The Tibetan Book of the Dead is a sort of deathbed manual. It was written specifically to be read aloud throughout the dying process (by a master or spiritual companion). This is because, according to Buddhist doctrine, receiving some deep teachings at the time of death allows one to achieve nirvana or enlightenment.
I'm sure others might love this translation. I found the interjections from Carl Jung disjointed and not helpful and wanted to skip over those interruptions. I decided to try another translation.
