The case studies were far and away the best portion of this text. I found them to be an excellent way to show how the concepts outlined in each chapter applied to real world situations, even if I find the recitation of events (especially in appellate cases) to be terrifyingly like descriptions of Sims.

Learning about Criminal Law... yeah. I wouldn't call it "amazing" as the rating indicates, but certainly informative.

You should get his book and it comes with a study Guide to help with all philosophy of Law. Matthew Powers has this book in his class at American River College. I received a A in the class, I think it does well with all the fundamental laws like: Element of Murder Actus Reus the physical part to murder, drowning, striking, or the Mens Reus which is the mental part of murder like, recklessness ect all the elements
