He’s chosen her as his Wolf Queen. Now she must become the kingdom’s fiercest warrior…
Reyna’s status as Queen of Nightfall may be official, but she is still learning to trust her partnership with the fearsome Wolf King. And now the Fae have returned to the lands of Frasia, threatening Elias’ power.
Without magic, the wolves will need strong allies to defeat their enemy. To prove his faith in his new Queen, Elias tasks Reyna with the honor of bringing together an army of shifters, except not everyone in the court thinks that war is the answer.
As Reyna begins to build trust with others in the Realm, and a sense of her place in the Wolf court, the Fae deliver a brutal blow. With their only choice being to surrender or fight, Reyna must draw on strength she didn’t know she had. Especially when her enemy is willing to take everything from her…
Overall, a decent way to end the story. Reyna and Elias were both portrayed much better in this one with both of them acting like adults. The ending was good and nothing that I didn't expect. There was one twist that I didn't see coming and it was cool only for it to never be elaborated on or explained which irked me. Yeah a lot plot holes/lack of world-building which is annoying when it's the last book in a series cause now I'll never get the answers I'm looking for.
This book was good, but it was boring at the beginning. It started out slow, and there really wasn’t much action until close to the end. Now that Reyna is queen she’s having to learn how to fill that role. She would like to show her kingdom that she can be a good queen for them and is introduced to the court by her husband Elias would like to give his queen more responsibility in the court. Reyna gathers some of her handmaiden’s and soldiers, and leaves her pack to talk to the Eagles about alchemy. Alchemy is a dying art, and there aren’t very many people that practice the craft. It has been rumored that the eagles still possess the magic of alchemy and Reyna is hoping to bring it back to her pack to fight against the Fae. There was definitely a lot of action on her travels to see the Eagles, the Eagles themselves were very interesting shifter group, and there was definitely a lot of action when she got back to her kingdom. I liked the end of this book. I hope there’s another book in the series because this one seemed a little bit open ended.
Such a fun series! I love the world building in this trilogy. I blitzed all three in two days and loved them. Reyna is such a fun, feisty, and strong MC who had me laughing in many parts. I will say book one was definitely my favorite, but Reyna comes into her own by book 3 and is a force to be reckoned with. This book is really where all the trials and building with Reyna come through. She stands out as a Strong Female Lead and really shines in this world. I love the female strength displayed here also with her friends and General. They are so much fun and love them taking charge. The final battle is where it is at. Fantastic description and I was really pulled into it. All in all, this series was a joy to read and the world was lovely to live in. If you want a simple quick read to get you out of a slump with a little spice, this is the series for you. Short, sweet, a little spicy, SFL, and HEA. Gotta love it, great job Lindsey.
It was boring. Nothing really happened in the beginning. The biggest scandal was that they expected her to bear children. Which you would think is a no brainer. Then ends up traveling to the eagles. Obviously learns out how to save the day and achieves doing so. The whole book just lacks true information. Even the ending, she discovers new powers fighting the fae queen, but after that her powers are pretty much forgotten. No clue if they're going to stick around, since a moonstone activated it. Her and Elias just continue to rule their kingdom. All these questions left unanswered. Which is honestly frustrating. This book is short. To write another book would just be milking the series.

Reyna (at long last) comes into her own as a main character, strong woman, and worthy leader! Yes, the beginning drags a bit, but the story eventually becomes engrossing. I especially appreciate the evolution of all the women; each one adds to the story. Never thought I'd say this about a PNR read, but a good half of the sex is just unnecessary filler; the word count could have been used to detail some of the magical systems, perhaps offering a view of what the return of magic would like for the future. The final battle is epic and both tragic and triumphant. Invoking the magic of the gift is part of a suitably dramatic scene; I just wish more attention and follow-up to this new power was offered for the reader. There are the usual editing/proofing fails that marred the series, but the storytelling shines, despite the realistically banal future for Reyna and Elias that is presented. I truly enjoyed this series!
With her marriage to the Wolf King Elias, Reyna becomes his Wolf Queen and is expected to now become the kingdom’s fiercest warrior. She still doesn’t trust Elias, however. And with the Fae returning to Frasia, she is needed to carry out her role even more. Elias asks Reyna to gather a shifter army, but some of the court does not want war.
