Before retiring from the active practice of law at age 52 to sail around the globe on a mega yacht and write books, Peter Antonucci was a commercial litigator in the New York City offices of two of the largest law firms in the world. He served as national counsel in hundreds of class action consumer fraud and pharmaceutical liability cases, published over three dozen professional articles, one book (on punitive damages), and numerous chapters in other legal periodicals. In 2012, Peter was awarded the American Bar Association's Sen. Edmund S. Muskie Lifetime Pro Bono Service Award.

Peter has visited over 100 countries, traveled to Antarctica three consecutive years, and holds a Guinness Book of World Records certificate for having been a part-owner and passenger of a boat that traveled to 78°43’-99.7” S, 163° 41’ 42.1” W in 2017, the southernmost point ever reached by a vessel, surpassing the previous records set by Amundsen, Shackleton, Ross, Scott and Hillary, his heroes of Antarctic exploration.

Whether at the beach, by the pool or anywhere else, this book is a fun read! Having left the courtroom in his rear view mirror, Antonucci weaves a fantastically colorful story about billionaires who lie and cheat each other. What’s new about that? Well, they do it while sailing on their own mega yacht through the Mediterranean! Making this book especially interesting is the way Antonucci meticulously describes remote ports in such detail. You feel you are on the journey with the characters. With his uncanny ability to develop the lead characters in the book – many of which are women – he makes it clear sordid and scandalous behavior is something he came upon during many of his travels. I could not stop reading.
This book is a must add to your summer 2022 reading collection. Enjoy!

A light and fun read

This reminds me of a Danielle Steele novel- lots of rich, sexy people. Only one irritation—- wish he’d send me his final draft because I found numerous misspelled, skipped or wrongly used words😩

Not at all what I expected. Interesting if I would like to start a similar business. Too many boring details of how to set up e company.
In the end I gave up and stopped reading.

I sooo wanted have this second book live up to the hype from the first story, but it definitely did not! I did enjoy the added characters & plot lines involved with them, but why waste so much time retelling points from the first novel!?! Very confused but I’m willing to read #3 to see if the series ends satisfactorily.

Inside a Billionaire’s Cruise

Scandal at Sea: Billionaires in the Deep, loosely based on actual events, is an intriguing premise that the book didn’t live up to. I love books that are so gripping that I hate to put them down, but this wasn’t one of them. If there was an editor of this book, it wasn’t evident. I feel duped that I paid money, to a billionaire, to read a book no one cared enough about to hire a decent editor. I’d have to be paid to read another book by this author.
