FRUIT
What does it mean to bear fruit? Our new book is intended to refresh and refine our understanding of the Fruit of the Spirit—of a life lived out of the Holy Spirit’s dwelling with us.
From the Garden of Eden to the Age of Information, the Fruit of the Spirit blooms in all of God’s story. To engage with it is to travel a terrain of delight, discipline, and destiny. It is to commune deeply with the Holy Spirit, allowing it to influence and imprint us. Paul does not describe the fruits as separate components of a cornucopia, but as a singular Fruit with nine shades, textures, and flavors—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
This book is meant to guide and encourage us on the journey to fruit-bearing. As we read, may we read with the Spirit, growing in awareness of how God embodies this fruit and calls us to do the same. Amen.

this book is art, quite literally

I found the Alabaster book collections by scrolling through Instagram in the late hours of my sleepless nights. The beautiful aesthetic of their books was what initially pulled my attention because every Bible in my life to that moment had been super challenging to lean into. I grew up Catholic, I went to Catholic school, I have been to Rome twice, I shared an audience for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican; all this to say that my life was well annointed with Holy Water but my excitement for the Biblical texts was long lost. Alabaster has changed this for me in the most beautiful way! Not only does the beautiful look and soft feel of their books bring excitement to my reading time but the introduction of creativity and art as an essential part of my faith resonates with me at a very deep level. I had never though to connect with Spirit through my own creativity!
FRUIT is yet another triumph in their gorgeous collection of studies. This book offers unique perspective to the lives we live by exploring the ways in which Spirit infuses every aspect of our existence. Each chapter in this luscious book addresses devotion to Spirit and self with titles such as, "Love", "Joy", and "Faithfulness" to name a few. Loving this book is easy and it does make me feel closer to my faith than I have in a very long while, maybe in my whole life.
Whether you are a Biblical enthusiast or someone who has lost their faith along the winding paths of life, this book and the other Alabaster collections will assuredly help you to find the grounding you are searching for today. Since you have taken the time to read my review go on and make the purchase, it is well worth your money and your time.
Although this particular text was complimentary for me through the Alabaster Influencer Program, the many other Alabaster books I own were not, I would not hesitate to buy them all over again.

First off, the images included in this book make the reading experience that much more enjoyable and brings the words to life.
Drawing on and citing scripture, studies, and writings by other authors to reflect on the fruit as a whole, I love how the authors make a case for the God-given gift of the fruit of the Spirit.
I also love that every chapter ends with a prayer.
A particular excerpt from the book that stuck out to me is the following about self-control:
“Self-control completes the fruit of the Holy Spirit, perhaps, because it is required for practicing any of the preceding virtues. Only through self-control sustained by the Spirit can we blossom in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness. Indeed, the last fruit brings us back to the first one - and the ones after it. It is an invitation.
We cannot perfectly resemble every fruit, but by the Spirit, we are called to pursue, practice, and put on these things daily. And in the slow growth of seed, sprout, flower, fruit, and seed again, we partake in the wonderful cycle of fruit-bearing. This is how it is intended to be.”
Overall, this read was a great reminder that as I “pursue, practice and put on these things daily,” I will bear the fruit of the Spirit in my life.

Are the fruit of the Spirit still important today? Fruit, by Alabaster, is the perfect guide to help you experience the fruit of the Spirit in a fresh way.
Insightful, Encouraging, Inspiring
The photography is stunning, with stark contrasts between the colors for each fruit. There are many textures on display, giving each photo a distinct feel and quality. The devotional reads are insightful, encouraging, and inspiring.
I was most moved to see peace as a fruit that is deeply rooted. I often think of peace as something that comes in response to situations. Alongside tranquil yellow photos, I learned that peace is something deeply rooted, and tied to the presence of justice -- and ultimately found in Jesus.
Grow in Christlikeness
I was most interested to see how to have a better orientation towards kindness. With cool blue photos, I saw how kindness is related to the virtues of empathy, charity, and grace. I learned to look towards the interest of others.
By reflecting on the fruit of the Spirit, we are taught to slow down and focus on our spiritual lives. It is a call to grow in Christlikeness. You will find refreshment as you nourish your soul, and you will be helped to bear much fruit.

I have used this book as part of my morning devotionals and have found that this book has positively impacted my time with God. It has been great reflecting on how I can further implement each fruit of the spirit into my own life as well as how the Bible sees each fruit of the spirit, such as Joy for instance in comparison to the world. A part from the book that really resonated with me was that "Joy is not merely a reaction, but a form of resistance. Joy as resistance involves acknowledging and facing suffering—and choosing joy regardless." The words in this book are often poetic and the imagery is absolutely stunning and inspiring.
A wonderful book that can accompany your personal devotional time or be used as a group study aid.

