After a few ghostly encounters, Hannah becomes obsessed with learning the truth about what happened in her recently purchased home. Thrust into the mystery, what Hannah finds in the house's crumbling halls, she'll never be able to unsee again.
It's... interesting. And I liked that the main character is struggling with self-confidence issues and yet she not only manages to get away from her awfully abusive parents, she also builds a cleaning business and she's not ashamed nor afraid of getting her hands dirty on the job.
The plot is not particularly good (I'm still struggling with the whys from Hannah's mother's letter) but I was engaged enough with the main character that I wanted to get to the end of the story.
Jess Trepanier's narration is very good and that helps a lot :P
By the time I was halfway through the book, I was looking for it to be over. There was so many times that I just wanted to kick Hannah's butt. She'd make a really stupid move and I'd think this woman is dumber than dirt. However, I finally made it to the end...thank goodness....and I can finally delete it from my tablet.
Not my cup of tea. The plot is very predictable and most of the book is unnecessarily long dialogue where the characters are just saying out loud every thought and action. I felt like there wasn’t much of a build up of tension even though they talked nonstop about the danger to them. The characters were flat and even the main character didn’t have much complexity to her. I will say it’s an easy read so good for vacation or if you have a lot of distractions.
I loved this book. Quick awesome read. Hannah Stone has created a life with her husband and daughter away from her overbearing parents. After her parents die in an automobile accident, Hannah finds out she has inherited their house and her and her family decide to move into the house. Strange things keep happening until..... Read this book to find out what happens in the end!!!
I enjoyed the book, which kept my attention throughout the two days it took to read. I enjoyed the suspense and not suspecting the villain until the very end.
The book had a plot that could have been better thought out. I’m sorry author, but I found multiple grammatical errors and I don’t think it was very well written.
I loved the suspense and drama of what was going on. It was a really great way to to express how much family meant to each other. Twist and turns kept me reading into the next day.
The was a well written book. I enjoyed reading through the book. I could imagine all the sceness and even found myself playing the scary music in my mind at the qpproriate times. And telling Hannah do go in there. A good ending to the mystery
Well written and thought-out book. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I knew who the killer was as soon as I read the introduction to them in the book. Kind of ruined the rest of it for me knowing who it was. Other than that, it was an entertaining read and did keep my interest.
