Murder School is a brain-drain! J.K. Ellem’s latest undertaking captivated from the very first page and kept me under its spell through the very last. Along with the wild and shocking, there are some save-the-sanity-moments of quick-witted banter, meaningful personal interactions with just enough touches of comic relief. That cocktail swizzle stick moment was a killer-diller! I couldn’t help but laugh – even in the middle of murder and mayhem.
Kudos on a mind-bending puzzler oozing with creativity and smarts. The descriptive details are some of the best written that I’ve read in crime thrillers. Vividly portrayed, the violence is visceral and unnerving. Heart-pounding – heart-stopping – merciless. Ellem writes with blunt honesty, leaving no holds barred. I was impressed with how the story illustrates the insidious, the unimaginable and the unthinkable cruelty on everyday faces in anywhere places.
Ellem has created some of the best over-the-top-worst-hate-to-love murderous and remorseless characters that I’m unable to choose the best of the worst. And those good guys were prime quality entertainment – so well-drawn and fully flushed out. It’s rare to find a book featuring so many exceptional characters – good and bad.
I can’t remember when I’ve read a book that has kept me so enthralled and stressed to the max from start to finish! Dear Author -- I’m really counting on this book being the launch-pad into a new series featuring the team headed up by Lt. Eve Sommers. Fingers and toes crossed!
Starting off with a Prologue that engages a reader’s attention immediately, hits high gear and moves on to those drop-the-mic moments . . . Murder School is an addictive, fast-paced and unrelenting thriller to the very end -- BLOODY FABULOUS !

I throughly enjoyed the book. The whole plot and characters are very much believable.
It is once again a fast paced delightful page turner and I couldn't wait to find out what happens next.
I absolutely loved the main character Eve also Vega (I think she could have her own book written )!
I certainly didn't see the bad guy coming!!
The book and storyline is very much real in the sense that you can believe that there could be people out there wanting to kill just for the 'win'.
I would very much like a sequel to this book or another stand alone with Eve and her new team.

A GREAT READ
JK Ellem has given us a great read. It has wonderful characters, good and bad. The storyline is excellent, a page turner that i couldn't put down. It was left with a feeling that we could see more from some characters in the story. I truthfully hope we do.

After what seemed to be a good start, for me this book lost its way and I didn't finish it. There were lots of characters who would probably have come together in some way if I'd stuck with it, but by about of a quarter of the book, I'd lost interest.

Unputdownable story!
The clever plot is well written and has a few twists to keep the pages turning. Strong characters, though flawed and with personal issues, are good at what they do. Well done!

Brilliant
A compelling read from start to finish. Endless suspense throughout. I loved this book and can't wait for the sequel (or film/series that it deserves to be).

Crazy Murder
Chilling and fast pace. A good blend of mystery, thriller and compassion. Mr Ellen does a great job of combining all of the above.
