Xerxes: King of Persia

Rate this book
Since taking over the throne from his father, King Xerxes' chief goal was to defeat his ancient enemy, the same people who murdered his own father. After a series of failures, the Persian king desperately seeks a way to recover his reign. But as his war fails, and as treachery from within his own inner circle emerges, Xerxes begins to doubt everyone, even himself.

Surrounded by people he cannot trust, Xerxes begins to spiral. But what he wasn't expecting was to find the one woman who would change everything--including his own heart.

This is the Book of Esther retold, through the perspective of King Xerxes. It is a story where anything is possible, even in the midst of fear, destruction, and treachery.
