Lord Teo’s love holds Raphael Lewis of the Mars Colony firmly, giving him everything he’s ever wanted – love, commitment, fidelity.
Agreeing to convince the inhabitants of Ta’Kun to accept a compromise from the Chi’NoSa, Raphael is ready to do what he must to heal Ta’Kun, save the Ta’kunisi from destruction, and Lord Teo from disgrace.
He did not know he would be repudiated, left defenseless and alone, only to be betrayed for being who he is and what he can give.
Raphael’s life is held in the balance between love and loss.
Will Teo save Raphael, or will their love become a sacrifice to the Chi’NoSa?
CJ has always been an avid reader of everything, having started her reading career on cereal boxes at a tender age. Deciding to finally share some of the stories in her head, CJ took the plunge into publishing in 2022.
She lives in North Carolina, is happily married to her soulmate who is also a writer, and is the Bringer of Food for two cats; Frankie, who is a delight; and Angel, who has earned her new name, Lucifer's Handmaiden.

C.J. Dragon has done it again. I was totally invested in the outcome of this story. Raphael’s love for Lord Teo is boundless but on Ta’Kun Raphael is put to the test. I can’t wait for the next book. A wonderful read.
I highly suggest reading “Raphael’s Rescue” the first novel in the “Archangel” series by C.J. Dragon, before “Raphael’s Redemption”.
Raphael is still aboard Lord Teo’s ship, but their growing feelings have turned into love. Lord Teo is still has the ingrown anger that has always dominated him, but he has sworn to Raphael never to hurt him again. Now Raphael has earned Advisor/Consort and is Teo’s Chosen.
Returning to Chi’NoSa Prime there is a mission that needs to be accomplished. The Ta’Kun planet is under scrutiny and can very well be destroyed along with Ta’kunisi. With Raphael’s gifts and understanding he advises Teo on compromises that could very well work and also be accepted by the other Lords of Chi’NoSa. If all is successful, Lord Teo is willing to let Raphael visit his Mars Colony home.
But good things don’t last forever when dealing with Lord Teo. He feels that he is changing and he doesn’t like it. Of course, he claims it is not Raphael’s fault but the “human behavior” that goes against the Chi’NoSa rules. Raphael is devastated but he can do nothing.
Receiving help from The Lady and knowing how the Ta’Kun planet feels, Raphael still journeys with Lord Teo in the Golden Flacon to Ta’Kun. They meet with Bardel of Ta’Kun and explain the Chi’NoSa compromise that could very well save the planet. With Raphael’s understanding this may have never been accomplished as Bardel agrees to the compromise.
There is still trouble to be had. Darsan of Ta’kunisi is a nationalist with a small group of followers, that do not agree with Chi’NoSa ways. A meeting is agreed too with Darsan, Lord Teo and Raphael and all does not go well. The situation will get worse for Lord Teo as he will find himself facing betrayal and loss.
Once again, C.J. Dragon brings an in-depth view of characters that are very different. Raphael is an amazing character and continues to be charming, loving, understanding, forgiving, and always thankful to others around him. It’s not that he makes others change, but others want to change. For Teo, he struggles with change, he feels it makes him weak. He doesn’t see that change is going to happen no matter how much he resists it. At certain points, I think the reality of change hits him with: Dasa, Elon, Lado and even with the Chi’NoSa inhabitants.
C.J. Dragon brings another, well-written, entertaining novel to the “Archangel” series. “Raphael’s Redemption” still has unpredictable moments and a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Raphael and Lord Teo will be back with “Raphael’s Return” the third installment of the “Archangel” series.
This is CJ Dragon's second book in her Archangel Series and I must say it is as good, if not even better than the first. That is quite an accomplishment since the first was ridiculously well-written. The series revolves around the relationship between Teo, a prideful and arrogant ruler of just about everything who does not understand the meaning of the word no. He comes from a warrior race where emotion and empathy is verboten. That is rather inconvenient for both him and his consort, a human empath who always has a smile on his face and in his heart. Volume one introduced us to the couple and now that they ARE a couple, drama returns with a vengeance...some of it manufactured by those who oppose this "odd couple" union.
As in the first book I just wanted to crawl onto those pages and pimp slap (metaphorically) Teo for his inability to compromise. But it makes for a wonderful storyline and by the end of this six hour read things are looking up. The author is great at world-building and I was easily able to visualize the alien worlds which serve as the background for the story. Further, the author skillfully allows us to see and feel what is happening in the minds of the two protagonists. I almost felt I was eavesdropping. Oh wait, I was.
As with the first book I cried involuntarily and laughed heartily. The story has a satisfying ending but we realize there most certainly will be a third volume and thank goodness for that. This is the third book of Ms. Dragon I have read and each has been a carefully and lovingly crafted read. I look forward to reading the work of this author hopefully for years to come.
Love definitely doesn't conquer all in this series. Teo and Raphael love each other and Teo's made it public and official but when they try to work together for peace it does not go well for their mission or their relationship. While it's heartbreaking to see Teo's behavior in places, the author has also developed his world and character to make it understandable (although I was yelling at him in places, lol). There are schemers and traitors around to add outside danger.
