PLOT: The plot shows the result of heartbreak and disappointment in love with a person who ends up building armor to their heart to protect themselves. It heightens my interest in how Adam and Lauren’s relationship will be. Their interactions are full of humor. The story brings out every emotion in you. It will make you laugh, excited, and angry. It got me in tears both out of heartache and happiness.
It is well written that you will become a part of it. You will want to know their past and see why they became protective of themselves and don’t trust relationships. And then ride on every stage of their relationship. I like how the author skips unnecessary details which made every chapter interesting. There is no cliffhanging but you will want to keep the page turning on every chapter.
CHARACTER: I admire Lauren’s character. She is a strong independent woman who stays focused on her goal and doesn’t need anyone’s money to succeed. Adam is loyal to his family and is a responsible son and brother.
A perfect story of an imperfect life. Love the happy ending. It made me tears with joy.

Adam is an heir to multiple hotel chains and had a perfect childhood and a loving family but was broken by a bad relationship. Together, they fulfill each other's needs with no strings attached. No questions asked and just satisfy their lust. Their setup is great for them. But as they see often, they keep discovering how perfect they fit with each other. However, they don’t want to destroy what they have and are also afraid to get hurt and be disappointed again. Will they overcome their trauma in a relationship? Will they take the risk to break their armor built for years? Will they trust each other in whatever relationship they have to another level?
It is well written that you will become a part of it. You will want to know their past and see why they became protective of themselves and don’t trust relationships. Debut novel who? This was an incredible first novel from Jenna and I’m so honoured to have been able to receive an ARC for your first baby!
You guys, this book was so excellent! If you love a friends with benefits, billionaire story with amazing banter, incredible character depth and development, and of course some steamy spice… then look no further!
I loved Lauren and Adams story! They have so much chemistry that it was jumping off the page. They have such quick and witty dialogue together where they just poke at one another and I couldn’t get enough!
They agree to be just sexual comfort for one another as they both, for different reasons, have no interest in love and relationships. Their reasons gave them so much more depth than just the typical “I’m a player” plot point and it also added a ton of heart to the story.
Lauren’s strength and resilience was incredible to read and her past will have you shedding a tear or two. Adam doesn’t shy away from Lauren’s hang ups and accepts her for the person her tragedies have made her to be, which is a first for her. Adam and Lauren are what they each needed in a partner and balance one another out so beautifully. They’re love story just melted my heart!
If you want a book that will tear your heart to shreds but also put it back together, this is it for you!

This got me out of my book slump. Jenna did a fantastic job creating a world that sucked me right in. Adam and Lauren are perfect, their banter and very obvious mutual attraction to each other is had me completely sucked in. Lauren’s background and clear emotional detachment was heart wrenching and Adam’s ability to help her feel safe enough to express what she’d gone through was very well written. I’m always a fan of the “he falls first” trope but the way in which Adam fell for Lauren was phenomenal, and I appreciated that Jenna wrote him as a man that could show emotions in venerable situations, that made me love him more. Can I also say, I don’t come across a lot of books where Lauren is the FMC’s name…and as a Lauren, myself, I really liked that that’s her name. Thank you for the Luna Lit team and Jenna for giving me a copy of this book to read and review as part of Luna’s Backlist Bookclub! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

This is an amazing book for a debut book by a new author. It is very hot, lots of very hot sex scenes but it also is an amazing story about Lauren who has survived an extremely painful past of child abuse and she has figured out how to survive and face her past, future and present.
Adam is a rich guy with a fear of love and women using him for his money, name or influence. When he meets Lauren he loves that she just wants to hook up. These two really work so well and I enjoyed so much watching them hookup, become real friends and eventually fall for each other.
They both are at a crossroads and they have to both face their fears and insecurities and decide if life and love is worth the huge risk to their hearts. This story made me cry and I have not cried when reading a book in years. I really loved it so much and I cannot wait to read more in this series.

This book took me by surprise…
She’s a spicy meatball (🌶🌶🌶)!!
But there’s so much emotional depth too!
I stayed up late finishing it because I couldn’t put it down.
As we learn about Lauren & Adam’s histories, there are some really dark moments, but they lead to some truly beautiful moments as well.
Adam is 🔥🔥🔥. And sweet Lauren! Her journey is particularly impactful.
I loved these characters and can’t wait to keep reading the series!

