very original, unique and crazy, hot sexy scenes. Decadent and delicious. I tip my proverbial hat to the author for ALWAYS making the steamy and sexy scenes so unique and original.
It’s a rare thing (I really am in awe) to have read every book by an author and I never feel like I’m getting the same sex scenario or even similar characters. Every story, every character is new, fresh, unique and so very good!
The romance isn’t just physical, it’s very emotional and smart as well. I love these characters and the balance between a taboo relationship and a relationship with substance and depth.
The secondary characters are fantastic! I love them!
They bring warmth, lightness and some really great heartfelt moments.
I LOVE & ADORE this incredibly entertaining, smart and super naughty forbidden romance.

Not many people can write Forbidden romance like MW can. This had everything I was looking for and it was so steamy yet sweet, tense yet soft, sexy but with a deep layer of emotion both good and not so great. For all the age gap peeps out there this is a winner and should be added to your TBR's expeditiously. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book. There was low angst between the couple but there was lots of drama around them. Her dad and Brandy were awesome. I tried guessing the villain was and it wasn't until just before the big incident that I really started to think it was that person I had someone else in mind for a little bit of it.
It was really nice to see a well written father character. I feel like he was more balancing some are working. Was a good dad, attentive, had a good relationship with her. Didn't spoil her unnecessarily and I like that he wasn't always out trying to get her a stepmom.
I liked how she put her life experiences versus what people thought about her and her age at your perspective when Owen's brother tried to tell her she was a kid didn't really know much about the world and should be getting out more. Yes children of celebrities and wealthy people can be spoiled and have others do laundry and clean their car etc for them, but their hand many kids have seen and traveled the world have multiple languages and have to deal with invasiveness of the world watching their lives which probably makes some of them grow up or have different maturity level than other kids their age who don't have to deal with all that or experience that.

An age-gap, forbidden, FULL LENGTH NOVEL??? SOLD, GIMME THAT, I WILL CHERISH IT. Misty Walker is a new author for me, but safe to say that she is phenomenal. Do check the warnings before going further into the book. These might be triggering for you.

Baylor Giles, the FMC, is the daughter of a famous film star, who had been kidnapped but now they have rescued her. So, her dad decided to double the security, and guess what......our MMC, aka Owen, is one of her bodyguards😉 actually a new bodyguard. And oh la la, Bay's thoughts about Owen is finger lickin good😏😉

Okay, so one of the best things in this is that Bay sees what Owen is going through and vice versa, and they don't invalidate each other's feelings, like when Owen confided with Bay to tell about his panic attacks, that is such a beautiful portrayal.

Their first kiss is oh so beautifully hot and seductive ❤️‍🔥 they are soooo freaking sexy together, like OMG!!! The chemistry ❤️‍🔥🌶 and my God! Owen is a damn goooood dirty talker

When they are separated because Owen is a doofus, I cry and I get angry but I knew that there is many things left in the story. So, when the time transitions to 3 years layer and they meet again, it's like they were meant to be.

Daddy Owen is such a hottie, istg. I love his spicy letters, his vulnerable side, and his commanding side. But most of all, I loved how Bay is attuned with him.

This book is everything I needed, I loved it and it is recommended.

Cliffhanger? ❌️

Do I recommend? ✅️

Tropes: forbidden romance, bodyguard, age-gap

Owen Rollins has devoted his life to protecting the young and innocent. Taking the job to protect Baylor Giles didn't go as smoothly as he would have liked. She’s young but certainly not innocent as she seems determined to get in his pants. He's going to keep her safe because the threat to her life is real. He won't let the past repeat itself. He'll stay focused despite being able to admit he'd love to "punish" her for constantly flirting with him. Baylor seems determined to break his resolve. He makes her feel safe for sure but it's certainly not the only way he makes her feel. No matter what he says, she knows he wants her. She may not be able to convince him to give her forever but maybe she can get him to be bad for a weekend.

I never have to worry when I pick up a Misty Walker book and this book was no different. I knew it would be hot but it turned into so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, characters, heat and angst. It was time very well spent. I highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

I just don’t think this was a good pick for me. It sounded right up my alley.. age gap, body guard, y’know. But the chemistry felt lacking and there was a time jump that bothered me…
I think had the MMC been less wishy-washy, I would’ve liked it more. But the sex scenes were pretty top tier 🤷🏻‍♀️

3.5* Review for Bad For A Weekend By Misty Walker is a forbidden / taboo, age-gap romance about Baylor Giles and Owen Rollins. It is part of the Blurred Lines multi author series. This gets very steamy but it is also an emotional tale which deals with some difficult subject matters.

