I’m sad to say I did not feel this one. It’s an OK read, but compared to the authors other books, it left me wanting more. My problem with this book might stem from the fact that it was advertised as a grumpy/sunshine ETL. I found that this was not the case. Nic was just a frigid man with a stick up his you know. He never hated Nyla and after a few minor encounters he quickly warmed up to her.
I did enjoy it; I just didn’t love it. I would recommend this one if you like lighter books or are new to ETL.
This book, compared to her first book, was a little rushed. There were a few inconsistencies in the grammar which could have just been the copy I received, but the story itself was also a bit forced. I wasn't able to really get a passionate connection between Nyla and Nic. It was cute to see the prank war bring forth some friction between the two, but I wanted a little more back story on Nic to deepen his story. I did think it was a cute sunshine/grump story!

I loved this book! Paging Dr. Douche looks at how someone can change their world view and learn to live enjoyable again. There were parts where I laughed out loud because, not only were they very descriptive but absolutely hysterical. Other parts have heartbreak, romance, and redemption.
The grumpy, cold Nic (Dr. Douche) runs a small town hospital and is considered THE medical doctor in his community because of his excellent medical care. Along comes Nyla, a traveling nurse who has a temporary contract at his hospital and his structured world begins to change. She has a bubbly, positive personality that is the exact opposite of Nic, who cherishes order.
Needless to say, she disrupts the clinic with some of her pranks in an effort to get Nic to enjoy himself and the other nurses begin to smile for the first time. Nic is attracted to Nyla and her energy but fights it because he thinks she is the polar opposite of him. This is the beginning of their relationship that has many bumps along the way until they find their path back to one another.
Riley Rae's writing style is so engaging and she does an excellent job setting a scene. It as if the reader can actually visualize what is happening. I highly recommend Paging Dr. Douche.

I received a copy of this from BookSirens in exchange for my honest review.
I enjoyed Paging Dr. Douche! I loved all the pranks that Nyla and Nic pulled on each other! Seeing their relationship develop across the pages was so fun and I'm so happy for both of them!
I did think the characters themselves were a little confused. Nyla and Nic both seemed to run hot then cold then back to hot. It didn't seem like they could fully decide on who they wanted to be. Cynthia didn't seem to be an integral part of the story; she read a bit like a holding place just to provide some sort of tension with Nic and Nyla. She didn't seem real necessary to me, and I honestly think I wouldn't have noticed much if she wasn't in the story.
I also had a slight issue with fully grasping the time that was passing in the book. Things seemed to happen really fast with no indication of how much time had passed until later when it was mentioned how much time Nyla had left in her contract. I wish the time passing would've been a little more clear so I had a better idea of how everything was developing.
Despite the above, Paging Dr. Douche really is a fun story! It had me laughing out loud several times reading their antics and I did enjoy reading it, despite the couple issues that I had. I'd give this a 3.5 overall.
Nyla Thimble is a traveling nurse who picks up a temporary four-month contract at a small Delaware hospital, Grand River. After meeting the no-nonsense Nic Dracos, aka Dr. Douche, Nyla makes it her mission to break through his rough exterior and break up the everyday monotony he is used to. Nyla is very secure about herself and her career as a nurse while also trying to find her place in the world. Nic has spent his whole life with a chip on his shoulder due to his great-grandfather building the town and his family owning the hospital he runs.
This book was fast-paced and grumpy/sunshine. I enjoyed the characters and liked the dynamic between the coworkers. It did include the miscommunication trope where 95% of their problems could’ve been solved by just talking to each other, which I find very annoying. I wish the characters were a little more fleshed out and that we, the readers, got to learn more about them and their past. There were also a couple of times that the characters contradicted what they said earlier in the novel. Overall, it is a lighthearted and humorous medical romance that is quick and easy to read. I will be reading more from this author.

