A dangerous voyage. The last hope for a kingdom on the edge of destruction. Tia O’Shea is finally going home. It’s all she’s wanted since her arrival in the strange land, and yet, leaving Lenya feels like abandoning her heart and the one who holds it. But all of Lenya is in danger. The fire plains encroach upon their lands, destroying villages and the fae within them. Soon, there won’t be anything left of the place she’s come to love. Not without the crystals that provide the only magic the Lenyans have. The same crystals that are in short supply. The same crystals that lie in abundance across the four kingdoms on the other side of the fire plains. To reach them, they have to find a way home. And that means traversing the violent maelstrom beyond the Vale of Storms—a voyage no sailor has ever survived and few have attempted. If they stay, they will die. If they leave, they will also likely die, but they have to try. Tia’s family awaits her return, but Keir doesn’t want to let her go. And the fae of Lenya hope their leaders can conquer the storm and reach the foreign shores in time. Because that’s all they have left. Hope. Fae's Return is the ninth book in the Queens of the Fae series. Prepare to lose yourself in this beautifully wicked epic fantasy world with masterful world building, dark and twisty secrets, lies, powerful magic—and devastatingly handsome fae princes. Michelle MacQueen is a USA Today bestselling author of love. Yes, love. Whether it be YA romance, NA romance, or fantasy romance (Under M. Lynn), she loves to make readers swoon. The great loves of her life to this point are two tiny blond creatures who call her "aunt" and proclaim her books to be "boring books" for their lack of pictures. Yet, somehow, she still manages to love them more than chocolate. When she's not sharing her inexhaustible wisdom with her niece and nephew, Michelle is usually lounging in her ridiculously large bean bag chair creating worlds and characters that remind her to smile every day - even when a feisty five-year-old is telling her just how much she doesn't know.
Tierney, Keir and Bronagh are fighting to find a way to get to Iskalt, Tierney's kingdom, to get help before Lenya is destroyed by the fire plains. They have a dangerous journey ahead of them, with no guarantee that they will make it out alive.
This is the last book in Tierney's trilogy, and the ninth book in the whole series. It feels like the series just keep getting better and better, and I'm happy we're getting more books because I really don't want to leave this world! It's amazing to watch how former enemies come together when their whole existence is on the line. The characters grow and find strength they didn't even knew they had. Since this is the end of a trilogy we get a happy ending, but the authors kind of shocked me by killing off a couple of important side characters...! And we also got a small cliffhanger in the epilogue...
I don't know if it's intended, but this book got me thinking about the climate and the environment. Here it's old magic that's caused the fire plains, but there are similarities to man's reckless handling of our planet. Behind both are thoughts of power and greed. All kingdoms work together to save their world, just like we need to do. In Fae's Return they finally succeed. Will we?

I really enjoyed Keir & Tia’s story, but this ending was soooo easy. It took 3 whole books to find one spell to break a barrier in the last trilogy, but two chapters to solve de biggest threat in fae history? It was too slow, ghan too fast. The pacing was off.
The rest = very good 🤌🏼 character growth & dev, loved it!
I was super excited to get more romance in this book finally. I feel like it took so long to get them to this point but I'm not a hundred percent into how fast its moving now. There needs to be a happy medium between the two but regardless I was happy that Tia and Keir are finally showing signs of a relationship in this book. We weren't introduced to any new characters this time, but we did see all the old characters from the other books in the series. At this point there are so many characters in this book series that I need a family tree. I really would like to see the authors incorporate one in the books in the future. Even with the confusion I was glad to see all of them interact with each other. I feel like the characters could have had a bit more character growth but there's a whole other book coming out yet so I'm holding out for some more deeper moments of thought. Keir was the one who did the most changing so far in this series and I love him to pieces. However, I feel like Tia is too perfect at times. She didn't have her powers for most of this series but even when she did have them, she was still this super strong confident bad ass woman. Her only flaw through the series as of now is she's terrible at portal magic. I would have liked to see her struggle a little more and be a little less perfect.
Plotwise this book was slightly predictable, but it was still very enjoyable. I knew that her family would be willing to help this strange unknown kingdom, but I was hoping for some more action or conflict. I felt like at some point in this book we should have gotten some kind of plot twist that was more shocking. I wasn't expecting the grief and heartbreak of losing some of the characters in this book. I think I felt the death more than our characters did. I thought for sure that this book would be the one with someone betraying someone but atlas I was wrong.
The way this book ended made me wonder what is coming next. Everything felt so tied up that I'm not sure what will be the next installment. I'm hoping whatever it is that it's emotional and the characters have some more depth as they adventure into whatever this wonderful world building has in store for them. So far, all these books have been a fun, quick and enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who loves fantasy.

