That is, until one fateful night …

When she goes to investigate a mysterious sound coming from the clinic, there’s nothing there except some footprints that don’t look human. Next thing she knows, she's somewhere she doesn’t recognize and thrown into a confusing world of aliens she never knew existed. Faced with the idea of being true mates to not just one, but four of them, she has to decide whether to go back to her human life, or stay and learn to live among strangers with new rules she doesn't ever plan to obey.

Ok, so this is my first Alien RH Book. Considering I just started reading RH a month ago, I can say this book threw me in the deep end... and boy do I loooooove this pool!

So, I guess I should disclaim this was an ARC, right? And being completely new to the genre, I must say, I had to look up certain terms for:

After reading this book, I can say, with confidence, that I have a PHD!

Enemies to Lovers? Check
Forced Proximity? Check
Multiple POVs? Check
Mates? Check

An evil villain where our female lead, Leilani, has to kick some serious butt in order to *Spoiler Free*? CHECK!

No damsel in distress here!! CHECK, CHECK, CHECK!!

Side Note: So far, this is the smuttiest book I've ever read. Not sure what that says about me, but for those of you who want more than just a smut book ...stick with it! The plot develops throughout the chapters, ok!?

Big Thanks to A. Vrana for this amazing read!

As always, here's my A-Type Personality Number Loving Rating System:

Plot: ⭐⭐⭐.5 (Keep Going!!!)
Writing: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I loved each character, particularly the female lead, Leilani)
World Building: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tension/Romance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Explosive!!!)

*Side Note: Dub-Con in the first chapter so pls check the TWs!!!

Since I believe some books are so good that they deserve higher than 5 stars, I have a bonus point section! YAY!

Bonus:
Smut (0.5 pts per chili pepper): 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (+2.5 pts) *I'm tempted to throw in a few more peppers, but I need to keep my rating system consistent!
Reread Worthy (Yes= +0.5 pts, No= -0.5 pts): Double Yes (+1 pts)

So (3.5+4+5+5+5+2.5+1)/5 = 5.2 stars!

Side Note: It would've been 4.5 stars without my bonus points section! YAY!

DNF at 25%.

This is a polyamorous book where one human is super attractive to four aliens. At this point in the book, she’s only met three.

But this is one of those times more is not better. Her first partner and her formed a strong bond and then two other guys came in, including the alien leader. He accidentally breaks her jaw, which the first guy heals.

But he decides that she’s his too. Even tho she doesn’t want him. She ends up being turned on by him but she doesn’t want him. And she doesn’t want to be bonded with any of them. But the choice is taken out of her hands.

This book plays fast and loose with consent. And it super bothers me when there’s world building where the sexual imperative overrules choice.

There’s a lot of fun things about this book but I just cannot feel good about her being forced to be in a relationship with a guy who broke her jaw on their first meeting, no matter how accidental.

Why choose but make it aliens!!!! Yes please, oh and while we are at it let’s make our FMC plus size. All of my favorite things rolled into one book and I am one extremely grateful to have received an arc to read!

Leilani is our plus size fmc, I loved how much of a badass she is, she was not shy about exploiting when the aliens around her underestimated her abilities. she is on this planet because earth is unlivable, but This planet happens to be uninhabitable for humans and at every turn the plants and wild around them try to kill them

Leilani is abducted one night and oh my Gahh are these aliens hot af. They haven’t had much interaction with the humans on their land and in fact most of them hate the humans. But Leilani brings out the beast in these beings and things get hot, heavy and honestly hilarious!

I loved every minute of this book!!!

I loved this rh alien romance so much... no comments, the only reason I didn't give it 5⭐ is cause there was lots of vocabulary to check while reading and my dyslexic ass got tired of it.

I received an ARC for this book and I have to say, I was so excited to read it. I’m a big fan of alien romance in general, but this book really exceeded any expectations I had when starting it.

Leilani is such a realistic, fun, and funny FMC. Sometimes I can get annoyed with FMC’s that are too quirky or make stupid or unrealistic decisions. Leilani, however, has great inner thoughts that really pull you into the plot even more and help you to really empathize with everything happening.

Now let’s talk about her men… aliens… males. Whatever you want to call them! I loved each and every one of them. Some reverse harems can be hard to follow if there are too many men, especially if some don’t get as much time with her and we don’t get to know them as well as the others. I feel like the author did a great job of showing us each male’s personality and allowing us to love them just as much as Leilani. Plus each guy was so different that it really hit all the best traits to have in a book boyfriend. Possessive, loving, sassy, and SO easy to love.

