Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book #5) by A.J. Renee
Here I go again- I say this every time a new book in the series releases- but I mean it- this is definitely my favourite (😊 so far!!!). Ms. Renee has out done herself, again- because this book definitely proves that this series really does get better and better with each new instalment!
Again, as with the other 4 books in the series, this is a fantastic paranormal romance with magic, soul mates, sizzling chemistry, danger, drama, intrigue, emotion, and witches. As with every other book, I found myself completely spellbound right from the beginning, and before I knew it I had read the entire wonderful story.
This is Edward and Mia’s story, who were so easy to love, and I was completely invested in them and the outcome of their story. I loved that they continued to grow and develop over the course of the story.
I just hope there are more books planned for this captivating series, as I’m not ready to say goodbye any time soon!!!!

Edward Broderick is a handsome male witch with intuition to match which he uses to help others in their business ventures, although, it doesn’t quite work as well when it comes to his own life, as he has watched his brothers and sister find their soulmates, he has always felt like he isn’t as strongly bonded as the others. He has felt like an outsider since he was a child and was extremely reluctant to let anyone close after seeing how it almost broke his family apart, but as he watches one of his brothers get married, one of the other guests completely throws him for a loop. Mia Hemlock is a witch who is friends with the Broderick family through their coven and for the first time ever, she has been invited to participate in a ritual with them, she is apprehensive, but she feels more welcomed than at any other time, apart from when she is with her parents, but what she didn’t expect was to run into the handsome man who seems both shy and awkward all at the same time.
As Edward and his newest sister in law talk on the patio at their house, he realises how much he has missed interacting with them all and it is at that point that they reveal that they feel the same way and that from then on it will change and he hasn’t got a choice in the matter. A few days later, Edward is talking to his sister when she suggests that they go and visit Mia’s shop to see if there are any ways he can help it to bloom, but all sense goes out of the window as soon as he walks in and sees her again. Mia is surprised when Edward turns up without his sister, however, her reactions towards him leave her confused and flustered all at the same time and no amount of grounding through the earth can change it. The conversations starts out well, but Edward reverts to a tongue tied teenager and messes up leading Mia to kick him out of her shop in a flurry of angry words, however, they cannot stay mad at each other for long and so when he goes to apologise, she accepts and they realise that they can’t resist the pull they feel.
This peace does not last long when Mia sees something she misinterprets and Edward isn’t given the chance to explain, but will they be able to reconnect and move past this event, or will they go against the wishes of the goddess and the pairing she has chosen? This is a paranormal romance which is full of sweetness and light while being tempered with awkwardness and a hint of arrogance, as you are swept away on the journey to see what the ending will be.

EDWARD! Yet another of the Broderick clan with an amazing ability. He has an intuition that allows him to know just the right things to say or do to help his clients become more successful. Unfortunately, he also tends to insert his foot directly in his mouth when he comes face to face with his chosen mate. We meet Mia in book 4 of the Broderick Coven series. She has such a free-loving personality and is enamored by him at first glance at the beginning of this story. Once again, mates don’t necessarily have to be of the same ‘species.’ Edward has spent much of his life feeling like the outcast of the family and thinking that he would never find his true place or the love of his life like the rest of his siblings have. Mia is the daughter of nature-loving parents who – unfortunately – care to spend more time communing with nature than taking care of or being with their daughter. The fact that fate decided to bring them together made me happier than I imagined I would be going into this story. There are normal couple squabbles and a few misunderstandings, but the fact that this book brings out the sweet and caring side of Edward made it all worth it. I love this couple and I have loved every single one of these books. I am now on the edge of my seat awaiting the next installment and cannot wait to see what is in store for the rest of the characters! AJ – seriously, great job! If you haven’t picked this series up, please do! Start with the beginning book and immerse yourself in a wonderful world with amazing characters.

This series has gotten better with each book, and I cannot wait to see then in the next series with Peter. The last book in the series I admit I was wondering about. Edward is quiet and we don’t know much about him at all. But after meeting Mia, I had to wonder where she would fall in the series or the next. I was happy to see she was the perfect fit for our brooding and awkward final Broderick brother.
Eddie (as his siblings call him) is a loner by choice and his family has always allowed him to get away with it. He loves that his siblings have all fallen in love and gotten mated, but he sure doesn’t think this is in the cards for him. He is a bit jealous, but he is making the best with what he feels he was dealt. When he is stumped by a gorgeous witch at his siters wedding he begins to question if the fates had finally tapped on his shoulder.
Mia can’t stop looking at the mysterious Broderick brother she hasn’t met. She can’t stop thinking about him but when he opens his mouth, he only seems to insert his foot. The couple have some growing pains and figuring out the other but when they DO, it’s a great chemistry. As t be expected there are a few miscommunications they have to figure out, but the story is fast, and I flew reading it. Also, can someone tell Peter to shut his wolfy mouth. Dude is seriously a buzz kill….lol
I loved the whole series and cannot wit for Peter to find some love in his series. Dude is LONELY!!!!

