I’m half-naked under bright lights at the Auction House because I need money to save my mother’s life. There’s no other way.
Tonight, my virginity is for sale. Mysterious, wealthy men sit in the darkened audience. A deep, raspy voice continues to up the bidding for me, and I find myself secretly hoping he’s the one.
The lights go up. I turn, seeking out the man who won. And a huge male marches forward and takes my hand, ready to immediately perform marriage vows. And he’s…he’s…not human. Flashing red eyes, dark gray skin and…tusks. I blink and look around. Is this a joke?
My fists beat against his hairy chest. He grins, picks me up and tosses me over his massive shoulder.
And stomps off into the night.

The series where the Highest Bidder always wins! Welcome to a one-of-a-kind Auction House where humans, shifters, and aliens bid on love. These ultra-rich men are ready to bring home their virgin prizes. Are you ready to join in and wish you were the one on the auction block?
Three standalone stories by best-selling steamy romance authors, Hope Ford, Olivia T. Turner, and Michele Mills. You’ve never seen an auction house like this!
Michele Mills lives in California and leads a life of quiet, G rated desperation with her husband and two sons. In an attempt at a fulfilling, R rated inner life that does not include Disney movies and Nickelodeon; Michele reads and writes filthy romance and, well...filthy romance. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
This was okay. Instalove after only 2 days. Very superficial, no depth at all and not even any real steam unless you consider the h saying "he made love to me all night" real erotic. Everything was telling not showing so I really couldn't feel an connection or chemistry between Taygar and Charlotte. Though Taygar Tusk was an awesome name.
Weird detail that stuck in mind and made no sense. I cook beef stew for my family too (there's a whole big scene where the h cooks for the H and they spend the whole afternoon in the kitchen as she cooks this first meal of beef stew) and you use cubes of meat that after being seared and simmered for a few hours are basically a good bite size. So I know the author was trying to highlight Taygar's tusks but I didn't understand her writing about the h cooking beef stew and Taygar having to use his tusks to tear into the meat. Why not a roast or a big steak or something. There were a handful of little details like this that weren't very thought through. It came across as quick and sloppy. I hate to dump on such a short little story but I just read another short just before this that was even 10 pages shorter yet was done much better. Just because it's short doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the same effort.
I didn’t like this one as much as Auctioned to the grizzly shifter. There were a lot of little things that irritated me. For one, the hero isn’t sufficiently possessive of the heroine. Her virginity means nothing to him, he has no sense of satisfaction or pride that he alone claims her and it speaks to a distinct lack of emotional attachment. I also didn’t like that he was a manwhore and his attitude was very cavalier about it. It was completely unnecessary and did nothing to make him different or to make their relationship more intense or meaningful. Why even bring it up? Why not make him a virgin too or at least celibate? Or how about no fucking details at all?! I much much prefer Olivia T turners fated mates where the hero doesn’t even get aroused by anyone other than their mate. THATS how fated mates should be done. None of this sliming around with others, sharing your body with others and then bringing over overused dick that’s been inside multiple other females to your soulmate.
I also didn’t like that the ending was abrupt and we don’t get to see the baby. No descriptions of what a half-voltare, half-human baby looks like, or if they had any other babies. It just slides off into a very abrupt and unsatisfactory ending.
Safe-ish. Hero’s past is mentioned and he’s a manwhore. Heroine ia a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No ow/om, no cheating or sharing or abuse. Unsatisfactory HEA but no real epilogue (sorry but 3 months out doesn’t count as a decent epilogue)
Charlotte needs money fast. Her mom needs life-saving surgery. The only way she can think to come up with a lot of money is by... selling her virginity.
Taygar, of the Voltare species, sees her at the auction house and bids millions of dollars on her. He knew the second she stepped out that she was his mate.
This was such a cute romance. I enjoyed reading it! I can't wait for the next books in the series.
safety: virgin heroine no OM/OW no cheating/sharing safe HEA.

I thought the auction was an interesting set up, though backstory on how the auction came to be would have been useful. The FMC, Charlotte, is auctioning off her virginity to pay for her mother’s medical bills. She ends up with an alien man, who insists he’s her fated mate. Many of the issues that came up throughout the story were glossed over; especially the ones that would impact the success of a new relationship. A bit more discord between the MCs about the established issues would have made the characters more realistic and their love story deeper and more meaningful.
