Neville Goddard's collection of 10 books, put together in a neat chronology has been an amazing journey of more than a month for me. I can vouch that reading Neville can change a lot of neural circuits of the human psychology. I have never read such a seamless interpretation of religious texts, and the profound symbology behind them.
The continuous quest of a human mind of finding relevance, identifying with the patterns, reading the symbols in order to lead to a territory they can claim to be their unique existence. Neville has addressed the calling of a human mind to continuously look out for answers, he has redefined the idea of 'seeking inside'.
The continuous rhythm throughout the reader develops a pivot in a human mind to oscillate around his own consciousness to recognise the God within. I have never come across such a powerful thought process of explaining human existence.
Some of the quotes from the book include, 'believing is seeing', 'symbols follow, they do not precede' challenge the regular thinking patterns in our brains and hence need a continuous crescendo of thoughts to wire and rewire. The collection keeps up to the core idea throughout the text spread across ~600 pages. The core idea of consciousness being the only driving force, and the sorcerer of our fantasies.

To say that this book has been life changing would be an understatement. This book took everything I've known and believed since childhood and turned it on its head. I'd recommend it to everyone, except that I know I probably wasn't ready to read it until now. So, if you're feeling restless, like there has to be more to life than what you know, if you're current belief systen doesn't feel like it's enough, that there's something missing from it, then pick up this book or just search for the first book in the anthology (you can find all the ebooks free as in free with a quick Google search), At Your Command. See if it speaks to you, even a little. If it does, read the book. If you're not completely sure, or you're struggling with the ideas expressed in it, read the last book in the anthology, Your Faith Is Your Fortune, then move on to the others.

This is a book I know I will be rereading repeatedly.

Neville Goddard was one of the most extraordinary mystic philosophers of his time, and of any age. His work contains a timeless account of human psychology with the Bible as a focal study. He does not believe in fate or destiny nor does he believe that certain people are meant for a certain life. He believed that we are all full of potential and masters of our own life. I do recommend his work even if it is just for fun. He was and still is a fascinating man.

This collection is not for the faint of hearted. It will give you a very different way of looking at Christianity. You will need a very deep biblical understanding and the mind of a philosopher to be able to actually get into it properly. But if you manage those to it's a paradise shifting book about your belief and faith.

This is a complete version of all Neville Goddard's lectures and talks. It has been edited 'for clarity' but to be honest, I prefer the original, unedited versions because I found the changes in text too distracting.

And sometimes, meanings changed.

Neville Goddard has symbolically interpreted the Bible in ways I’ve not seen in theology books. His formulas and suggestions are brilliant ways to create a future worth living. My point of view is not Christian, yet I was able to practice and implement his methodology and achieve the “conscious reaction of complete victory” he references. Very impactful for me.

Though there were certainly many gems in this book; I found it painfully repetitive!! It was sooo hard to finish because of how repetitive and dragged on it felt. I would recommend reading Neville's books one at a time as opposed to this reader. Just my personal opinion ;)

The bible as a psychological drama. Consciousness as God. A walk through all of the thoughts of Neville Goddard proved original and perspective shifting.

Neville Goddard: The Complete Reader, edited by Barry Peterson, is a spiritual masterpiece that distills the essence of conscious creation, imagination, and divine self-realization. Bringing together all ten of Neville Goddard’s seminal works, this volume serves as both a sacred text and a practical guide for seekers committed to understanding the creative power of the human imagination.

From Feeling Is the Secret to The Power of Awareness, Goddard’s writings illuminate the timeless principle that consciousness is the only reality that the outer world is a mirror of inner belief. Each book explores this truth from a different facet: imagination as creation, faith as power, and awareness as the bridge between thought and manifestation.

What makes this collection exceptional is its completeness and accessibility. Peterson’s editorial vision gives readers not only the full scope of Goddard’s work but also space to internalize it with note pages that encourage reflection and spiritual practice. It’s both a study manual and a devotional companion.