When it comes to the plot, I thought the author did a great job of world building. I much prefer that she showed us through the story rather than told us in the first couple chapters how the world works. At some points, it helped us to relate to Leilani more, since we were figuring out parts of their culture right as she was. The world in this series felt so unique and had so many interesting, cool parts that I haven’t encountered in other books in this genre.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t even noticed if there were grammar or spelling mistakes because I was so into the plot. Highly recommend!! :)

As someone who got the privilage to read this before it's official release, I am happy to say that this is a very good read. I was so enraptured I finished the book within a day, eager to continue to the next chapter and see what happens to our fiery, funny main character.

It is definitely living up to what I had hoped to read, and more. The characters and world building is interesting, and I am absolutely looking forward to this series and how it will develop. The story progresses quickly, but I believe that may be in part my fault due to how quickly I read all of it.

I wont say much more, as I dont want to risk going into too much detail and give anything away to those who have not been able to read it. As I said previously, I am looking forward to this story progressing and filling out, I enjoyed seeing the different perspectives of different characters within the story, and learning about the people our main character meets, and their customs and traditions, as well as their biology, as we begin to know rather intimitely thanks to our main character.

I read it in the past but couldn't really remember it. It's a good read, and I still enjoyed it. But it's not a favorite. Alien reverse harem. Attracted to smell. I was worried she was gna to end up with 20 guys, but it stopped at 4.

Recommend? Maybe. Its okay but not brilliant.

So you're telling me that this super duper advanced society has this super duper advanced technology that allows them to automatically download the Earth English language but none of them think to research what an earthling is? We must have lots of sex to understand what is happening!!! This book is way too long to continue when it starts out with such a huge ass plot hole.

Move over Ruby Dixon, a new alien romance queen is stepping into the light. A. Vrana has done it again, and this time without emotionally destroying me. As always check the content list on her page. The book is about Leilani who, due to some personal trauma, is trying to survive on a military base on an alien planet until she can transfer off world. After yelling out a desperate request to the universe, the universe answers in the form of her fated mates. I love how different each of the male love interests are, different but at the same time everything she needs. A take no shiz fmc and her boys kicking ass and taking names. I can't wait to see how everything continues in the next book!

Too much talking, especially during sex. The heroine is too blasé about everything. There is zero tension. She asks to be fingered when she’s captured?? The interesting thing is that there’s two males (so far). That was different. But the writing isn’t good enough for me to continue.

Hot Alien RH

If I had to say I’d read this again, I absolutely would. The fmc is my favorite type of fmc, one with life experience, bravery, cunning, and intellect. She’s also most importantly one with lots of sexual experience, and I truly enjoy reading fmc’s like that. The naive virgin will never be my type, but that’s neither here nor there.

I must say this story is definitely on the fast burn side of things and while that’s not my favorite type of romance. It was still very good. The men are amazing and very likeable, and they fall fast and hard. Definitely faster than the fmc so at least it wasn’t super fast burn on all accounts. Thought we can definitely chock it up to being denial on Leilani (the fmc’s) part.

While I gave this story 5 stars I do feel like it could have been stretched out into a several part series. I know this series will be a bunch of interconnected standalones. But I feel like these characters themselves deserved more books written about them. I’m definitely sad about it because I wanted to read more about them and wasn’t ready for their story to end. Though I’m sure we will see them make cameos in the other books.

I also feel like because it wasn’t stretched out into more books. The fmc gaining powers through her men felt a little too, intentional? I’m probably not using the right term but it was a little too convenient. It made her feel overpowered and I would have liked it to be built up, especially since she is human. It all came a little too naturally to her, being able to harness her mens power and literally control lightening itself. I think her power up would have flowed a little more naturally had this book been longer or stretched out into another part.

I think I’m just sad they won’t be the focus in next book. Also I felt a little chemistry between the fmc and her new attendant Rath, at the end there and would have loved to see it be explored. Other than that this book was amazingly steamy and i will definitely be reading the next one.

Safety/ things to be noted:

Sexually experienced h
Alien H
Knots
Mention of child loss
At least one inexperienced H
No ow drama
Steam steam steam

Interesting story

The story takes place on a planet where humans have landed on years ago from Mars. Leilani is a doctor, fighting a losing battle against dying humans.

When she stumbles upon two alien worriers, they sort of kidnap her when she is gravely injured by one of them. They bring their King to meet her as well and when an alien from another sector sees her pleasuring herself, she finds out she has four mates.

I will admit, I was very hesitant of continuing at the 30% mark. There are dubious consent issues happening in this book (the issue of consent is very loosely handled here) and it was basically just spice. Leilani said she didn’t want the males but she ended up boinking with them several times. At around 45% mark I could finally see that this story was going somewhere and decided to stick with it.

