With all of those he chased dead except for Mathias Rule, Clint Earley starts for the Applegate Trail where Nina Ashmore is supposed to be waiting for him. Not knowing where Rule is, he feels guilty that he can’t keep his promise to his dead wife, but he’s also tired of the chase.
His new friend, Solomon Hughes, rides with him along the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California toward the new home Earley plans on making with Nina.

Earley and Hughes pulls no punches in their quest to bring justice to their adversaries!
Most definitely another five star masterpiece by one of my favorite authors, as the exciting excursions of Earley and Hughes strike with vengeance when necessary! No slow downs in this compelling series of ongoing western folklore adventures!
The Author's outstandingly descriptive storylines successfully maintains your undivided attention immediately and doesn't falter throughout the entire series of ongoing gunfighting excursions! Too, the superbly selections of characters are unsurpassed in their respective assignments throughout the entire series of ongoing western extravaganzas!
Definitely recommend this compassionately heartwarming series of unending excitement to everyone, and I assure you non-western enthusiasts to be completely entertained immediately and your undivided attention never wane!!!😃

Finally the deed is done! Revenge is complete.
Hugh is still with Clint but does he leave too early? A lot of riding— I guess this happens when you are trailing someone. You travel through the Mojave desert, deal with the Paiute Indians, ride through fires, make a stand against wolves, run into a grizzly bear, ride through the Sequoia giant trees, and do you find your woman and get your last revenge? Be sure and read this book to find out.

Determined
One of the great western writers, that I love to read. I've been reading western books for years and have been reading some of the greatest books, and I have to say these books, had to read everyone of them, to find out the ending. My hat is off to you sir. And thank you.

A good finish to the series
Clint decided to quit his search for the last man and go find Nina. More adventures along the way. Nina was kidnapped by the bad man and Clint had to save her.

A really great series
I've enjoyed this series from the start and looked forward to each and every tale as the series progressed. The author keeps the pages turning by cleaver use of great action with a lot of adventure mixed in. I definitely have a new author to follow.

Amazing storyline!
What a great ending to this one! Or is it? I hope not! Once again the author has given us a brilliant story with lots of action and I couldn't put it down! I might have to stay up late and read the next book!

I rather enjoyed the laid back, sort of laconic style of the writing.