For long-time followers, this compilation is a treasure chest of insight; for newcomers, it’s a transformative initiation into Neville’s world of mental alchemy and metaphysical truth. Like scripture for the modern mystic, The Complete Reader invites readers not just to believe, but to know through experience that “imagination creates reality.”

This is an absolute treasure for anyone interested in the power of consciousness, imagination, and manifesting reality through the mind. This collection brings together all of Neville’s most influential works, making it a comprehensive and essential resource for both new and longtime students of his teachings.

Neville’s philosophy is simple yet profoundly transformative—our imagination is God, and by mastering our ability to assume and persist in desired states, we can shape our external reality. His teachings, deeply rooted in scripture but presented with a metaphysical lens, strip away limiting beliefs and place the creative power directly in the hands of the individual.

What makes this collection invaluable is its completeness. It allows the reader to see the evolution of Neville’s thought process across different books and lectures, reinforcing his central theme: Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and reality must conform. His clarity, conviction, and personal anecdotes make these teachings accessible and inspiring.

This is my personal favorite, and I always keep a copy of this book with me wherever I go. It’s not just a collection of words—it is a manual for awakening to one’s true creative potential. Highly recommended for spiritual seekers and anyone looking to take control of their destiny.

10 Audiobooks that I'll count as 1.

I'm not 100% boned up on who the first person to say "see it in your mind, and eventually reality will reorganize itself in that way", but Goddard is one of the earliest to do so. As far as self-help gurus go, Goddard is one of the few that smacks of "this is how I live actually".

You have people like Joe Dispenza out there making big money pushing this style of teaching even now, but Mitch Horowitz is the only modern author who even credits the older generation.

My favorite piece of Goddard's philosophy is the esoteric reading of the Bible. Assume you are the Son of God, and then view the passages of the Bible as such.

For an example, see the idea of the Virgin Birth being the process of higher consciousness born out of lower unconsciousness, and it's replicability in all people.

It mostly makes me want to read The Bible, but I'm looking for the right copy to start that.

Having recently completed Neville Goddard's 'The Complete Reader,' I must say that I found the books to be truly inspirational and enlightening. As someone who is not particularly religious, I was pleasantly surprised by the profound lessons that encouraged me to believe in the possibility of transforming my present life for the better. Goddard's teachings instill a sense of faith in the existence of higher powers in the universe, beyond our comprehension. The books have left a lasting impact on me, and I am eager to revisit them in the future. Overall, 'The Complete Reader' offers a refreshing perspective on life and the potential for positive change.

There are so many good books out there, but this one got the most key factors to help us to create the kind of life we dream of. I think the most challenge thing in life is to correct our mind and keep the faith to the unseen really and to believe in our vision. Neville always said that we should give it a go, try it to see if this knowledge is true. And I couldn't agree more, so, I try it, and it works.

The single most influential work that has profoundly changed how I view and see the world, others around me and how I see myself in relation. This book will surely prove to be inconceivably radical to some - and for good reason, as the collection of books seeks to meticulously peel apart the very foundation you have likely built your entire life and identity upon, layer by layer and brick by brick until there is nothing left. The good part? You can build anew. And you should.

Perhaps there could be a version for those who are not really interested in the bible or have hardly read it. You know people who grew up exposed to other religions or are not religious at all? Also, what's up with assuming your target audience to just be men? A gender neutral non biblical edition might've been better IMHO

It took me a minute to get past my own battles and preconceptions about some of the biblical references, but now this book has become so personal and valuable to me, and I find whenever I pick it up, it seems to complement the very thing I'm working on in my life. If you dig synchronicities and imagination work, highly recommend.

Finally finished!! It was 10 books in 1 (122 chapters). The information got repetitive after a while but it was going to happen since it is 10 books of the same topic. But the information can be life changing.

This is a hard one to rate. Not only did it take me nearly a year to finish but also the writing oscillates from clear to confusing and wordy. To be fair, it is ten books in one. The ideas overcome the poor and unclear writing.
