As each evening passes, life in the Big Easy becomes increasingly complicated, at least it does for Sybella Rose, Vampire Queen of New Orleans. Sybella Rose and her friends uncover that the Binding was nothing more than a curse to control and eradicate vampires worldwide.

Now, she must unearth a way to abolish the curse and free vampires of faery manipulations, but she will need help. Unfortunately, the Touchets have been avoiding her, and it seems they harbor much-needed information about the Binding.

Will Sybella Rose lose her friends before she can destroy the Binding? Have their efforts been for naught?

I had the pleasure of beta reading this book. Having read the first two and absolutely loved them, I was more than happy to beta read the final installment.

As per the other books in the series, you can feel the author's love for New Orleans. It shows in her descriptions, in her characters and in everything even in how she carefully chooses her ingredients for spell and for the Voodoo store. When you read the books you get immediately immersed in the story, of course, but also in the city. It's almost as if you were visiting it.

Well written, the story has a dark feel about it. Vampires are dangerous creatures and Ms. Clapton doesn't shy away from showing us their true nature.

In this installment, we still follow Sybella Rose and Demien. They know what the binding was created for, and to save the vampires, they are working along with their friends to destroy the spell, even at the risk of losing the link that keeps them together.

Overall, an engaging story with a fabulous ending that I'd recommend to all vampires lovers.

Sybella Rose has found out she is half fae and is really starting to know all of what it means (not only to her but to others) what the binding means, and she is set to end it one way or another. As Sybella Rose looks for a way to abolish the binding she finds out her friends are not all they have seemed to be. No one ever said life in the big easy was easy, and Sybella Rose is going to find out exactly how hard it can be.

This is another wonderful book in The Binding series, and I hope we get more and more stories of this circle of friends. These characters are fun and very interesting, the book has action and a lot of suspense. The knowledge of New Orleans and their way of life is really good and always makes me homesick for my small apartment in New Orleans and the crawfish shack down the street. This is a good book and a great series if given a chance.

Sybella Rose and Demien the Vampire King are back in ANCESTORS where they have now uncovered that “The Binding” was nothing but a fae curse to control and eradicate vampires across the world and that the half-fae like Sybella were meant to destroy their powerful vampire mates. With the fae looming in the background and a portal that Sybella may have to open, the clock is ticking. There’s also a masked ball approaching and crazy wedding plans, because, of course! I love the world building in this series. Victoria Clapton does an amazing job of bringing vampire city New Orleans to life, as well as richly describing all aspects of the supernatural. In this book, we learn a lot more about the fae, and about Sybella’s parents as well. Of course I always enjoy seeing the side characters, Lysetta and Oliver, the Touchets, and there is a scene at the end that I especially loved! 5/5 stars.

I've read and adored the first and second books of The Binding trilogy and Ancestors is the perfect finale!
The characters leap off the page and join the reader, walking the sultry streets of New Orleans. From the Garden District, to the Treme, out to the bayou and back to the French Quarter...I savored every page and didn't want it to end. I'm reading it again!
I would recommend this series to anyone who loves vampires, the supernatural and feels that inexplicable love of anything and everything New Orleans!

I liked the beginning of the book.I thought it would last the whole way through.Somewhere in the middle I got lost, then by the end I was enjoying it again. Some parts were way too slow. The story seemed fun.Narration by Teresa Booth was so varied it was hard to review. Her real voice was fine. Her voices were rough, maybe with work they will improve.
I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Amazing

Another great read from Victoria Clapton.. Once again I was drawn in by the description of food, places, fae, events. I can't put this series down. I love the spotify playlist and well as how the vampires are doing the most funniest things but true to their nature..

Fantastic ride through New Orleans food, Fae, Vampyre’s witches and so much more. I can’t wait for the next book to come forth and remind me how much I love the Quarter!