I have been reading this series for quite some time now, and as always I am always nose deep win the book, loving every minute of these amazing novels. This one was just as good as the rest. I bonded with the characters as usual and was so easy to do so. This one was different, and my curiosities were certainly met!
In this wonderful addition we followed, we had the character from other additions named Edward. He was mentioned in others so it was nice to see his story come to light. I loved the chemistry he had with whom was his match, named Mia. She had powers and was very much passionate with her flowers. Her and Edward meet and sparks fly, and the passion and pull towards one another was undeniable. I loved that in this book, as I loved in all the other book additions. The author always brings the characters to life so well that you feel you are right there with them, and pulling for the fates to allow them to be together!
Something I enjoyed specifically to this book, was that Edward was a character who seemed against love, and Mia rocks his world. There was some bicker and quarrel, and finding some common ground. It was not all a world changing romance. It was one where differences had to be put aside to embrace their destiny of what was really meant to be. The plot was easy to read and get sucked into, and was a happy and enjoyable read. I expect nothing less from this amazing author and always, loved their writing!
Again, this series always makes me feel so very happy when I read the book installments. Th way the author writes, is so wonderful, they know how to capture the reader's attention and keep them interested and wonder where the plot will lead to next! As always, highly recommend this author and this book/series!

This isn't the first book I've read by Renee. Cursed Luck is a great book and so far the best of the series. The Broderick Coven Series is an amazing series.
Edward is the one of seven and the last to find his mate. Not sure if it's in his luck but his mate has been found. He meets her at Ethan's wedding and isn't allowed to bail. Another fantastic addition to the Broderick Coven Series! This time we get to follow an eagerly anticipated Broderick sibling at least for me anyways! Edward Broderick has always been a more mysterious unknown in where he fits in with his powers and the extended family the Broderick Coven has grown to be. I was thrilled to learn more about him and the addition of Mia Hemlock, a FMC who’s personality absolutely speaks to me (I love her)! This may end up being a favorite of the series for me. Can’t wait to read more, I highly recommend this book!

So happy to finally read about Edward and also check in on how all the other family members are doing! He is the quiet, brooding brother who doesn't have magic like the rest of the family. He can be a bit cocky and often sticks his foot in his mouth. He seems to be good in business and we do find out that he has magic powers just like the rest of the family. Edward still struggles with the loss of his father and keeps his distance from the family. I was happy to get to know Mia since we saw just a little of her in Cursed Touch (book 4). I love her earthly magic and can just picture all of the beautiful flowers described throughout the pages. This was another steamy love story and I hope this isn't the last book to be written about the Broderick Coven.

I enjoyed this paranormal romance story. This is the fifth book in this series that is just as enjoyable as the previous books. I highly suggest reading the previous books as you will enjoy them as well. This author is great at her attention to details to make her books engaging and give them a realistic feel. This book is no different. The characters pull you into the story from the beginning and keep you engaged to the end. This is a fast paced romance story that is not only hard to put down but is brought to life on each page. I enjoyed how the characters are relatable and made me want to know what happened next. Their chemistry and growth throughout the story just add to the plot which made it a fun and entertaining read. This is a really great story by a great author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up. I highly recommend this book and this author.

AJ Renee has done it again with her 5th book in the Broderick Coven series, Cursed Luck! I love a good witchy paranormal read and never ever have to worry when it comes to picking up one of these novels. This was no exception to the rule and I fell in love fast with Edward and Mia. I really enjoyed these two and the way their romance developed throughout the adventure of the story. Renee does a wonderful job of building her stories with layers and amazing details that bring to life this world that I just want to jump right into every time. I would personally recommend that you start at the beginning of the series and enjoy each of the books in order for the fullest enjoyment possible, but you could if you wanted read these as standalones. I sure hope that there are many more to come in this series and I can’t wait to see what we will get with each one!

This is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series. A whole family of witches, unusual, but true. This is the story of Edward, who is the distant brother. He gets asked to help a friend out, Mia, with her floral shop, make it better. Edward’s magic is just knowing what a business needs to make it more successful. Unfortunately, he cannot keep his foot out of his mouth when he is around Mia. His family has recognized her as what she is…his mate. Will they be able to accept that they are mates? Can he help her with her floral shop or tear her down with his bluntness?
This was a great story, I am drawn into the family, with all their differences they above anything else love and respect each other. This is what I long for with my family. The closeness, the unconditional love, the interfering with each other’s lives. Thank you, AJ Renee, for another great read!