In book nine of the 'Queens of the Fae series, with her friends, Tia is on her way home but the trek isn't going to be easy for they must cross the ocean, through the Vale of Storms and then the maelstrom.
Picking up from where the last book left off, once again the reader is taken into a wonderful world full of magic and characters that you can't help but to like.
I can't give too much away, but I highly recommend these books to all readers fourteen and older. There's adventure, battles, politics, and friends, all with a touch of romance. There are no overly drawn-out details so it's a quick read, but even though most of the books end in mini cliffhangers, as did this one (grrr), this is one of those series that I want to keep reading.
Fae’s Return had me anticipating another great book in the series but I wasn’t prepared for what was to come.
Through hardship and struggle comes motivation to unite forces through great perils. Be prepared that not everyone will make it through this journey. But for those who do not, they will be remembered.
I was expecting this book to be the end of Tierney’s journey and the end of what would be to come but alas, there is more. And of course there’s a cliffhanger, which made me start screaming at my phone like a mad person.
This story is absolutely incredible, like all of the rest of Michelle Macqueen’s stories. I haven’t found a story of hers I haven’t liked. I was so eager to read this book, I had it downloaded a minute after seeing the email. It’s a must read, there’s a lot of plot points that get uncovered in this book, a lot of questions that get answers. I am thrilled there is more to come but cliffhangers always make me antsy to know more.

After the disaster with the ship, it looks like all hope is lost for Lenya. But neither Tia, nor Bronagh or Keir are giving up and are determined to do anything to save the fae from the catastrophic fate. And it looks like there really is a slight chance of success, however bad the situation looks. Nevertheless, the journey is also accompanied by many revelations that cut deep and before understanding they bring only pain.. This book brings a lot of adventurous and action-packed scenes as well as deep emotional moments and great character development. The characters are put in front of very difficult decisions, and with no easy or painless solution it shows the personality strength to take the brave step out of the comfort zone and safety. Also the relationships grow tighter - which is also not surprising considering the circumstances. There are also many endearing moments, and I feel I really grew attached to the cast and the fantastic world in this series.
Torn between two worlds Tiernay and Keir come from such different worlds. To her, magic is a living entity. To him, a life of war is all he’s ever known. King Lochlan knows what it takes to make a great partnership. To me, his comment ‘I do not care if you wear a crown, only that you’re able to support hers’ is spot on regarding the relationship he envisions for not only his daughter’s future husband but for the kingdom she will inherit as well.
This book continues its lessons and examples on leadership: ‘No one is ever blameless … and no one is ever entirely at fault.’ Not every trade has to be equal, but they should be equitable in the long run. It’s important to know when to give up power and/or position for the greater good.
Some sage advice from the author: Always have a Plan B or at least a contingent plan for Plan A.
Want to find out what Tierney has in mind for her next adventure. Well, not really hers if the title ‘Fae’s Envoy’ is any indication…
I could not put this down until I finished the very last page. My goodness...this gem takes the reader on one doozy of a ride filled with action, adventure, highs and lows, heartbreak, magic, revelations, humor, surprises and lots of adrenaline along the way. Suffice to say there's never a dull moment! We see characters we've grown to love over the course of these books truly come into their own. There are definitely a few surprises I didn't see coming that had my jaw on the floor and tears in my eyes....my oh my, I cannot wait to see what's next in this brilliant series!!!! There's a slight cliffhanger at the end, but nothing too crazy 😉. This is what I would call an emotional rollercoaster....so buckle up now and prepare for the ride of a lifetime. It's CERTAINLY worth the price of admission!!! Go ahead and treat yourself now.
This book was truly emotional roller coaster. The hardships, the laughs, the love, the loss, and the utter heartbreak. I honestly don't remember that last time a book had me crying this much. I never felt so the "emotional damage" so whole heartly. Michelle and Melissa have crafted an absolute pull on your heart strings book. Tia, Keir, Gully, and Eavha all hold a special place in my right there with the O'Shea brothers, Brea, and Myles. Also, I just want to say I love Loch as a dad. The conversation that Loch has with Keir had me dying with laughter, poor Keir he was so confused by Loch responses, now that is a dad that knows his daughter. Lastly, I hope that the ones that suffered losses in this book please give me the relief of giving them happiness in the next, I can't have that sadness on my soul.
Such an exciting conclusion to the last book. So many twists and turns that I didn’t expect. The witty banter between characters is hilarious. Such great worlbuilding tactics from this authorthat it makes the kingdoms very interesting. After loosing the last ship that was meant to carry Tia & Gully home they almost lost hope of ever making it home. Our group wasn't to be deterred from achieving their goal. Kear was proving to be a very useful addition to their group. He picked up on something that gave them another lead. As our group of travelers made their jourbey across the burning lands they would face terror of the sea, heartache, hope and destiney. But Kear was in love with Tia and had to find a way they could remain together. First he feared meeting Tia's parents and convincing them to help with the crystals. So many goals to be accomplished in this one.
This is book 3 for Tia's story and there are 2 other before series in this world that you might want to check out before you read this one. But if you are all caught up and enjoyed the others you will enjoy this ending too. Warning this book will make you cry a bit but the characters in this book are wonderful and you can't help but to love them. One of the reasons this series has so many books is because these ladies make fantastic side characters that we just want more. Happy reading .

