Whether your favourite medium is digital, traditional, or a mix of both, Stockholm-based Feefal will have used it to explore her unique world of anthropomorphised figures, animals in dream-like settings, and cool-girl magic.
Her spooky-cute style has been a constant throughout her career, amassing 870K dedicated Instagram followers who not only adore her art, but are always keen to know the stories and inspiration behind it. Now for the first time, Feefal has written a beautifully produced book, her work printed on high-quality paper, providing the chance to not only show what she does, but also how.
C'était beau, c'était intéressant, c'était percutant, c'était... Vraiment chouette !
I really love this art book. It's honestly great to have some insight into feefal's creative process, and the book is filled to the brim with amazingly pretty art pieces. Also, I didn't expect this, but there are lots of tips for (beginner) artists as well!
"[I]deas are cheap, and meant to be spent." I feel this can be applied to more than just visual art. Use your ideas, write them out or draw them, don't sit on them because you're too scared to execute them. A great philosophy which I'll attempt to apply to my life and creative outings from now on.
Be your own worst critic, but in small doses. Another piece of advice that I feel many people could benefit from. It's good to be able to see the mistakes you made; that means you're improving. Don't fret too much about them, but use them to "level up" your art.
"Be comfortable with the idea of creating unappealing and ugly art, because this is where most of the learning happens." Don't be afraid of making mistakes, they're needed to grow!
A lovely book to page through and marvel at, but also a great read, which makes this a 10/10 for me!
LOVED this book so much! I've followed Feefal for a long time admiring her works and ideas. It was a delight to read her down-to-earth perspective on art and life, in her own words.
The artist talks about her journey to becoming a professional, growing into her style, making a living, her favorite tools and mediums, favorite subject matter, and process. And of course, we can't forget that the book is full of gorgeous illustrations artfully nestled between blocks of text, which often provide a welcome pause to digest the artist's musings.
This is a fantastic read that really has everything I look for in an art book: an experience that is equal parts thoughtful and aesthetic.
Don't mind me over here staring at this beautiful book until I rot.
So excited to have my hands on this gorgeous piece of art. Absolutely over the moon about the quality and details that went into this. I enjoyed reading about Linnea's inspirations and processes (as you don't really get that from Instagram alone). I also really loved seeing her tutorials for various medias. I finally own a large collection of her art, and I couldn't be happier.
Love this book. The art is stunning and I find myself looking through it again and again. It's always interesting hearing the creative processes of other artists and their experiences. The formatting is really visually satisfying, I don't know how it explain it, but it appeals.
Also, I accidentally bought two copies online and I convinced a friend to take the other one solely by showing her a couple of the illustrations. She doesn't know anything about art. The girls are just really gorgeous.
I love how she sees things and explores. Like her plant characters. Where the plant is the character and not a character based on a plant! I love her girls. So feminine and yet so dark in some her pieces. I'm intrigued with her fascination with the life/death cycle.
A very unique artist! Her artwork is amazing and I like how she added a little bit about her art background and art process. If you like art that is cute, whimsical, and dark, this art book is for you.
This is such a beautiful art book, filled with lots of Feefal’s thoughts. I really enjoyed getting to know this artist more through her book, getting to learn about her world and inspirations, and reading though some of her process and tips.
So I saw a review of this book on YouTube and immediately had to buy it. Obviously no regrets here! It’s so full of information on process (which is helpful for aspiring artists) and such beautiful art! Absolutely loved it!
As an aspiring artist myself, this book is lovely. I've really enjoyed understanding Feefal's art journey - what made her and her art what it is today. I found inspiration and similarities with her as someone who likes to make art that's aesthetically pleasing rather vs fine art.
gorgeous collection of art and musings. feefal perfectly blends dark and spooky themes with cuteness and femininity. the cover piece with the gold foil is so beautiful!

Love her art style. Love her attitude to art and drawing. Highly intuitive and nothing fancy. Didn’t know she was Swedish! Great read and many learnings. I feel inspired.
Immediately read as soon is it arrived in the mail.
First off, I was completely blown away from how beautifully designed the book is. From the front and back cover, to each illustration showcased throughout the book from start to finish.
I should also state beforehand that Linnea Kikuchi is one of my top inspirational artists, so this may come off biased. This is also the first review I've ever written and posted, so bare with me if you will.
I was captivated by the illustrations and enjoyed the use of language throughout the entirety of the book. There was a lot for me to relate to and a lot for me to take in and learn from. There were moments that had me looking through a completely different lens and shed some light on my own insecurities.
Overall, I enjoyed learning and understanding the processes and growth of what came to be behind the art of Feefal. Refreshing and insightful, and I highly recommend to any beginner or struggling artists trying to find their way around in the art world.