I am all for a douchey alpha hole doctor and a nurse who makes him meet his match and calls him out on his BS. The premise of this book is really good. Nic is a doctor in his late 30s who runs a small town hospital but also his family I guess you can say is the town. He feels pressure from his parents to always present a put together front, and the pressures of that had made him a grumpy and lonely doctor.
Enter Nyla, who is a traveling nurse who is sunshine to his storm cloud. She comes in and doesn’t let him bad attitude deter her and makes it her mission to break down his walls.
These two had really good chemistry on the page and loved the prank war.
Where this book fell short was the backstory. Especially with Nyla, why does she feel she always needs to be on the move? You have her questioning what her brother said about running away not always on the move, but you actually never get a reason why from her.
Also, with Nic, you know how his family founded the town and how his mom comes from money, but we never get any background as to why he is the way he is.
This was a cute feel-good book. The character growth, especially for the mmc, was very nice to read. I loved the banter and prankster relationship the main characters had. I was a bit surprised with how mean and rigid the mmc was that he let his mom dictate things and treat him that way. I'm glad eventually he put the ex in her place but I wished the mfc did so as well and also stood up for herself with his mother, instead of getting mad/sad and running each time. Both of their lack of communication and jumping to conclusions made a few messes. This book had lots of moments where I laughed, got angry, and had many other emotions. I loved her family and the relationship she had with her brothers. The only thing I would have added was something between the last chapter and the epilogue to see a bit more how their relationship developed and how they resolved some issues like the ex and mom. The convo where she told him what the mother said, and a bit more info in the epilogue to feel more complete, like, did they get married or engaged? Hopefully, we'll see more of them in future books. Nyla Thimble is a traveling nurse who takes a position in a small town hospital. She sees how terrified the other nurses are of gruff, no-nonsense Dr. Dracos but she's seen worse. When she calls him out for his poor bedside manner, and he sees that she's actually a competent nurse, he backs off. Over time, Nyla sees beneath Nic's bristly exterior to the brilliant, yet lonely man. She's determined to break through his walls and teach him to lighten up. And the man he becomes after a few pranks is truly irresistible. But to find their HEA, they have to battle his overwhelming pressure to live up to the family legacy and her history of running when things get tough. I knew just by the title that this book would be hilarious and it definitely didn't disappoint! I was giggling through all their pranks and flying through the pages. I can't wait for the next book to come out! There were some editing issues I noticed but it didn't detract from the story at all. loved this romantic comedy with Nick and Nyla's intense attraction that they fought to ignore. Dr Douche as Nyla nicknamed Dr Nick Dracos, the chief medical officer of a small hospital in Grand River. Nyla, a travelling nurse, works short contracts around the country living in her RV. She accepted a contract at Grand River Hospital. She also has 5 very intense loyal brothers that have her back if things go sideways and a doting dad.
Meeting The Dreaded Doctor for the first time, she decided that he needed "the stick up his rear end, removed. And she was the one to do it!
This starts the pranking, that gets out of hand, to get Nick to release some of his tension and smile a little, and stop being a bully to all his nursing staff.
The story is well written and has you laughing out loud with what Nyla and Nick get up to as the try to out prank each other.
A slow burn attraction that builds. Has the hot sexy moments every book should have.
Worth every one of the 5 stars given

Nyla is a traveling nurse. Her brothers and her dad are concerned that she has a hard time committing to a place and a person. She is good at her job and when she arrives at her new hospital, it is obvious that the head of the hospital is cold and unkind. She is determined to melt that ice and make him smile. During Halloween she decides to prank him. Game on as he decides to return the prank. As they get to know each other and Nyla tells him what she thinks of him when he is in a sour mood, he gradually eases up and the entire hospital runs more smoothly. I loved the characters in this book. The fact that Dr. Dracos is filthy rich, and Nyla knows nothing of that world makes the book very interesting. Family expectations can be a problem. I loved Nic’s friend, Tripp, Nyla’s brothers, and the nurses at the hospital. Great book attesting to the fact that all places of work are more efficient when people are happy.
In PAGING DR. DOUCHE, Nic and Nyla take the grumpy/sunshine thing to a whole new level. In an effort to run a tight ship and maintain his reputation for excellent medical care, Dr. Nic Dracos is all work and no play. The staff tiptoes past him to not invoke his ire.
Nyla is a traveling nurse that takes a temporary job at Nic’s clinic/critical care operation and charms everyone with her camaraderie, work ethic and penchant for fun.
But conflict arises with people that think Nyla is from the wrong side of the tracks. There is jealousy, big brothers saving their sister, a healthy dose of steam and opposite family dynamics driving the success of Nic and Nyla’s romance.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it will likely not be my last. I was fully invested in the story within the first few pages of chapter one! The poker game and smack talk going on between the siblings was hilarious. I immediately fell for Nyla and all the Thimble siblings. I took a bit longer to warm up to Nic. Douche-y behaviour is never okay, but I decided to give him a pass as Nyla started to break down his walls. This is a funny, fun, sexy, read with just enough angst and drama to keep you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. Nic and Nyla have great chemistry and manage to reach their HEA no matter the numerous road blocks put in their path. I hope that we will get to follow some of the supporting characters in future stories!