This is the fifth book in the series and probably my new favorite. It was a quick and easy read. I liked Mia and Edward as a couple. Edwards' power of intuition was pretty cool. Overall a good addition to the series. It's definitely worth it to read the books in order.

When free-spirited down to Earth Mia’s world collides with the arrogant tongue-tied Broderick brother she had no clue what would happen. Mia was attending the wedding of Ethan and Serena when she first locked eyes with Edward. She was nothing like he was ever used to but there was a pull between the two. With Edward’s ability of intuition he makes some suggestions for Mia’s business but ends up putting his foot in his mouth. That won't be the only time Edward gets tongue-tied with Mia but did the Goddess think that they were good soulmates?
This is the fifth book in the Broderick Brother series and it does not disappoint. This book was steamy, thrilling, funny, and an absolute page-turner! Aj Renee does not disappoint with yet another amazing book. I can’t wait to see where this series will go next!

If all the novels in this series are as electric as this one, you best believe I will be reading them as soon as the holidays have wound down a bit. I absolutely love the way the reader is pulled into Edward and Mia’s story from the first chapter and has us gasping for air while riding the current of attraction, dislike, and confusion that floats off the pages. Mia, oh my goodness, if I could have a ‘green thumb’ like hers, I would be in 7th heaven. The way she is passionate about her powers is quite unlike any other character I’ve read in this genre, and Edward, well, Edward is certainly the strong, silent type who has a strong personality and (usually) knows what he wants. Everything happens for a reason, or everyone, and in this case, perhaps both have been mixed in, read and find out!
The Broderick Coven seems as tight knit and as close as one could ever hope for in a family, and I adored the way they all look out for each other, and makes me yearn for that this holiday season, more time with my loved ones. Overall, an incredible read, and I very much look forward to reading more of this authors work. Well done!

Cursed Luck is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series and can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the series in order as to understand all the characters and the powers that they have. I loved each and every book in the series and Cursed Luck continued my love.
Edward Broderick has always been standing alone within his family. I loved watching him learn about his power of intuition and getting all worked up about Mia Hemlock!

This is book 5 in the Broderick Coven series and these books keep getting better and better. Like the previous 4 books it is a paranormal romance which lots of surprises and magic. I love the whole idea of soul mates and how the characters are destined to find their one true love.
The main characters in this are Edward and Mia. Edward is part of the Broderick Coven. His magical power is luck. He has intuition skills which makes him very successful in business. But love isn't for him..and he doesn't plan on looking for it.
However when the beautiful florist/witch called Mia comes into his life all that changes. But things aren't plan sailing.

The main characters in this are Edward and Mia. Edward is part of the Broderick Coven. His magical power is luck. He has intuition skills which makes him very successful in business. But love isn't for him..and he doesn't plan on looking for it.
However when the beautiful florist/witch called Mia comes into his life all that changes. But things aren't plan sailing.

Cursed Luck is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series by A.J. Renee. If you have yet to read the other books in the series I would recommend starting with book one, you meet a lot of the same characters and already have a feel for the storylines which I feel makes this even more enjoyable.
I think this is my favourite book in the series so far. I love Edward and Mia. They are such opposites, I really enjoyed how the author brought them together but kept their quirks and identities to remain true to themselves. They say true love is never straightforward, and that’s definitely the case here. As with all the characters in the series so far, I find them easy to relate to…even with their paranormal ways. This book is really easy to read, the pages turned so fast!

AJ Renee has done it again! I read this book in one day. I did not want to put it down. I LOVE the Broderick Coven stories, and Cursed Luck, Book 5, was no exception! Edward Broderick thought he was not meant for love, until the day he met Mia. Mia is spirited and challenging but Edward can not get her out of his mind. As much as Mia doesn’t want to think about him either, not even her Earth magic is enough to keep him from flashing through her mind. Follow them as they navigate this attraction, and decide if they should fight it, or pursue it. AJ Renee gave us two more characters that you love and cheer for. The complex family dynamics, soul searching, lure of magic, and of course the steamy romance, provide the perfect story to tug at your emotions! Definitely another must read!

Cursed Luck is book 5 in the Broderick Coven series. This series must be read in order as it follows the lives of the Broderick siblings. Cursed Luck stars Edward Broderick, the lone wolf of the siblings. Edward believes he is destined to be alone. His powers of “luck” are soley reserved for the people he can help and not himself. Mia is a character from previous stories and while she too is a witch, she connects her powers through the earth and nature.
While there is no real “bad” guy in this story Edward and Mia must battle their own personal demons to find their happily ever after.
Many sexy scenes, so not recommended for those under 18 yrs. I always enjoy reading the stories by AJ Renee and look forward to the rest of the siblings stories!