I had to sleep before I left this review- BECAUSE I LOVED THIS BOOK.
Never Till Now is the first book in a series and it is written with a dual POV. Adam and Lauren are the main characters and reading in their POV, really makes you connect with them.
Adam doesnt do relationships due to a fear of women using him for his money or name, so he had very strict rules when it comes to hook ups.
Lauren also doesnt do relationships as shes had nothing but a life of trauma and this is how she has learnt to live her life without anymore pain.
They both agree to rules regarding their hook up and they make it work- a cute not couple.
You really fall in love with them, seperately and together. Towards the end of the book I was so upset how they just walked away from each other, that tugged my hearstrings. There was a lot of emotion from me during this book.
I also got the extra Epilogue which I am SO GRATEFUL for as that really concluded the story and made perfect sense. Never Till Now was a fabulous read and I loved it.
This book is very much in my top 5 for 2022 and I cannot wait to read book 2 which follow Kelsie and Max' story.

I loved this sweet, spicy, one night stand turned friends with benefits romance. These characters were portrayed in a relatable manner. Their individual struggles and those as a couple felt realistic. These two were opposites in that Lauren the FMC was a strong, badass and Adam the MMC was a hardcore romantic. I loved this contrast to other books. Lauren and Adam grew throughout the book and I loved seeing them come together!

Loved It !! . . .
Adam Wheaton broke up with Miranda in the lobby of the hotel that his family owns. Adam glared at the front desk personnel to warn them not to tell his father about it. Then he went to the bar to find a willing female to relax him. (And he has the nerve to be angry that women only think of him because of his bank account? Well probably because he thinks of them only as a quick booty call. Jerk!)
The bartender nods to let him know the blonde he is looking at is alone so he can move in on her. He rolls up his sleeves to show off his muscular forearms and make her drool. He’s already assuming she is here late in the evening because she is on the prowl. He has it all planned out and choreographed in his mind, even the words he knows she will say to him. Too bad he will only give her a one-night-stand. When she doesn’t make a move, he comments on the lonely girl at the bar. So she comments about the guy who never hears “NO”. She is smirking but doesn’t look at him. She’s intelligent – so he will make her beg once he wins her over. But his compliments are ignored with total lack of interest. Trying to impress her as he prepares to hang a picture on the wall, keeping constant eye contact with her, he whacks his thumb with the hammer. She goes behind the bar, grabs a thumbtack, uses a lighter to sanitize it, and jabs it into his thumb to release the painful pressure of the trapped blood while running his thumb under cold water.
Then he tries with her yet again, ordering a drink for her without asking her preference. So she asks if his girlfriend from the lobby drinks that kind, because she doesn’t. When he says he will thank her properly when they get out of here together, she tells him not to get attached because she made his boo-boo feel better. Then she thanked the bartender for the Shirley Temple non-alcoholic drink and she left the bar. This is the only woman he ever cared to know, and she wouldn’t give him her name. Would they ever meet up again?

This is the first book in The Siblings of Heir with two people who are doing their best to stay away from love or getting feelings involved. Lauren intelligent working as a nurse practitioner heading to an interview at the hospital where she meets an interesting guy after her interview but she doesn’t really interact socially well due to a childhood trauma, being raised in the foster system where trust isn’t easy so trying to make a life for herself taking control of her situation by being closed off with nearly everyone it helps her to combat her mental ability to deal with her childhood. Adam sexy as all get out working in one of his family hotels which they own run several hotels, he stays away from any commitment when it comes to relationships due to his past and that most women he meet see his money or better his family name so they want all that comes along with it him having that last name when all he really wants is someone to see him. The moment he meets Lauren the attraction is instant, intense but she ignores his charm which he has used on many before her but for her it doesn’t work and when she hears how she wants a relationship he is all onboard and if they should develop feelings either one of them then they have agreed to walk away ending their agreement. But Lauren learned in a painful away to guard her heart and never show weakness, but that magnetic pull isn’t going any where in fact it is growing stronger making it impossible for them to walk away as planned but will they see this before hurting one another, will she find the peace that she needs, will her heart be safe with Adam, and can they find happiness?.

I just want to start by saying wow! This book is amazing! I can't wait to get my hands on the physical copy for my book shelf!
This is a tale of two completely different types of people terrified of love for different reasons. Adam a wealthy man with a famous last name is terrified of letting his guard down and being used for his name and wealth. Lauren who grew up in foster never learning what it felt like to be loved or wanted. She thinks if she avoids feelings she can avoid the disappointment and pain.
Both are forced to find their true selves and find it in each other to break the heart barriers down. They have to battle hurt, trust, and insecurities to win this battle of self love before they can be loved. They come to truly balance each other out in unexpected situations.