What a ripper of a book! laughed out lout many times throughout the book.
Nyla is a traveling nurse, who takes a four month contract in Golden Rivers where Nic is the Chief Medical Officer, his father is the Chief of Police and his family are incredibly wealthy and basically town royalty! Nic is a no nonsense Doctor he is grumpy, he loses a lot of staff, he has no bedside manner and Nyla thinks she should be the one to lighten him up. The Halloween prank war was hilarious and I could just imagine how each member of staff were enjoying the huge change in atmosphere in the small hospital and in particular in their boss.
I loved reading this book and I read it all in one sitting, I could not put it down! I look forward to reading more in the series.

This has probably been my favorite book of 2022! I laughed and cried and laughed some more. My husband sat next to me and looked at me like I was crazy!
"I'VE HEARD all about Dr. McDreamy, but no one warned me about Dr. Douche." Nyla and Nic's story have all the makings of a fun made for tv movie. I mean who doesn't love a good prank war?? I mean come on. Air horns, flash mobs, Halloween pranks! It has so many good ideas and laughter.
I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. It is the perfect book to cozy up on a winter day under the blanket!
Dr. Douche will be one of those books I go back and re-read over and over again!

This is book 2 in Rae's Bad Billionaire Bachelor's series. Our main characters are Nic and Nyla. These two have seemingly opposite personalities but their chemistry sizzles. There are so many things I loved about this read. It's a lighter read with a great balance of sweet and heat. Some fun laughs and humor which I adored, secondary characters made this read all the more because of them....Nyla's family and Nic's friend. I also enjoyed Nic's over the top reactions. I also enjoyed the dual point of view. I think Rae did a great job of keeping this as a stand alone but still tying it in to the series (very well done). So now I'm hooked on this series and I really can't wait to read more!

The author did a really wonderful job at characterisation. The grumpy/sunshine trope was done well, and I loved the chemistry between the main leads.
My favourite part was the prank war between Nic and Nyla; I couldn't stop laughing at the flash mob scene. The part with the snake was great. It easily helped the characters get closer, and I honestly squealed when they finally kissed.
Another thing I loved was Nyla's relationship with her brothers. It was exactly what a large family would act like; the author definitely had that part down.
I didn't particularly care for Nic's mother, and Cynthia was a pain in the neck throughout the book. We don't really get to see what happens with Cynthia's husband. Is he fine with being treated like that? Who knows? Not us.
I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Nic Dracos and Nyla.
Nyla is a traveling nurse. When another hospital is in need of a nurse she is happy to go there. But she didn't expect that the head doctor would be a cold and unkind to everyone there. So she decides to play some prank on this head doctor to get him to laugh. But things don't go a planed.
Nic Dracos is the head doctor of a hospital. He is very focused at his job. He wants everyone do there job well. But things change when a new nurse comes to help at the hospital.
This was a fun story to read. It had action and drama throughout. It had few giggles throughout.
I received a complimentary copy via BookSiren. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
This was a first time read for me by this author but it won't be my last. The story caught my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through. The author does a nice job of setting up the scenes and bringing the story and characters to life. The book definitely left me with a smile on my face and a happy feeling afterwards. The characters were interesting and well-developed with realistic qualities that gave them an authentic personality and were easily relatable. The story was delightfully cute and I really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a fun read with some heart then you definitely will want to pick this one up. I received a complimentary copy from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This was a very well written rom com. The banter between Nyla and Dr. Nic was very entertaining. The happenings at the hospital had me laughing. Nyla started breaking down those walls that Nic had built up. I enjoyed all the other characters except two. Two I really wanted to smack the living crap upside the heads. They needed a good dose of reality checks checks. I also adored Nyla’s brothers and their poker game. That is a great way to play poker. 🤣🤣 I am really hoping these other characters get their own stories. There was drama, some angst, laughs, tears and heat. I loved this story. It just flowed so smoothly.
This is an easy holiday read, with some very amusing escapades and a couple of characters you’ll love to hate. Our female main character is strong…right up until she runs. The steamy scenes were fun, but interestingly, there was a bit of a disconnect (particularly in the first one), almost as if they were written by a different author, or as if the author was in a very different head space when they were written. This book had plenty of drama, action and humour, and was very enjoyable to read.
Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.
“All that fire and sass she has is concentrated right there on her lips, and I want to taste every last drop.”
The dialogue was witty, the story line was a fun take on a romance story stable and it was well written.
It had me giggling out loud many times and tearing up at least once but it stayed upbeat and super enjoyable. So much so that I refused to put it down and finished it in one go!
This was my first book by this author but I’ve already gone and gotten the first one from this bad billionaire bachelor series to read next.

