My name's Heidi Rice, I'm a USA Today Bestselling author. I'm married with two sons (which gives me rather too much of an insight into the male psyche!).

I love my job because it involves sitting down at my computer and getting swept up in a world of high emotions, sensual excitement, funny feisty women, sexy tortured men and glamourous locations where laundry doesn't exist ...

I also tutor a 14-week in-depth online Write a Romance Novel course. So, if you have ever wanted to learn how to write romance from a bestselling author, check it out here: www.profwritingacademy.com/course/wri...

Now I believe wholeheartedly that readers should give honest and open reviews on Goodreads and Amazon and elsewhere. If you didn't like a book you are entitled to say so (even if it's mine! ouch). But you may notice that none of my book reviews are less than four-stars. That's simply because as an author myself I know how pathetically sensitive I am about bad reviews and with that in mind I prefer to spread the love among other authors — and don't do public reviews of books I didn't like. Just thought I'd clarify that!

Now this is how you write a" Sheikh" romance unlike the one I read yesterday.
This couple was perfect together. The heroine feisty, secure in her family relationship, and the hero who stood his ground with the young beautiful Princess he labeled a spoiled brat.
His insecurities from his abused childhood shaping him to the man and Prince he is today.
I loved their interactions together, very combustible and their mutual passion just oozed on page.
From the moment the Prince rescued his Princess ,to their first night together,to the epilogue,I loved everything about this desert romance.
It was great reading about a prior couple,Zane and Catherine, her parents, and also mentions of other couples that made it full circle.

A very good book

This is a great book. The plot and characters were very well written. The h is the crown princess of her country, she is very good, sweet, impulsive and loving. She doesn’t think she is Queen material. The H is arrogant, strong, honorable and a good man. He has been selected to be the King of his country but he doesn’t feel worthy, he has become a self made billionaire. They meet and the chemistry is off the charts, once he discovers she is a virgin, he demands marriage. Both characters had to learn they were worthy and they found their HEA. Great epilogue.

I enjoyed this book. I have to say the male lead was not to my liking. A first class a*hole and bit to whining for my liking. The writing was great as we’ve come to expect from this author. Female lead was lovely and certainly deserved better.

Fabulous series! Great job Heidi! Seamless transition from 1st generation to 2nd generation. It was so funny seeing Zane as a father to a young lady!

I didn't like it. At the beginning I felt like I was being told they had a strong connection rather than shown. By the epilogue I did feel the connection was there, but I don't believe he ever actually said he loved her even once.

It didn't quite feel believable for heroine to fall into bed with him just hours after meeting him after him thwarting her month-long goal of proving herself to her father she wasn't a screw up. There wasn't enough from her POV throughout the night they socialized to build up that believability for me that she would get over that so fast.

He's looking for a bride but discards the idea of marrying her even though she's a princess, because he thought with her rebellious nature she was not a virgin, but only changes his mind when he realizes she actually was a virgin.

I would understand him sleeping
with her if he intended to marry her, but I don't understand why he would he sleep with a 20 year old Princess in her own father's Palace with no intention of marrying her.

An overwhelming connection that swept them away all of a sudden would make sense for both of them to discard all those reasons, but it was so lackluster, he asked her to sleep with him and then she accepted. It didn't feel believable to me. P.

The fact when the H was very adamant to marry the h because he stole her virginity was very absurd. I mean despite the fact he needed to marry to secure his crown was understandable but his mental battle was he needed to marry her because of his pride and the 'law', he wasn't really thinking about the requirement to secure his crown. But despite the weird plot, I enjoyed this one. The ending was nice as well with both of them married and the h pregnant with their first child.

Nice storyline but the characters emotional state were most of the time too scattered-brained for my liking. While I could understand some of their insecurities, the rest felt unnecessary? to me.

I wrote this book! So clearly my rating is biased... But just wanted to inform readers this is my first Second Generation romance, and the 5th in my series The Khans, featuring the daughter of my first Khan couple Zane and Catherine in Carrying the Sheikh's Baby...

Princess Kaliah, is in fact the baby in that book. Here is the series in order, if you want to read the rest of them and catch other glimpses of Kaliah along the way..

#1: Carrying the Sheikh’s Baby – Zane and Catherine

#2: Claimed for the Desert Prince’s Heir – Kasim (Rafe) and Kasia

#3: Innocent’s Desert Wedding Contract – Karim and Orla

#4: Banished Prince to Desert Boss – Dane and Jamilla

#5: Stolen for His Desert Throne – Kaliah and Kamal