Baylor is the eighteen year old daughter of famous movie star Corey Giles and we first meet her after she has been drugged and abducted. After a successful rescue her father decides she needs a full time bodyguard as there is still a real threat to her life.

Owen is assigned as her bodyguard by his brother who owns a security company. This is a fresh start for him after a traumatic incident that happened four years ago and deeply affected him. He has struggled since and isn’t very happy about babysitting a teenager. He is broody but determined to do a good job, however, he doesn’t expect his instant attraction to Baylor. His over protective instincts kick in as he gets to know her.

They bond over their experiences and he understands what she is going through when the threats continue. He helps her when she is anxious and panics over her situation. They find comfort in each other and develop a great relationship. It is a slow burn as he fights his feelings for her and tries to keep it all professional because he knows she’s barely legal for all he wants to do to her. Owen tries so hard to do what he thinks is best for Baylor especially due to the age-gap and the fact that he is still in therapy for his PTSD.

Baylor is quite the brat at times and is very good at manipulating both her Dad and Owen.
She only feels safe when he is around and has no doubt she can persuade him to stay with her as she constantly tempts and teases him. She thinks she has come up with a great solution for their predicament but doesn’t consider the consequences. Their connection is explosive when she pushes him too far and he finally snaps.

“Come on, Owen. Be bad with me.”

The secondary characters bring some fun to proceedings. I thought Ziggy was a great best friend and he made me laugh with some of his comments. Owen turns out to be a daddy-dom which is a trope I don’t really like. I thought he was a bit young for this kink and was surprised Baylor liked it as she had such a good relationship with her father. The suspense kept my interest as I tried to work out who was after Baylor and I liked how the author concluded this couple’s story.

Okay…let me start this with some honesty. I don’t like the age gap trope, especially when the FMC is the young one. Something about it just never worked for me. I think it’s because the power differential between them seems even bigger when it’s an older man and younger woman. I chose to read this one because, well, Misty wrote it and I’m a huge fan. :)

Owen is assigned to Baylor as a bodyguard after a serious threat on her life resulted in her being kidnapped and seriously injured. Their chemistry was instant, but not only for the obvious reasons. Her resulting PTSD resonated with Owen because of his own horrific experiences. When he was able talk her down from a panic attack, she felt seen in ways she couldn’t articulate. And don’t we all want to be seen?

The story follows them for three years as Baylor grows from a scared almost 19 year old to a successful college student of 22. Baylor is strong, independent, smart and accomplished. I enjoyed her character arc from beginning to end. Owen is the best kind of book boyfriend. Hot, over protective and demanding. BUT…the most amazing thing about him is he that sought out therapy when his life was unraveling after a school shooting. This story was awesome at highlighting the helpfulness of therapy as a way of facilitating emotional healing.

Now don’t get it twisted, this is still a MW book, so the spicy scenes are SPICY. There’s some light dom/sub and daddy kink, so be prepared. Also, make sure to check trigger warnings and content warnings. Though this is a romance with a HEA, there are some dark topics explored.

This was such a great forbidden story!! The book is not that long but the story is very captivating and I loved Baylor and Owen’s interactions, their scenes together were really steamy and despite their age gap they were attracted to each other from the start.

Baylor was 18 but she was very mature and despite having a luxurious life she was very down to earth. She had a great relationship with her dad and their moments together were really nice. Her dad hired Owen as her bodyguard after some threats against them; at first they didn’t interact much but Baylor was always trying to make conversation with him so Owen finally started to open up.

Owen was 32 and thanks to his job he had been through really traumatic things so he just wanted to do his job and move on. They both shared some stressful situations and despite keeping his distance he was very attracted to Baylor so little by little they started getting close. Owen was very protective with Baylor and thanks to the things she was going through she knew they both needed each other’s comfort.

Baylor was very flirty with Owen and she knew he was also attracted to her so they shared a lot of playful scenes and Owen finally gave in to his feelings. Baylor knew what she wanted and despite being a bit inexperienced their scenes together were really hot and I loved how they complemented each other. Baylor was open to everything so Owen wasn’t afraid to show her how good they were together.

