Black Flame are proud to present the collected edition of David Bishop's World War Two "magnum opus." From the Russian front in 1941, the Siege of Leningrad in 1942, to the bloody climax in Berlin, 1945, we see Lord Constanta dictate his vampire cadre to influence the outcome of the war with unholy terror. Fiends of the Eastern front mixes the gritty realism of war, rich military detail and alternate history.

Imagine being a German soldier in the midst of World War II. You and the army you fight for are ready for anything. Weapons are getting stockpiled, men are being drafted, equipment is getting shipped, and Romanian vampires are devouring the blood of your Russian foes. What can go wrong? Only one word can describe the answer: Everything.
Fiends of the Eastern Front puts in the epic battle of World War II as Hans, Klaus, and Ralf Vollmer as they experience the war in their own point of view. Hans is the youngest of the three and is excited to fight for his country. Klaus is the oldest and being a fighter pilot has taught him that war has a negative effect. Ralf is the middle child and is a battle hardened tank driver with a bad attitude in the war.
I loved this book because it gives a lot of historical accounts of World War II. I also loved how David Bishop described each scene with very descriptive words. The thought of vampires during our world's wars strikes me as a fascination I would love to learn more about.
I rate this book a 5 out of 5 because it was very descriptive and I never got confused about what was going on. I also loved how it was full of suspense and that you were always guessing what would happen next.
David Bishopin "Fiends of the Eastern Front" (Black Flame, 2007) on Gerry Finley-Dayn ja Carlos Ezguerran samannimiseen 2000AD-sarjakuvaan perustuva kolmiosainen romaani, jonka perusidea on enemmän kuin noheva.
Imagine being a German soldier with a fighting chance against the allies. You have everything you need. Weapons are being stockpiled, food is getting distributaed, Romanian vampires are sucking the blood of Russian soldiers. With vampires you don't know about, what could go wrong? Everything can. Wounded German soldiers, your friends, are being turned into the Romanians thralls, cursed to be slaves to them for eternity. Fiends of the Eastern Front puts you in the mist of battle in World War II.