The spice and smut does happen frequently throughout the book but the latter part actually has a plot and not just boinking around. And that plot was interesting enough to keep going and in the end I’m glad I did read this one. I will say, the way Leilani treated of the males was annoying and made me want to scream. She said she didn’t want him and he was clearly struggling with it since he had recognized her as his mate and it was slowly killing him inside to stay away from her, especially with the mixed signals she was giving.

There was also one other point that made me cringe. Leilani suffers physical violence in the hands of one of her mates. It’s accidental but the way it was handled didn’t leave the best taste in my mouth. Yes, it’s very early in the book and they’ve just met, but his reaction and not-reaction to the violence inflicted should’ve put him out of the running in my mind.

Overall, I did like the book and the second half, but there are definitely dub con elements in play and if you are squeamish about physical violence, please be warned.

Tropes:
Alien romance
Touch her and 💀
Fated mates
FMMMM
Why choose
Dub con
Physical violence from MMC towards FMC
Enemies to lovers
Forced proximity

A very low three stars.

Look, I didn't hate it. I appreciate a 35-year-old, non-virgin who likes sex, military educated, doctor, theoretically POC, curvy heroine (though neither are very well established and not at all incorporated). I liked the way the men/beasts were very caring, perfectly willing to say lovely, loving things. Plus, the subversion of the "mine" trope, where the men say they belong to her, not that she belongs to them, made me happy. But I definitely had issues with it.

Some of those issues are of the 'this is problematic' sort, such as the fact that there are basically no other women in the book. There is a single human friend who appears briefly (thus, I expect she'll be the heroine in the next book); otherwise, the heroine is the only female in the entire 400+ page book. Or the whole noble-savage-y, Native American-like representation of the aliens. Hmmm, kinda icky.

Mostly they are of the annoying deus ex machina variety, where the heroine gains almost limitless power and then defeats aliens —bigger, more knowledgeable, better trained, and more powerfully socially positioned than herself—with ease. Suuuure, I believe that. Or the way she only encounters five males, each of whom falls for her instantly (one is dispatched). But then that whole plot-line is dropped, and the reader never knows whether she magically meets her mates first or whether the humans really do entrap every male they encounter. It's sloppy plotting. In fact, I think a lot of it is sloppy plotting. Very author-insert-y.

And yes, I do realize that the sex really is the point here. World-building is just the frame that the sex is hung on, and the plot is mere garnish. But that didn't make it any less annoying, especially since the book is so unnecessarily long —far longer than what feels like the genre standard. All in all, I call this a middle-of-the-road read. I didn't hate it, but I was kinda meh about it.

First book I have read by A. Vrana and let me say that it exceeded my expectations. I have always been a fan of the paranormal/alien style books, especially the smutty ones. This author really caught my eye.

Reverse harem, obsessed men, alien lovers and one brave plus sized little human female. This book hit all the right spots.

Leilani and her four men were so emotional in this book that I really felt connected to them, despite it being a standalone. We get struggles of the humans such as sickness and death, in all forms, as well as the trials of the alien men. It was nice to have such a vivid picture of the lands and I hope in the following books we will learn even more about the Desalium. I did read the e-book and the art provided at the end gave me a very good picture of these men. I cant say that I imagined them correctly through out the book, but once I saw that picture I was hooked.

Booktok brought me here and I came for M'Beko and fell for U'etme. All the men are amazing and provide different aspects I believe every girl can easily fall in love with. If you are new to the world of alien lovers, this book might seemed far fetched but trust me, you are going to love the men.

I also love that Leilani stays true to her human heritage through out the book, until the end ( you will see). I wasnt mad about how it ended though and hope this group pops up later on in life as well, so we can get a chance to see some Kits! Without trying to spoil anything, if you are an older woman looking for a more adult life experience book to read, this is it. Its not the whirlwind romance for the young model types you see in most books and that was quite refreshing.

Cant wait to see what's in store!

Also spoiler: the spicy scenes are amazing if you're into the rough stuff and you should not read this at work!

4.8 stars/4.8 spice

I can honestly say that I had no set up about this story. I received this as an ARC and while I knew it was Sci fi romance. I didn't actually know more than the small blurb. This is the first story of the author's I have actually read, but I can say with enthusiasm that it won't be the last.

The world building of this story was very well done and kept me engaged. It was just in the right side of details to actually put picture and atmosphere in my head. The pacing was spot on and the character development of our FMC was actually the shining spot.