I was looking for a novella to help me over a reading slump and this wasn’t really it. I found a couple grammar errors and some other bits that didn’t make sense in the book. It just felt super rushed and meh.
this was instalove & insta-everything but I still really loved it! some of the things that Taygar the alien said had me giggling. perfect short spicy reads for entertainment and to help with a slump! can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
Plot: Charlotte needs money as fast as possible to pay for her mom's medical care. She puts herself up at a virgin auction and is bid on by an alien who recognizes her as his fated mate. However, there is miscommunication the whole way through, and neither of them is reading the signs correctly. Once they sort things out, do they have a chance to make their relationship work?
Commentary: I'm trying to imagine the world that this series has created where there are humans, aliens, and shifters, and they're all aware of each other and all have fated mates. I feel like it's a little bit of a stretch (she says while reading romances about cyborgs and giant wererabbits and aliens with four arms). It was a little bit of an awkward, forced mashup to me. But it was a quick read and will lead into the next book, which is an OTT shifter auction story.
Grammar/formatting: needs a little more proofreading
This was an entertaining first book in this multi author series. I'm not really a big fan of auctioning virginity but I loved that they could marry immediately and the gals got 1 million dollars as their compensation for 'giving it up' in this world. Charlotte needed the money for her mom's medical care and she got waaay more than she expected when Taygar bought her. He knew she was his fated mate and was so patient and generous with his caring of her once they got to his mansion. Did I mention he was an alien living on Earth? ;D Charlotte and Taygar were such a great couple, sparked humour and smoking hot romance together and I can't wait to dive into the next book :D
This is the second book of the Highest Bidder I've read and this one is by Michele Mills. It's a short story with a fantastic storyline. Charlotte needs the money to get her mother to a doctor in Germany so that he can heal her. Charlotte goes to the auction house with her virginity to get the million dollars to pay for the surgery. A voice in the back bids 25 million and wins the bid for Charlotte. His name is Taygar Tusk and he marries Charlotte the Voltare way. He carries her off. I loved these two characters and the relationship that they form. There are a few surprises in this story that you will enjoy and the HEA is amazing. I highly recommend this story and can't wait to read the last book in the series Auctioned to the LumberJack.

I loved this story! Very sweet instalove! It's a super short so there is not a lot of depth, or character development. There is also a lot of telling. ALL of which is normal for a short story. Very cute concept, and a sweet little plot. It has a great feel good ending! So, if you need a mental break for about two hours to sink into something sweet, with a feel good, uncomplicated vibe that will put you in a good mood, I highly recommend this little story!
So I knew going into this that it'd be almost fated mates, instalove/instalust and I didn't mind that at all.
However, I felt like it was unclear why marriage immediately was an option and she wasn't allowed to have an input, why is everyone so casual about the fact shifters and aliens exist and can someone please tell me if this dude bought a mansion next to each auction to find his mate?
Those questions aside, it was fast paced and enjoyable. Over the top? Yes.

I don’t know who ever allowed me to choose my own readings cause that’s the kinda of thing I end up reading. Line please don’t be too mad at me thanks I love you
What is an alien to do when hit by his heat when off planet?
Fast reading novelette with a good pace, fated mates, insta-lust and hilarious miscommunications. Part of a series by various authors, but each can be read as stand-alones. The common feature in each is the auction house.
⛔️ Contains scenes and/or references to a few subjects that may be offensive and/or a trigger for sensitive readers. These include adult language; steamy adult intimate scenes between alien and human female with dominance, etc.; violence such as consensual/non-consensual abduction, voluntary human auctions, etc.
There are a few grammatical issues such as incorrect punctuation typos, and extra inserted words, but there is also an area that doesn’t make sense to me as written. I uploaded my comments to goodreads for anyone interested. I mention this for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
Surprise, aliens have arrived and shifters are real! Charlotte needs money fast to pay for the medical treatment her mom needs to survive. She hears about a secret auction for virgins and decides that is the best way to earn the money she needs quickly. The process is difficult but she completes it and is scheduled for tonight’s event. For some reason, they have her going last. What if no one bids?! Charlotte is not crazy about the stipulation that she has to get married if the winning bidder wants it, but chances are that won’t happen, right?!
