"We took it each day at a time until we learned to live with our demons but a part of her was still there in the blizzard. She tried her best to move past it...but things got bad again." The winter of 2017 shook the quiet town of Seventh Heaven to its core, secrets were revealed and a new kind of evil was unleashed in the wake of Kimberly's sixteenth birthday. Years have passed since then, the wounds turned to scars and our teens who are now adults enter the next stage in their life but evil is festering in the heart of Paradise, Kimberly, Arik, Sarah, Ian and Elenore embark on their darkest jorney yet. Will they be strong enough to face the ugly truth when it comes knocking on their door or will the evil spread?
The lore in this book is intense and heavy. You can expect to be as confused as the characters at times as Ossai slowly puts the puzzle pieces into place.
This feels like a long haul series. I’m very interested to see where this series goes.
Disclosure: I received an advance copy for proofreading because I enjoyed the first one so much, but my excitement for Paradise is genuine and unbiased.
I read this book through twice. Once for enjoyment, and again for proof reading. I can safely state that you will find the typos because the story managed to captivate me just as much the second time round. My bad. Once again Ossai has swept the leg. More please!!!
I won't give any spoilers away, but I will say that I am obsessed with the dynamic between Sara and Elenore. I have grown attached to these characters and I am so curious to see where Ossai takes us because I have lost count of the plot twists so far... And it's only book 2... The depth of the characters, a wildly unpredictable story and E.E. Ossai's talent for vivid descriptions will leave any horror fiend selling their soul for just one more installment! 10/10 highly recommend!
