It’s been years since I visited the town I grew up in. So it’s just my luck that on my first night back I’m hassled by some jerk in a bar and have to make a run for it.
When we were kids we were always told to stay away from the woods. That if we went inside, then we would never return.
Now I’m running directly into them, away from one monster, but straight into the arms of another.
I’ve been captured by The Ogre. A hungry beast who eats everything he takes, and who lives off flesh and fear. But when he gets his hands on me, he decides he doesn’t want to eat me like the others.
This Ogre wants to punish me for coming into his forest.
And once he’s done, he might just keep me as his pet.
Note: This story was originally included in the limited edition Into The Woods Anthology. This edition has been expanded and contains an extra spicy bone-us scene ;)

Ngl this was a random download from the kindle freebies day because ridiculous erotica is always a great pallet cleanser to get you through other books you just can’t be bothered to finish.
How the author managed to include two sex scenes, foreplay, voyeurism, size kink and the inappropriate use of human remains as a sex toy in so few pages is astonishing.
It was beyond stupid and clearly a horny crime of a novella but I laughed and there’s nothing else I could ask from this.
Quick spicy read with a fantastic ending. Read to find out what The Ogre does with the bone of a man that wouldn’t take no for an answer — it’s a mouth full, but my jaw was dropped. This was my first read from Kassandra Cross and it won’t be the last, perfect monster smut *chefs kiss*
I got this for free on stuff your kindle day and LOL y’all this book was exactly what I needed after finishing a long book. It was a very quick read and it made me laugh, so I guess that’s all you can ask for with something wild like this 😂😂
What happens when you escape from the arms of one predator, only to fall prey to a much bigger one? I loved The Ogre’s Pet when it first appeared in the Into the Woods anthology, and this version is even more tantalizing. I’ve never been boned the way our main character was… but damn Kassandra has me intrigued. This book is primal in the best way and is a quick, spicy read about what happens when you wander into the woods despite hearing of the monsters lurking there. I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t read like a warning not to venture beyond the forest‘s border to me… it’s temptation incarnate, urging us to see what monstrous forms of pleasure may be lurking in the dark. 👀 Amazing job as always, Kassandra! 💚
I tried to give this one a chance. The writing wasn’t terrible but just the storyline even for a novella was just not there. I just sit here going, “WTF did I just read?” and honestly not in a good way.
One of my “stuff your kindle day” downloads and y’all…Wtf lmaooo! The amount of craziness the author managed to fit into 50 pages is wild and impressive. It definitely delivered some good laughs especially this line.
”Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum… Make me quiver with that tongue…”
Lmaooo… I can’t.
Oh, and you see that bone on the cover? Nah nvm. You’ll just have to find out.
Kassandra Cross took The Ogre’s Pet down a messed-up path that I’d have to call this a low-key good Halloween pick. It is both grim and somehow validating for survivors of sexual assault and harassment.
Readers should be ready for a bit of a macabre story that is one part disturbing but also satisfying for anyone who has dealt with sexual assault. The Ogre acts like a morally grey harbinger of doom for the men and represents those who did the FMC wrong.
My hesitancy in giving a five-star rating isn’t the gore. I have a strong stomach and it felt like a kind of grim fairy tale. I felt the FMC had to carry the brunt of the story development. The ogre doesn’t experience growth. There’s always a foreboding sense that one day he might tire of the FMC and eat her, too. That deflated the sense of victory I felt for the FMC.
I have never dabbled in Monster Romance, well I’ve read Ice Planet Barbarians but I’m sure that is classified as Alien Romance 👽
Look, I enjoyed this….more than I thought. A quick spicy fun read that didn’t need much plot! I will be reading more books like this because they are quick and fun.
This wasn’t overly vulgar and the spice was perfect for me.
This is an extended version of a story that had once been published as part of an anthology... and while it is good and spicy... I feel like the author should have gone the extra mile and extended it even further. A little world and character building wouldn't have been bad. But for what it is, it is entertaining.
This is a short, naughty, highly ridiculous yet highly enjoyable novella. If you are looking for masterful world building and a complicated plot, this isn’t the book for you. But if you are a fan of erotica and dark romantic fantasy and have half an hour or so to kill, this is the perfect book for you!! It was hot, it was crazy, it made it so I will never watch Shrek the same way again. What more could you want?!? 5/5⭐️
This book was small but packed a delightful punch. The fmc at a bar goes to a bar and a slimey guy decides to hurt and then stalk her. She travels into the woods and ends up being an ogres main course but not in the feel your tummy way lol. I loved how their romance progressed the fact she accepts him I thought was sweet and the way he is with her well you will have to pick up this gem to find out. I loved this book!