Taygar is from Voltare and he has been exiled from his planet after he blew the whistle and reported some very important people. He would do it all again to save his planet, but it couldn’t have come at a worse time personally, as he has hit his mating heat and must find his mate.
Lucky for him he finds out about one of Earth’s mating rituals and signs up for the auction. He hasn’t had any luck so far, but then as they are showcasing the human females, he smells her … his mate is here! Taygar is bound and determined that no one will outbid him! When he finally wins her, he can’t wait to show her the domicile he purchased and the mating bed he made.
It is done, she is his and Taygar is beyond touched that she studied up on the mating rituals for his planet! She is doing a great job pretending to be scared and resisting him just like the females from his planet. Now she just needs to accept the domicile, mating bed and his, um, attributes, and she will be his forever.
Charlotte knew there was a chance that aliens would be bidding tonight, but she had never actually seen one before, and there was no doubt, the winner was all alien! He has blood red eyes, gray skin and claws! She was told he wants to get married, but as soon as he appeared, he grabbed her up and took off running, right past the minister!
What happens after the shock wears off and they complete, um, their transactions? What will happen when secrets kept come to light?
This book was brilliant and I do love a hot and sexy romance even if it starts out as an auction. Charlotte Bing will do anything for her family and with her mother needing heart surgery everything is set but when is gets moved elsewhere it will cost more money and so Charlotte auctions off her virginity at Coco st James Auction house where anyone being Humans, Aliens, Shifters are allowed to enter but must also be wealthy can get in and bid and who ever has the winning bid can take the female as his bride and still knowing this Charlotte agrees to it. Taygar Tusk is a Voltare alien who has been banished from is home planet Voltare because he stood up to the corrupt council members to save his people and once the trial is over he will be allowed to return but in the meantime he goes into the mating fever and needs a wife/ mate and that’s why he has come to this auction and when he is there he can smell that his mate and will pay anything to have her and when she comes out on the stage in barely any clothes just makes him desire her more. But to have a mate he must follow the mating rules and to make a home, claim her and breed with her is there way. Charlotte is shocked that the bidding is skyrocketing and at the very end a last minute huge bid of 25 million is the last and she is sold to an alien who picks her up and throws her over his shoulder and runs away. Now she stands in front of a huge mansion and when Taygar asks her to enter his house he tells her about the mating rules that if she enters she will become his wife where he will claim her and breed her and asks if she excepts and she doesn’t think about because she is drawn to him and wants to see where is goes and that she now has to money for her mother’s surgery. There is so mush more to this book than in my review and I think I’ve given away to much anyway but this is definitely a must read I loved it.

Charlotte and her family are desperate, her mother needs an operation to live but the insurance won't pay for it saying it is experimental. Charlotte is doing everything she can to earn the money but her last chance is to auction off her v-card. She has been promised that for the night, she will get paid one million dollars. The bidders are wealthy men, shifters and possibly aliens. The one hang-up is that her bidder could opt for an on-the-spot marriage. Charlotte is the last virgin to be bid on and her winning bid is 20 million. The winner is a huge gray alien with big tusks. He claims that she is his mate and he carts her out over her shoulder.
Tayger is a Voltare and is exiled from his planet. His kind goes through a Mate-bond breeding cycle and he has to find a mate if he wants to have children. Luckily humans are compatible. Taygar is shocked to realize that Charlotte's pheromones match his own so they are perfect mates. He thinks that Charlottes protests are because she has studied up on his people's mating traditions when actually she is unhappy with his actions. Somehow these very two different people will have to learn how to get along together.

It sounds very clinical. Like… this is what happened then this happened then this happened. Or when H says he’s in mating heat but wth he has time to dress up and fo to an auction or be very robotic and formal when he explains things. Or when the H met h’s family jeebus that was the worst. Clinical. Telling, not showing. Boring.
