A first class read as an introduction for children / including older children and adults in regards to this essential part of our history. Lovely easy read and fantastic book that explains our history well.

One of Ladybird’s new titles, commissioned to use the series’ trademark clear writing and excellent illustration to cover topics with modern relevance. This covers the story of West Indian emigration to Britain and decades of racism underpinned by a colonial tradition.