Thanks to their age difference and Owen’s past he felt like he didn’t deserved Baylor so they spent some time apart until Owen finally realized Baylor was what he wanted and that he was ready to be the man she needed and deserved. Despite their ups and downs I loved how things worked out for them and how both were in a place to make each other happy.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

"My feelings for her go far beyond what a bodyguard should feel toward their client."

This book was SO good and one of Misty Walker's best yet! I knew the moment I seen it was an age gap with a bodyguard I would be a goner. Owen and Baylor were just simply PERFECTION. I normally go for those bad guys in books, you know the ones. The ones who kind of treat the heroine like crap but also shower her in tons of compliments and possessiveness? Well Owen was the complete opposite and I fell for him HARD. He was SUCH a good guy. He knew he and Baylor were right for each other but he wanted to do right by her and by doing that it kind of hurt them both.
The sex? KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK, YES YOU DID MISS MISTY WALKER.

"The line between right and wrong is so blurred, I can't even make it out anymore"

And lets not forget the suspense. There is a stalker on the loose, trying to do everything in their power to hurt Baylor and her dad (who is a super famous actor by the way) so that is why Owen, her much older bodyguard, was introduced to her. Check your triggers because there are some tough ones in this book. The main one being school shootings. The parts that Owen was involved in with that was so intense. My heart BROKE reading them. And he was so so so good to Baylor. All he cared about was her. Owen is by far my favorite Hero out of all of Misty Walker's men because of how deep his love for Baylor was and what he did to prove it everyday.

"You're special. The kind of person who deserves to stand out in a crowd"

Now lets talk about those side characters because baby, THEY ALL NEED BOOKS!
Hayden, Owen's broody brother? GIVE THAT SEXY MAN A BOOK.
Brandy, the hilarious and voluptuous house maid? GIVE HER A BOOK THIS SECOND!!! (Preferably WITH Hayden! Once you read her you will see. She can give him a run for his money!)
Corey, Baylor's overprotective handsome actor of a dad? HE NEEDS A BOOK AND I KNOW JUST WHO WITH!
Ziggy, the adorable and funny gay best friend. I WANT HIM AND COREY TOGETHER!! He has a crush on her dad and this would be the most AMAZING age gap MM ever!!!! Best friends dad? check!

This book was just so so good and this world is so incredible I never want it to end so make this a series because I want more glimpses of this couple!!!!

This one is for all of us forbidden romance lovers! Bad for a Weekend by Misty Walker has a perfect title. It was sexy and dirty with scorching hot chemistry threatening to melt your kindle. But Owen and Baylor's story also has an emotional depth that would capture your heart.

Baylor Giles is about to graduate high school but her fun, free and innocent life is darkened by threats made to her Hollywood superstar father. He decides to hire bodyguard for Baylor. It is first bodyguard assignment for ex cop Owen and he cannot mess it up as it is his chance to get his messy life on course. But Baylor is temptation and Owen adores her body and soul. Can they be bad for a Weekend or will it cause irreparable damage to their hearts?

I appreciate how the author made our alpha hero real and relatable by adding a complex past, psychological issues and emotional vulnerability. This is what made me fall in love with this character. He is a protector and dominating and possessive man but he also has broken pieces. Baylor has been this bubbly carefree almost nineteen year old girl but the trauma left her shaken and scared. And the shared experiences helped them to bond together. The sexual tension was so thick and they were bound to explode at one point. But Owen has not worked through his emotional issues yet and he was not ready to give Baylor everything she deserves. And of course she was supposed to be off limits and he felt guilty. It broke both their hearts but heartbreak only makes the second chance sweeter. Baylor was such a mature and fierce girl but she had young heart. I feel she really saw Owen beyond his vulnerability and helped him to heal. The sex scenes were scorching hot because daddy Owen knows his way in bedroom. He really made Baylor safe and cared for at the darkest times..and he more than made up for his stubborn decisions.

INCREDIBLE

Misty Walker does it again!

In this wonderfully entertaining taboo novel, she brings Baylor and Owen to life so well it’s like reading a friend’s journal. The pair are completely fire and ice, yet they have so many common themes it shattered my heart when time had past for them.

You grow to love them, you grow to cheer and scream for them, and the spice is so so delicious 🤤

The plot twist threw me so far from left field I know that it is one that NO ONE can see coming no matter how much they pretend to. It also fit so well that I didn’t understand HOW I didn’t realize it! But when it hits it hits hard.