There were also some inconsistencies like on their first night together, at first it says they fell asleep right after but the next day the h says that right after the first time he gave her a bath.
Or how about family of the h has acres of land but they still don’t have enough money to pay for the surgery which is why she did the auction. How are they maintaining the land but not able to take care of the surgery of the mom🙄
Word choice is also awkward. For example: “…they pounded up the ramp.”😑 pounded sounds like they either did the deed while going up the ramp or they stomped angrily as they went up.
I’m just… disappointed and turned off. It feels like the author just took commonly used words from other hit romance novels and sprinkled them randomly into her story without a care if it sounds good or makes sense.
Auctioned to the Alien Beast by Michele Mills is part of the Highest Bidder series and it was such a fun and delightful read!
Set in an Auction House, we're faced with fascinating characters, an intriguing world that's been built, and some of the best trope itches being scratched! It definitely has you contemplating a trip to the auction block!
Charlotte and Taygar are delightful! Charlotte is feisty and resilient and curious and endearing. Taygar is hilariously matter of fact, and driven, focused entirely on the female that is his and his alone.
This story is such a fun exploration of melding and merging cultures, navigating traditions, and the power and beauty of open and honest communication. Of course, there's a lot of sizzling chemistry steaming up the pages too!
So, if you're looking for a fast paced read that'll tickle your fancy, with a dash of alien and a smidge of human, this is the story for you!
With a Mum needing life-saving surgery Charlotte needs money fast and so she decides to auction her virginity. She finds herself barely covered and under bright lights as the Auction House receives bids from the males in the audience. Taygar Tusk, of the Voltare species, recognises her as his mate and so in a deep raspy voice continues to up the bidding for her and then he has won - the lights go up and a huge male marches forward ready to immediately perform marriage vows. But he’s not human but an alien with flashing red eyes, dark grey skin and tusks. He grins, picks her up and tosses her over his massive shoulder before stomping off into the night.
I enjoyed this story with the innocent (but incredibly naive) Charlotte and the worldly Taygar. I thought that the issues with the other bidder were too glossed over but I did find their relationship developed into something quite sweet. The ending with the parents was just weird. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.
This is a shorter but very sweet almost love at first sight story. Charlotte has a mountain of troubles. Mother is sick, her sister is still in high school and her aunt has come to live with them as well. At the moment the only one who can work is Charlotte but there is only so much of her to go round. An unexpected chance falls in her lap when she hears about an auction where the women would get one million dollars for participating. That would set her and her family up for life. What could go wrong? Taygar has found himself in a desperate situation. His species gos through what is called a mating heat, except he is not on his home planet. His only chance at survival is hopefully finding a compatible female which it seems can be found on Earth. He doesn't have high hopes but one look at Charlotte and he is lost. All he has to do is convince her that she is his mate, for life. How hard can that be?
Auctioned to the Alien Beast by Michele Mills is a fast-faced steamy instalove alien romance novella. Charlotte Bing leaves behind college to try and pickup extra work shifts. She desperately needs money to fund her ailing mother’s medical treatments. She is presented an opportunity to auction her virginity (and maybe even marriage) to wealthy men in exchange for one million dollars. She is scheduled to go last on the auction block and while most girls get maybe 1-5 million dollars in bids, someone bids 20 million for her. That someone turns out to be a billionaire alien named Taygar Tusk from Voltare. He is adorable, charming, and really sweet. I loved that he woo’d Charlotte and provided for her in every way. There was lots of yummy steam and a wonderful happily-ever-after.
I loved this book! It was such a fun, steamy quick read. Great world building. Charlotte signs herself up at an auction house to sell off her virginity for a million dollars- money she desperately needs for her mom's life-saving surgery that they can't afford. The auction house is for wealthy clients- humans, shifters, and even aliens (though an alien has never shown up). The only fine print that has her nervous is the marriage clause, in which her winning client can immediately choose to marry her. When a male pays a large sum of money to win her, she doesn't expect him to be an alien who claimed her his mate. I absolutely loved Taygar and Charlotte. He was such a sweet and respectful male. He and Charlotte's relationship develop very fast, but it felt perfect. I'd love more in this series and these characters. 5 stars.
