Rating it a step up from #1 because there was less atrociously bad historical clothing (the woman's underwear is super-incorrect, but the rest was all passable... which really, really makes me wonder why it was so wrong before). We get, maybe, a little more context and definitely a little more of the bigger picture, but then I knocked it back down a star because:

(a) definitely has some "middle book" problems of not much happening; we're just setting up #3.

and

(b) I'm really nervous at how everything (or a satisfying fraction of everything) is going to get wrapped in just one more issue. Four issues, I could see it.

Bonny meets Clyde and the flirtations reach stratospheric heights.
My first thought was where Scott would take the story and suddenly the characters pop up around the principal duo, we see the connection between the two intensify, the escape is great.
The story is short enough to not have any lag despite the setting for a finale. The period feel is much better here and the art is better if that is even possible.
The part of the futuristic robot is still not clear but the neon plans was a good end.
Looking forward towards the next edition

Liked this because it was all character work and we barely had to deal with the industrial magic stuff. No idea how this is gonna wrap up in the next issue, but I'll be sad to see it go. Love to watch Lotay's versions of Gene Tierney, Gary Cooper and William Powell. Truly my fave working comic artist.

Not a lot of action here. Not much is done to move the major plot along, but it does move the story of the characters along nicely. Great art, as usual. I’m certainly interested in seeing where the story is headed next.

Sensational

This keeps getting better and better. No slowing down and around every corner a new surprise! The writing is solid and you feel like you are living in the moment with the characters

Three stars for the artwork and style, which was incredible. Moved too quickly and wasn’t as good as the first issue, but I feel like it could still be a good story. Will read the third one to see how it goes.

Good continuation, if a little slow

I like the character development, though I believe more could have happened. There's still tons of foreshadowing, and lots of mysteries. Hopefully we'll get a few more reveals in the next book.

I liked this more than the first issue, things are started to progress and unfold and I’m excited to see what happens

Two and a half stars maybe. The story clears up a bit here and turns into a crazy flying Bonnie and Clyde affair, but it’s only partially successful. It doesn’t really gel for me

Great artwork. The story is good, but if it isn't building to something exciting I will downgrade my rating.

Tried 2 of these, not going onto the third, don't need to spend more time with these dislikeable characters

Goodreads swapped the covers of isses #2 & #3. This picture is the cover on #3. The one this shows for #3 is actually #2.