Utterly fantastic book. Dr Nic is initially grouchy and terse with everyone until Nyla thaws his prickly, damaged personality. Whilst Cynthia, his meddling ex wife, is deliciously horrible and tries at every turn to put a spanner in the works. Nyla comes with her own emotional baggage which also acts as a break to their developing sexual tension. Can they overcome the interference and each others issues to get to their HEA. Nyla and Nic are truly likeable and engaging characters. This is the first book of this author's that I have read but I will most certainly be looking out for more. This is a standalone with no cliffhangers and HEA.
This story was full of humor as Nyla- a traveling nurse- gets Nic- a doctor with lots of family pressure- to loosen up. I enjoyed the laughs and the drama that went down to get them to their HEA. Definitely a fun read, the laughter balancing out the drama so your never feeling upset by the hard times the couples face for too long. And they definitely face some rough moments- mostly due to his mom and ex-wife.
There are a few issues that can be easily fixed with editing, but they were also minor and didn't really take away from the story for me. *I am leaving an honest and voluntary review after receiving this book as an ARC.
Dr. Nic Dracos is a grumpy workaholic. His staff is terrified of him. His temporary contract nurse Nyla is charming with a positive work ethic and a great attitude. There is a great deal of repartee between Nyla and Nic and Nyla is just what Nic needs to accomplish his goals. Unlike the rest of his staff, she isn't afraid of him and will not back down when she thinks he is in the wrong. Paging Dr. Douche is a delightful Rom-Com with a HEA ending that I am sure you will enjoy reading.
I received a copy of this book for free, and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Dr. Nic Dracos is a very prestigious in not only the hospital but in the community where he has lived all his life. Nyla is a traveling nurse, with an RV thay she drives around and lives in. Dr. Nic is basically a stuffed shirt, never very friendly to staff or patients. When Nyla steps into her temp duties things start to change and Nic isn't sure whether he likes that or not.
This book had me laughing more than not. It's a very well written book and I am looking forward to the next Grumpy Billionaire story.
This book is funny and binge worthy as I read it in a day, I just couldn’t put it down. Nic is the typical dr douche until Nyla starts work at his hospital and doesn’t put up with his surliness and slowly makes him a better person. I loved following their story and the side characters were just as funny, especially her brothers who really need their own series. I received a copy from Booksirens and leave my review voluntarily.
I don't usually read books involving doctors, but I wanted to give this author a read at least once. The storyline has been done before, but Nyla is a strong female protagonist and she's not afraid to go toe to toe with grumpy Dr. Dracos. There is some comedy relief in Nyla's brothers, and Nic's best friend Tripp. All in all, it was a pretty good book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5⭐️ This was a fantastic story! It had a little bit of everything to make it pretty perfect. Nyla is so great for Nic…she’s not one to take crap and she’s probably the first woman not to cower from Nic’s grumpy demeanor. Their banter made me laugh for sure and when they were struggling it made me sad and disappointed. And I loved the ending..it wrapped everything up and left me with a warm and content feeling.
The book was interesting and witty and I read it in a few hours. The book relaxed me even though I could already predict how it would end. If you don't have too high of expectations, then you will relax and enjoy yourself. If you are looking for something else, then skip this book and look for something that will interest you.