Reyna tries to fit in and build a rapport with others in the Realm, but the Fae disrupt her progress. They must either surrender or fight, and that burden falls on Reyna who is expected to tap into strength she is still not sure about. Will she surprise even herself? Or will the Fae take everything away from her?
What a book. Reyna really finds herself this time round & her relationship with Elias goes from strength to strength. She also tentatively builds a realtionhip with her newly discovered father. Her friendships with Fina & Adora (who has turned out to be her half sister) is solid & all 3 discover new strengths within themselves. I really hope this isn't the end of this brilliant series. I'd love to see more of all of these characters. Now that Nightfall has become alies with both the Jaguars & the Eagles I'd like to see the ties build & strengthen between the 3 shifter nations. Are there any dragons left? Also can the shifters & the Fae under the rule of their new King live in harmony?
I will say, there is a little bit of everything in this 📚 book. Love Reyna…but thought 💭 thru the end of book 1 and he beginnings of book 📖 2, that she was being totally irrational an sort of bother me..a lot. Also there are some editing errors in the books. Also it would being nice to read Elias thoughts and have further information an the power or abilities she got and the big question referring to magic around the different shifters, in general it was a really goo story.
The FMC continued to kill my nerves, it took me awhile to actually complete the book. I'm glad that I did, it got really good about half-way through and really showed her improvement as queen and diplomat for her country. Her determination to be self-reliant and viewed as a strength was inspiring despite the lack of trust from the crown's council. It really showed the character development for her as well as her friends and the changes they undergo throughout the trilogy.
I'm a complete #TeamJacob Girly so wolf shifters have ALWAYS been my thing! I LOVED this fantasy trilogy like you would not believe, jam packed and ticked all the boxes!

Although it did leave some things unresolved. The first being, “What was the prophecy?” It was a major issue in the previous book that the daughter of Starcrest (pack) would marry ‘the bloody king’. Surely there should have been more to it than that? The other thing I wanted to know about was all those fey artefacts underneath the palace/ manor. Why bring them into the story and then not use them? So yes it’s a good story it with loose ends.
Good closure to the series but had higher hopes for the ending
I’ve been waiting so very impatiently for the third and final book in this series. Overall, I feel it was a bit drawn out at certain parts, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The ending left me wanting a bit more. I’m really hoping for an eventual spin off or some type of extension? Great series overall. I would re-read.
I’m sorry, I didn’t love it to begin with, it was okay. I wanted do you at least know how it ended. I normally have no issue jumping back into a series when the new book is released but I cannot finish. I am at 25% and I am not impressed and I hate to say that about books. Sorry. The characters took a turn in their development and not for the better. Boring. Sorry.
What a great book. The author really has a great way of pulling the reader in, like they are right there. I'd have loved a little epilogue with a small glimpse of their personal futures but that's just me never wanting the story to end. The trilogy is highly recommended.
The story seemed to have a good amount of action and interpersonal relationships yet I just didn’t find it compelling. One of the most poignant scenes was when the Queen spontaneously shifted into a wolf to mourn the deaths of pack members and those surrounding her joined in. Most of the time she was just annoying.
Oh, and grizzly sight s/b grisly sight. We’re not looking at a bear. Lots of other mistakes that should have been caught by editing but that one stuck with me.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the conclusion to Reyna & Elisa’s love story. Watching Reyna overcome her upbringing and come into her own in this series was so wonderful. I’d love to see the series continue with some side characters stories as well!
This series started strong. I just felt that there was too much of a lull. It got boring in between events. I feel like this series could have been a duet instead of a trilogy.
This story is very much a fantasy world with a romance woven in. The HEA is very romance genre. The magic, fighting & quest are very fantasy genre. Together its very interesting & engaging. Not my typical but I liked it.
I really liked this whole series and seeing all of the characters grow and develop. The ending felt a little rushed though. I feel like there could be another book to hash things out. Anybody know if that is in the works?
This series was meh for me. I really like the first book but found the last two very slow. The main character was kind of whiny and I think there was too much focus on her insecurity and need to prove herself.
really enjoyed this series. a take on shifts and fae that I've not read before. fmc has great development. shes a bit annoying at times but she grew into a strong character with her brooding mmc. lots of drama and some gentle and frequent spice. id give it 2 chillis
This was a great book and the series was fantastic it is full of action from the very beginning and the mystery is so intriguing that you will not want to put it down