I'm a sucker for a flawed main character that gets over themselves and gets out of their own way in order to be the person that the reader wants to root for. Leilani isn't the perfect woman, but her group isn't either. The author does make it a great read in that then being perfect for each other is believable and wanted.

I don't want to spoil things but I am v much enamored with all of Leilani's dudes. No claim because she'd end me 😂

It was a good lengthy read with all developed characters and a world in which I'd like to read more. If you're looking for a Why Choose romance with a kick a** FMC and a group of alien warriors who come off the page as actual fleshed out likeable characters, pick this up. It's got a sprinkle of angst, snappy dialogue, a gladiator style fight scene hijinx and a pretty cool A.I.

I enjoyed the heck out of the story and am just casually waiting for Sarai's book 😶 you know, if that is in the cards... asking for a friend.

A. Vrana has stolen my heart again. I am starting to think anything she writes will be gold. I love her writing style! I was so into it I finished in a day and I am dying for the next book. I am guessing it will be Sarai? I hope so. I really liked Leilani. She takes no shit, period. She is strong and independent and when her aliens try to protect her she always says to hell with that and charges head first into the fray. She has her broken parts and weakness but there is such a great resilience about her character that I really liked.

All of her aliens have their own individual personalities which is REALLY nice to see. I think one of the biggest complains I have about multiple partners in romance is their characters start to blur together or don't have anything special about them. But that's not the case here. They are all very different and lovable and I couldn't say who I like most. Another good sign she did well with character development.

If you're into pretty fast paced plot with a shit ton of hot sex scenes you've got to read this one. The world building is just enough to give me a great map to build off of in my head without being too long or detailed to where I would get bored. None of that here. her world is so unique to other alien romances I've read and I cannot wait to read more from her. I'd dare say I like her Sci-fi writing a little more than her contemporary, although her contemporary series is amazing and all emotion. So if you like that go read her other stuff too.

Solid romance read. My first time reading something by this author. She's very talented at world building. Honestly, there is better world building and stronger characterization than most books in the alien smut genre. There is a lot of sex, but a shocking amount of decent plot.

I picked this book up on a tiktok recommendation, and because I usually love multiple MMCs books. But weirdly enough, I think this book would have been better with fewer males leads. Trying to ensure each guy had a good arc and love motivation for our FMC had this book a tad overlong.

I would have killed for a solo M'Beko story or really diving into the political ramifications of E'acko falling in love with a human. I really want to know Ke'illeum and U'etme better - I can't think of anything personal besides goofy and stoic, respectively. And their powers seem really cool, but it's all vague and mushy, and I literally just finsihed this book - gun to my head I couldn't tell you who had what powers or did it matter....idk. Yet I'm still very invested in this world, and it's so frustrating that it feels like I got too much and not enough all at the same time.

All of my criticisms are small and very personal and very subjective to my own taste. Ultimately, the book is fun! It's hot and very sexy. I squeed like a school girl. Very good escapist piece, and it delivers on the creating the feelings that make a good romance novel.

I'm excited for more.

This was my second time reading Wicked Creation, and it was an interesting experience returning to it knowing what to expect. There are parts of this book that I genuinely love — moments of atmosphere, character interaction, and emotional tension that still stand out even on reread. At the same time, there are elements that don’t fully land for me, which made this feel like a more mixed reading experience overall.

What worked best for me was how easy this book is to read. The pacing flows well, the chapters move quickly, and it’s the kind of story that’s easy to fall back into without needing to reorient yourself constantly. It doesn’t feel heavy or overly complex, which made this reread comfortable and accessible rather than demanding.

While not every element of the story resonated with me, I did appreciate how the narrative builds towards its conclusion. It had a good happy ending.

Overall, this is an easy, engaging read — even if it’s a book I have mixed feelings about in certain areas. One I’m glad I revisited, even if it isn’t a flawless favourite.

I received an ARC for this book and I have to say, I read it in a night! I love ‘why choose’ romance, sci-fi and a full figured heroine, so I was ready to love this—and I wasn’t disappointed! This wasn’t your typical ‘kidnapped from Earth for bed slave purposes’ trope either. No, humans were already in space, exploring a new planet, and quite frankly doing a trash job of surviving said planet. Our heroine is a doctor who has lost one too many patients to new viruses when she inadvertently discovers that the planet is inhabited, and that she herself is dying.

Cue romantic entanglements.

And lots of spice. LOTS of spice. Good spice. Did I mention the spice?

So if you love a why choose romance and like to live (vicariously or not) on the spicier side of life, this book is for you.

May need to buy a print version now…

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book as an arc reader and I fucking loved it! I highly recommend this book!