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee. This is the 5th installment in the Broderick Coven series and its the story of Edward. Edward thinks he's not meant for love until he meets Mia. He can't stop thinking about Mia and even though she's trying not to she can't help but think about Edward all the time! Mia has a flower shop and Edward's magic is knowing just what she needs to make her business better. When Edward's family meets Mia they immediately know she is his mate. When Edward is around Mia he keeps saying the craziest things and Mia doesn't know what to make of him. Will he help Mila keep her business going and will she fall for his crazy self? I have loved this series and I think this was my favorite so far!

Book #5 of the Broderick series gives us Edward's story. He is very much a handsome loner, and he is mated to the beautiful free spirit known as Mia. There is much to learn about Edward and Mia who did not expect mates or when they found their mate to go thru so much opposition with them. They have the attraction but continue to fight the pull until they can no longer do so. I adored them both and I started to fall in love with Edward as well lol.
Edward and Mia were a very unlikely couple. Both had a lot to understand about the mate bond and the depth of the emotions/feelings the bond would bring. They agree to take things slowly, but its unclear if they will ever accept each other as mates.

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee is just simply amazing. I have said it once and I will say it again this series just gets better and better with every installment. This amazing paranormal romance has everything a girl could ask for including magic, soulmates, emotion, drama and so much more that I couldn’t put it down. Once again Ms. Renee gives us phenomenal characters that are so easy to love that you just can’t help but root for their love story. Edward has always felt like an outcast, what will he do when fate intervenes and he crosses paths with Mia? Can she possibly bring out that sweet caring side? You’ll have to read Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee to find out for yourself.

This is the 5th installment in the Broderick series. Edward Broderick is a smooth talking witch whose natural talent lies with making businesses thrive. Mia Hemlock is a born earth witch whose strong powers make her the perfect florist. When she and Edward meet, sparks fly but neither is willing to bend completely to the Goddesses' will in who their mates will be.
This book did fit nicely into the series and satisfied my curiosity about Edward. I could have asked for more drama in regards to the story line, less internal and more external as it were. This will not discourage me from looking forward to the next Broderick novel.

The siblings have discovered that they come from a family of witches and that they all have powers. Each book centers around a sibling as that sibling learns more about their powers. This book is about Edward Broderick. He has the gift of sensing what others need or what will help them the best. He tries to help Mia with her flower shop and only manages to come across as rude and condescending. Another great adventure into the Broderick family. I really enjoyed this book as it wasn't your typical straight forward romance. Both the main characters have their own self doubts and I really like how the author brings them together and love blossoms. I really like it when I don't want to put the book down.
I really could relate to Edward and how he felt unlucky. I like how the author really wrote his character and how he finally adapts and grows into his abilities. I love the whole family dynamic and how they are so supportive. I really cannot wait to read more from this author.

Cursed Luck by AJ Renee is the fifth book in the Broderick Coven series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I think it is best enjoyed if the series is read in order. There are recurring characters in the books. Cursed Luck focuses on Edward Broderick and Mia Hemlock. Edward likes being by himself. But, can he find a way to let Mia into his life?
I enjoyed the characters in this book and found them relatable. I also enjoy the paranormal aspects of brewing romance. It adds to the story and makes everything a bit more magical. The entire series has been great but I think this might be my favorite of the group. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

Cursed Luck (Broderick Coven Book 5) by AJ Renee is a paranormal romance story. Wow I can’t believe we are up to book five already. Not that I am complaining, I absolutely adore AJ’s books. As soon as I saw this new book by her, I grabbed it and jumped right into the adventure. This is a wonderful tale is full of magic and chemistry, humour, and drama and so much more. Each story just gets better and better.
There is undeniable chemistry, that is palpable and jumps of the pages but not everything is smooth sailing for this pair. He is arrogant but swoon worthy and she is free spirited and does her own thing.
Highly recommend AJ’s books for any paranormal lovers.

Cursed Luck is the first book I’ve read by AJ Renee, despite being Broderick Coven book 5. I enjoyed the book from the very first chapter. The author paints a very vivid picture and I felt the words playing out like a movie in my mind.
I really enjoyed Mia and Edward as characters and the book in general sparked my interest in catching up on the series. Even though this is an excellent stand alone read, I always feel like I’m missing out when I jump into a series without knowing the background of supporting characters from books prior. I would give Cursed Luck ⅘ stars and I look forward to adding this author to “my authors to look out for” list.