I was gifted FRUIT through the Alabaster Influencer program but have purchased my own copies of other books (Psalms and Proverbs, both hardcover). I really appreciate how Alabaster Co is honoring God through the sharing of the scriptures in a chic table top cover with stunning photography that helps us marvel at God's creation while we read the Bible. The difference in this collection, though, is that it isn't not scripture only. Each Fruit of the Spirit has commentary. While the scripture is sourced and the names of the authors are sourced for each chapter, it would be helpful to understand what their credentials are. Most examples are from scripture but it would be especially helpful when they are citing non Bible commentary and drawing conclusions for the reader.

Beautifully Crafted + Highly Recommended!
I have always enjoyed the topic of “The Fruits of the Spirit” in the Bible, but i’ve never encountered such a well put together devotional ever before. The Alabaster “Fruit” book is not just amazingly written, but it is also beautifully curated with each amazing photography that truly captures the essence of each fruit.
As an Alabaster Partner, I personally have been blessed by this book. “Fruits” has encouraged me to continue to draw close to Christ and to bear these spiritual fruits in my life. This Alabaster Co. devotional is so timely and much needed for today. Whether it’s for yourself or for your friends, I highly recommend reading through this incredible book!

The fruits of the spirit have always held a special place in my heart: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Areas I am always wanting to grow in. So, when Alabaster launched its latest book all about the fruits of the spirit, I was super excited! The book goes over all nine of these areas in depth and with accompanying pictures. Defining the attribute, looking at the scriptures, and studying the virtue alongside context and examples. Not only with this study expand your understanding, but it will also prompt you to do your own additional research with the goal of allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. I received this book from Alabaster's influencer program, and can I just say... I'm obsessed! The beautiful photography keeps you hooked throughout this encouraging book. Each Fruit of the Spirit is explained in much detail, increasing your knowledge about this important topic!
If you are considering reading this book, I would highly recommend it. It is perfect to read during your quiet time, or you could even read it as a devotional. After reading this book, I am left encouraged to implement these amazing points in my day-to-day life.

The "fruit of the spirit" (as the Bible calls them) are incredible attributes we can embody when we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our daily lives. Alabaster Co. has done a beautiful job of describing these attributes in addition to incredible artistic imagery. I love to pray for the "fruit of the spirit" to be evident in my life during my morning devotional times. This book will be a great addition to my prayer time and spiritual life. Love it! This book is exactly what I needed. Lately I have been praying a lot over the fruit of the spirit and asking God for wisdom for understanding it and this book is helping me so much! As I get closer to God and he reveals his truth to me through his word I sometimes find hard to understand scripture but books like this one make it so helpful for me to keep running to God's word and not away. I am so thankful I got this book gifted to me through the Alabaster Influencer Program. This book is a part of my morning devotional time and I very excited to continue to read it!

Been needing to dive into the fruits of the Spirit and I love how Alabaster brought each one to a new level with the most beautiful visuals! I was able to read this book as part of their ambassador program and I am beyond grateful and in awe of the work they've done here! Each fruit had a new meaning almost with how well the visuals complimented and drew me in to the depth of what Paul was writing. Patience and self control were my favorite, since I need work on those the most :P

Alabaster Co's focus on expressing beauty truly comes to life in this book on the Fruits of the Spirit! My copy was complimentary though Alabaster's Influencer Program and I've enjoyed seeing the fruit of the spirit in a new light! It's really helped me to solidify to concept of the fruit of the spirit and deepen my appreciation for the Holy Spirit as well!

This is a game changer when it comes to desiring to prioritize reading scripture and devotional time. Great Summary of the Fruit of Love. This book has given me new-found encouragement to seek out fellowship with other Believers in Christ. Truly, love is an act outside of self-reliance. It’s a call to trust.

I recently re-dedicated my life to Christ and had been trying to exercise my faith in a way that didn't feel like a chore. Some days, I don't know what to journal.. some days, prayer doesn't feel like enough... I attend church and have fellowship, but something was missing. When I placed my order with Alabaster Co., they delivered exactly what I needed. FRUIT is 160 pages of perfection.
I was originally drawn to Alabaster Co. because of their design and beautiful illustrations, but I was captivated with the content. For me, this book is a guide to success and a reminder of how/why we need to live like Jesus.