Never Till Now, by Jenna Lockwood, is the first book in the Siblings of Heir Series. Bonus, it's written in dual POVs.
The Wheaton family owns luxury hotels and everyone expects Adam Wheaton to be a player. He is defiantly an alpha male, except when it comes to Lauren.
Lauren is strong, witty, and independent, but she also learned long ago to turn her emotions off, even with he new ER job. That is until Adam starts getting more than into her bed, but also into her heart.
This book is HOT! Like right away. No slow burn, more ingite with gas and a lighter, but not in an insta love way.
I loved it! The spice is top notch, but it also has a great plot with depth and variety of emotion. There are some past triggers that are discussed in the present which helps to understand the characters and their choices. I enjoyed when the two main character met their families because I was able to watch the mind frame of them and the relationship between them evolve.
Representation of mental and emtional abuse coupled with anxiety really hit close to home for me. It was done in a respectful and real way which meant the world to me. I noted countless lines and found myself texting friends to share with them. There was a specific inter dialog Lauren has that I am still in awe over (thank you so so much for that @jennalockwood.author
).
I am on the edge of my seat for book 2!

This book was absolutely amazing and the spice was on point! 🥵
I struggle with billionaire romances quite a bit but not with this one. I absolutely loved Adam, Lauren, and all the side characters as well. Rachel was a bit far out there but she definitely gave some comic relief. 😂
This was steamy but it has so much depth to it as well which you don't always get. I'm not afraid to admit it had me tearing up a few times! There were some truly heartbreaking moments (Laurens past) but absolutely beautiful moments that truly moved me. This honestly might be one of my fave reads of 2022.

This book is a debut novel. It was entertaining, heartbreaking, swoony and just purely wonderful. There was more than just the romance aspect but real character growth. My heart broke for Lauren completely and seeing both her and Adam face their daemons was so real and honest. If anyone deserves a happily ever after it’s Lauren. I enjoyed every moment. This is a well written story that will pull into from the start and take you on the ride to the end. But it did seem to be slow at times.

Adam and Lauren have amazing chemistry and work so well together. I love everything about this book and what Lauren strives to do without Adam's help. The ending made me cry freaking happy tears! I love seeing Lauren get her HEA.

Debut author Jenna Lockwood blew it out of the park with Never Til Now! This book touches on some hard themes and brings awareness to some issues children in foster care face, so be aware of those if it's a trigger for you!

Never till Now is a heartwarming debut book by Jenna Lockwood. True to the warnings, the story dose delve into the subjects of trauma and sexual abuse but it is done so in a gentle and respectful way that stays true to the characters.
Following two characters, both highly guarded due to being wronged in the past, who seek the company of each other with the understanding that there will never be an attachment or a relationship. Of course when a strong and steamy sexual chemistry is involved along with the comfort and understanding the other brings the other, a relationship is bound to happen no matter how much they fight it. This book is so beautifully and emotionally written, you become invested in the lives of these characters, you want to see them succeed and to find their joy. Grab a box of tissues, a bowl of ice cream and dig into this amazing book, you will be happy you did!

This was my first billionaire romance and it definitely put me in my feels. The way Adam talks to Lauren is everything, and I felt like I was working out my own relationship issues alongside them.

This book was amazing. I rarely find a story that captures my full attention and has me anxiously waiting to see what will happen next. I love how strong Adam was for Lauren and how he continued to stand by and give her what she needed to heal even though it was outside of his original intent. So happy that Lauren was able to face and overcome her trauma and how she was able to use those experiences to help others heal. I can't wait to read about Kensie and Max as I sense there's an intense story for those two and I think it's gonna be a juicy read. Definitely in my recommended pile.

Well written and draws you into Lauren and Adam's lives quickly. Neither are interested in having a long term relationship due the each of their past hurts but they are drawn to each other. Hard to put down. Love HEA. TRIGGER ALERT: Contains elements of child abuse.

What an amazing start to this new series The Siblings of Heir. The story flows well, the characters are engaging and fit well together. The banter between Lauren and Adam is amazing. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to read the next book. The book will hold your attention all the way through, I loved it.