It’s a why choose alien romance with a curvy badass FMC and four sexy as hell alien! Leilani is stubborn, headstrong and she don’t take any shit from any of the boys and their beasts! What can i say about the boys E’acko, M’beko, U’etme and Ke’illum! They are sexy AF with their possessive touch her and you die vibes but each do bring something different to their relationship with Leilani and their compliment each other. This is an incredible story which is beautiful written and the level of spicy in this book is sooo good 🥵🌶️ and so hot and intense that they will leave you breathless!

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, why choose, alien romance, I highly recommend this book!

This book was amazing! I am honored that I was able to get an early copy and read it when I did. The main character is an amazing plus sized woman who doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. She isn’t shy or timid and I love that for her. Then comes the fact that she gets not one or two, but FOUR mates. My heart couldn’t handle it! Just to see the characters progress and watch how they interact together makes you want to continue reading alone. Then watching the FMC prove herself and her strength throughout the book, whether it be to her superiors or her mates made me so happy. No matter what happens, evening being abducted by aliens, the FMC stayed true to herself and continued to be a badass throughout the whole story. 12/10 would recommend!

If you're an Ice Planet fan, definitely read this. (Or, if you're new to alien romances, read this instead of Ice Planet.) There's similar levels of absolute smut, plus a significantly larger amount of world building and actual plot. It's slower read because of it, but that's not a bad thing.

I found the FMC a little annoying during several parts of the book, but it was just the author showcasing how independent she was, even if it was a little obnoxious to read. The MMCs were all great, although we definitely got more time and more POVs with some of them and it felt a little unbalanced by the end.

Definitely a fun read, probably a great introduction to reverse harems as well as the spice scenes are spicy but nothing too crazy.

There are quite a few inconsistencies/plot holes/world building holes/etc... I think the author bit off more than they could chew and it shows. Lelani is annoying. She's supposed to be a doctor but acts really stupid for most of this book. There is a lack of physical character description, the only thing you really get is that they have pointy ears and change colors. They're aliens, I don't care if they look kinda like humans we need more description than that.

The ending is extremely rushed and abrubt. You hardly get to spend time with the characters all together, despite the book being over 400 pages. You don't really get any sort of closure with the human colony.

I could see the potentinal but was let down.

!!!

Um, yes!

Finally, after getting stuck in a rut with so-so books I read this beauty. It’s hard to find RH books about humans that are good, let alone one about aliens.
They’re typically “Wham, Bam, Thank you, Fin.”

This book had an actual plot, interesting/different characters, good steamy scenes and more.
There were scenes where my pulse was racing with the characters during some crazy good action filled fighting.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the story was told, how intriguing and interesting the characters were, and I can’t wait to learn more about this planet and it’s inhabitants. More please!!!!

Wow!

This was so great! After reading books that are basically the same thing over and over it was good to find something new! I actually have been tired and worn out on RH for a while now. Haven't read any since it became all you can find but the description of this was intriguing and I'm so glad I gave it a chance! The only draw back of the whole book was *SPOILER*

I got a little tired of the h constant "I can't be with y'all" "you don't understand" blah blah then she would turn around and try to do them ahain. Talk about mixed signals. I did start kind of glossing over those parts.

Vrana is back with aliens this time and let me tell you, I am here for it! Book one takes us to a planet similar to Earth where we find our leading lady depressed and yelling about needing men in her life. Well she gets her wish soon after when she is kidnapped by some extremely hot and protective male aliens who soon decide they are going to mate with the curvy and feisty human female they found. Who knew being kidnapped and mating aliens could be so spicy!

This book was SO much fun! If you're into smexy aliens (kindly) kidnapping a badass plus-size lady doctor and promptly rocking her world, this is the book for you. I'm not a huge alien romance person but this book may be changing things for me. I loved the development of the characters and appreciated the glossary in the back to keep track of the various alien objects/plants/names. I can't wait to see the rest of the series! :D

Received an Arc for this book and I absolutely devoured it. The author did an amazing job of having the perfect combinations of world building, character development, plot, and a ton of spice. This Story follows our Plus size FMC, Doctor Leilani and her 4 fated alien mates, and their inner beasts. This story was very interesting and I couldn't put it down. I cannot wait to read more by this author in the future.

I am pretty sure A. Vrana could write literally any genre or in any style and I would read it as though my life depended on it. I have read all four of her books and they just keep getting better. The story of Lani and her mates is beautiful, funny, sassy, and heartwarming. There is just the right amount of spice, push and pull, suspense, and action. Beautifully balanced, wonderfully executed, and brilliantly crafted. Another stellar book and an absolute must read!