Magic is broken in Faeville. Tia did it. Completely on accident. Who knew she could break a world with wonky portal magic. Turns out neighbors literally had to come together and combine magic to save their world. While they save the world, many lives were lost. Leaving the world a little broken in the aftermath.
Adversity and adventure are the fae way of life in the four kingdoms. So is the beautiful way love blooms from those trials and conflicts. Kier and Tia are my favorite characters in this series. I can't wait to see how they grow and evolve in the books to come.
2.5⭐️ I am so upset about who was killed off. How dare everyone lose their love interest except Tia who caused all of this mess. I get it. Someone had to die for the drama of it but why them! Obvious choices were right there for characters who’s stories had already been told. I hate when authors cut off promising story lines with a cheap death.
Tia and Keir are so cute I just can’t! Them trying to deny their feelings for each other is just so funny because we all know they are so in love! I was sad to see what happens to Logan because you can see how much Tobey loves him. We love to see the Fae world come out on top though and overcome the magic of the Vatlands
So many twists and turns with all the realms coming together to fight for their survival. Tia's journey leads her back home and I loved the reunions. Story is fast paced. While it ended well there is still more to come and I am really looking forward to it.
this was the strongest entry in the Queens of the Fae series, it was what I enjoyed from the previous entries. The characters were great and I enjoyed going on this adventure.

I absolutely adore this entire series! Tia finally made it back. Sadly, there was some heartbreak and grief and many were lost but at least they managed to save all the kingdoms. I’m so glad this series is continuing, it’s one of my top 5 favorite series for sure!!
After the steady decline in excitement from the last book of this series, this one picks up pace. They finally make it to Iskalt and were able to create a plan to save Lynia. This book of the series had some character development for Kirk.
Although two characters were written off is such a terrible way, I do think it was necessary. It will built further character in the other characters. there could have been more in this book however with the communication between both sides of the fire plains, once of course they knew how to push back the fire plains.
This was a good book with a decent ending to it. The ending also leaves a cliffhanger into the next book. So off I go into another adventure!
With the fire plains closing in and the great ship meant to save them all burned to a crisp, all hope seems lost on Tia, Gully, and Veren ever reaching home, let alone bringing help to save Lenya. In a last-ditch effort, Keir recruits a daring captain, his daughter, and a handful of crew hands to carry a small delegation across the vale of storms, hoping they all make it through unchartered territories alive. But the seas prove as rough as their reputation and only five make it through alive. When at last they reach the barren frozen lands of Iskalt, their new mission is against time, to save not only Lenya, but all of the four kingdoms as well. In a race against time, and the little remaining magic in Lenya, the twins, along with their friends and family, have the fight of their lives ahead of them. And not everyone makes it through.
This was a riveting addition to the Queens of the Fae series, one of the best. It's a journey full of hope, love, and heartbreak. One of the little things that I loved was a tip to help relieve nausea, which I read while nauseous, which helped both Keir and myself. I can't wait to see what comes after that cliffhanger, I really expected to be saying goodbye to these characters. And for the record, I will never forgive them for what they did to Toby.

Uplifting, action packed, heartbreaking and beautiful. My absolute favorite fae series! The series is so character driven with exquisite world building that from the first book, eight volumes ago, I was hooked and couldn't wait for my next visit to the realm. If the series truly ends at volume ten, I'll be quite sad.
So for one of the best adventures of your life, dive into this fae realm!
Love it love it love it. What a truly “ feel good book “ This was. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit. Tierney rules ok. This really was a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions but so, so worth the journey. Lots of highs and lows, heartache and joy and love. I could gush all day but I read this in one hit, finishing at 3 a.m. I haven’t done that for a looooong while. All my favourite characters in one episode. So thoroughly recommended.
